A nice new Indian restaurant by USC campus !!! Mango lassi is quite refreshing even on the coldest day of the year. Ask for the owner Sandy she will be your guide into all their Indian cuisine. Food was unique with many textures and spices making the Aloo Tikka Chaat pop with many flavors.

We first saw this place in DoorDash and all of their food looked really good, so we said we'd save it to go in person because honestly some foods taste a little better in person. We initially ordered the mixed grilled platter which is chicken with 3 diff sauces but they ran out so we got tandoori chicken which I'm very happy we got because the chicken was so tender and the flavor and spices were perfect. They were a nice size piece of chicken as well. We also got the tandoori salmon which we got medium and it was cooked really well. I think it was more medium well but it tasted great, almost melted in your mouth. It was really good but it was a little tart for me but my bf loved it. Now at any Indian restaurant, I have to get samosas (no matter if I'm on my diet or not lol) and I got the lamb ones. The corners of the crust were a little overcooked but the lamb was so moist and flavorful, it had a little bit of peas in there. I definitely loved those, I really wanted more lol. And lastly we got shrimp noodles from the Indo-Chinese section of the menu. We opted for no vegetables because he's not a huge fan of garlic and we both don't like onions, so it had eggs, shrimp and the noodles. Tbh I loved it, it was perfect balance of flavor and noodles were cooked perfectly. My bf doesn't like a lot of sauce anyways, so it was great for us. For dessert, I grabbed a Shahi Kulfi ice cream bar before we left. I tried the almond one and it was rich, creamy and had bits of almond in it. It was actually really good. I would love to go back and try the other flavors. Our overall experience was a 4.5/5 only because they ran out of some menu items, but I can't wait to come back and try other foods. Please check it out if you have some time. It's not a fancy place, it reminds me of an older Chinese restaurant vibe, but you'll definitely experience some good food and nice people.

Bollywood Bites is a great spot if you're craving Indian food. The food is delicious and the overall vibe of the place is really nice and welcoming. Service is quick, so you don't have to wait long for your meal. The naan was especially good--very soft and tasty, and it paired perfectly with the dishes. If you enjoy spicy Indian food, I would recommend asking for a higher spice level because the standard spice level may feel mild for people who are used to authentic Indian flavors. Overall, a good place for flavorful Indian food, quick service, and a pleasant dining experience

I liked the food. It was better than other Indian restaurants in Columbia. We liked appetizers, main course. Naan was really good.

Service was quick, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming--especially thanks to the owner, who is absolutely adorable and always greets guests with a big smile. I ordered the unagi rice bowl, and it was amazing. The eel was cooked perfectly--tender with just the right amount of char--and the sauce had a great balance of sweet and savory. The steamed egg is one of my favorite sides. We also tried the crispy tofu appetizer and the popcorn chicken rice bowl. The tofu was super crispy and flavorful, though the popcorn chicken could use a touch more seasoning. To top it all off, I had a green tea with boba, and the boba was cooked perfectly as always--soft and chewy with just the right texture. Highly recommend JJ's for a cozy lunch with delicious food and friendly service!

What's hot - Menu. It's a pretty extensive menu- meats, veggies, tofu, maybe even for vegans. - Service. For ordering food for a family of 6, our order was ready in about 20 minutes. Everything was properly wrapped up. Nothing was missing. When I gave them the name for our order, everything was ready. They're also open during major American holidays, such as Christmas and New Year's, which is very helpful. - Location. Pretty easy to find in a small plaza with other shops. When we went on Christmas Day, all their tables and chairs were pushed to the side, so I'm uncertain whether they're currently doing table service or if it's just take away orders. - Price. Very reasonable, especially given the portions. If you order a quart, versus a pint, it's less than $10, which includes white rice. What's not - Quality. As a child of immigrant parents, who grew up in Silicon Valley, CA, where there is a large community of Chinese immigrants, I can say that this is not authentic Chinese food. It's catered for the local American population. The flavor and seasoning of the food is very generic. For example the difference between my spicy garlic tofu and vegetable delight was only the tofu. All the vegetables between the two dishes were literally the same, including the sauce/taste. With that said, it's not terrible. For Americanized Chinese food, it works. Final Answer Wouldn't be my first choice for quality Chinese food, but it's reliable.
