As a vegetarian, I usually go for the Falafel Veggue combo platter or sandwich. My sweetie usually does the gyro sandwich or wings combo. Seems like most customers order wings from there too, understandably. All the salads are rather tasty too, and we usually get the Greek or garden with our orders (or instead of fries). Have heard the tilapia is good too. The fries can be hit or miss though... probably depends on how often they change the oil I suppose. We love finding small, local gems and this definitely was. We started with the desserts and coffee. Make sure you try the Turkish coffee if you're a serious coffee lover! The gal (with the friendliest smile ever) said it has added cardamom. It was perfect with a little dunkable traditional cookie. But the baklava, in the words of my son "he could eat everyday". Boeshreen had been on my list of places to check out for the better part of a year, and after my experience I don't know how it has the reviews it does. My daughter and I went for lunch on a Friday around 1:30 and the place was completely empty. I legitimately wondered if they were open, because the lights were off, nobody was at either counter, and the food warmer section was completely empty. A nice younger guy came out of the back and took our order (1 Lamb Gyro combo and 1 Philly Cheesesteak combo), and we went to go get a table. First off, every single table was sticky. This combined with the musty smell and the fact that the men's restroom didn't flush made me question what the kitchen must look like. Our food came out after about 10 minutes and was piping hot. Presentation was pretty nice. The fries tasted like Ore-Ida frozen fries with some sort of seasoning sprinkled on, but were crunchy and fresh. The lamb gyro and the philly meat tasted the exact same - the only difference was the bread and the veggies. I went to the counter to ask for some extra napkins and ketchup - was two of each for two people. Overall, I was really disappointed. Placed an order via DoorDash for lunch one day thinking it would be quicker than going in to order and wait. I was sadly mistaken. I got there and there were at least 4 people waiting for food. The food certainly made up for my disappointment in regards to wait time! My gyro was so tasty it was literally perfect! The French fries were so crispy and very well seasoned! My husband isn't much of a fry guy but he helped me finish off the fries quickly, I'll definitely order extras next time. This place never fails to disappoint. They have legit middle eastern food with that level of comfort one would experience with eating it. One side is their food cafe side, the other is the drink/coffee cafe side. Their cookies in the jars are SO GOOD. They are not overly sweet, almost remind me of a subtle version of a shortbread cookie. I ate the whole small jar within less than 2 days! I do miss their baba ganoush. They had it within past 2 years and suddenly it went away the last time I visited. It was definitely by far my most favorite of their entire menu. Their other food options are incredible. I ordered the lamb gyro special with Greek salad & the hubby ordered the beef gyro special with fries. Although I thought the meat could've used a bit more Greek seasoning, overall we were both pleased with our meals. the pita & meat were moist & the fixings fresh. The carrot cake was a little klunky looking & dry in my opinion, but my husband (the "foodie in training") didn't mind eating it. Recently ive noticed for those who may have a fish allergy that the fries and anything deep fried are cross contaminated, i feel as if boeshreen has always treated their regulars with love and given the upmost satisfaction previously with old members but recently the people seem careless, rude, and could care less about any complaint. I think its pretty crazy how a small cup of ranch is 50¢ , and there's only enough sauce in the cup for maybe 1 wing ( if you're really a ranch on your wing person you know what im saying) . Went here close to midnight after taking a DoorDash order here a few weeks prior. It smelled super yummy when I was delivering the food, so I decided to try it out for myself. Thank God I did, I was BEYOND impressed. I got the chicken tender meal (to play it safe for my first trip there) and it was absolutely amazing. The Cajun fries are also 5x better than the French fries, in my opinion. My boyfriend got the wings combo, and although he hoped for a little bit more dressing on the wings, he ate every last one (this says a lot, considering he has a food palate of a 5 year old haha). I haven't tried the desserts or coffee though. I take one start off due to the sometimes awkward service. There is a hot bar as well as some things which are made to order. If in a group ordering from both types of menu items, the hot bar food would be ready much earlier than the made to order. I have been to Boeshreen twice now and I definitely plan on going back. I love to eat falafel and baba ganoush. On my first visit that's what I had, with pita bread of course. The second time I only had baba ganoush. But the second time I went with a few coworkers. They branched and got other items. Dishes ranged from salads to kabobs to sandwiches. I only had baba ganoush the second time around. I was in heaven. There are tons more options to try, so i will definitely be back. I would defiantly recommend giving it a try. read more
