It was fantastic! We have been coming here for years, I just recently started riding for Yelp. When an Indian colleague of mine said this is where she comes to eat, I was sold! Coming here for four years, you see multi generational, Indian families, eating here, which is a testimony to its authenticity. The owner (see the picture) is Indian, and recently celebrated getting his green card. He and his staff give phenomenal service. Amazing food! Very friendly owner/server. We were thankful to find Bollywood again. We went to the one downtown Harrisburg a number of times and was saddened when it didn't make it through Covid. Amazing service and food! Would highly recommend. Have always been greeted with a smile and the staff is extremely warm and welcoming. This is my favorite Indian restaurant in the area. My favorite dish here so far has to be the paneer lababdar. Our waitress recommended it to us and said it was the chef's specialty. So glad we gave it a try! The ambience is great as well. There are booths in the back and a more formal dining room area in the front of the restaurant. The ras malai are a must for dessert! Will keep coming back for more. read more

I took a small group there on 2 different occasions. Everyone enjoyed the food. Our server was excellent! He took the time to answer our questions and he was very accommodating. The appetizers were delicious. We enjoyed sharing the bread basket that had 3 difficult flavors of naan. We could order different levels of heat in most of the entrees. This is one of the group's favorite restaurants. We will be returning soon. This one of the top 5 choices. Sorry, forgot to take pictures. If I needed to list any negatives, some of us felt that our lamb was over cooked. As far as curb appeal, there was a lot of litter & cigarette butts outside. For most people that can be overlooked but for people using walkers & wheelchairs, they have to maneuver through that. read more

Saturday buffet lunch is ok. There aren't many selections on the buffet to choose from but the ones that they have were pretty good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were the only ones there until one other person came in before we left.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Much prefer Taste Of India in Lancaster. Really not comparable to them, but much closer in distance for us. One note: I asked the server if coffee was included in the buffet. She went and checked and then came back and asked how I would like it prepared. Coffee was instant (not fully dissolved), drank a few sips and left it. When I went to pay, I was charged $4 . I love this place!! My favorite dish is the Chicken Tikka,,,this chicken is so moist and the taste is so delicious. I order it at least once a week. I order it with a green sauce and a tamarind sauce on the side with rice. Of course, the Marsala sauce is delicious too. Everything I've tried is delectable!!! The Xacutti is soooo good and I pretty much get it every time. A close 2nd or maybe even a tie for first is the malai kofta! I always pair it with the garlic naan and it's perfect for a nice cozy meal. Prices are a little high for me but it works out because I always have leftovers. read more

I've eaten here many, many times and Bollywood is easily the tastiest and most consistent Indian food on this side of the river. Great spice level too! My go-tos for both dine-in and take-out are : butter chicken/makhni chicken (smoother flavor profile over chicken tikka masala) korma curry (delicious rich and well spiced curry with any protein) samosa chaat and chicken 65 - great apps for 1-3 people garlic honey shrimp and manchurian - both of these are delish but not at all spicy, get them if you've got spice intolerance in your group The only negatives: biryani- their biryani is oddly sweet, I'd avoid. desserts - these are a little cloying rather than addictive, possibly not the best sugars added into them. Will continue to get dine-in and doordash from the restaurant, and I'm so thankful they both opened up and survived during the pandemic! read more

There are few things in this world I miss more than Bollywood in downtown Harrisburg. Everything about that place was wonderful and I wish I could say the same about this one if Hershey. We had dinner one night and enjoyed the food so much we went back for lunch on a Saturday. They have a buffet on weekends and I over ate because the food was so good. The flavors can't be described they were so good. $15 for all you can eat and it was hard to stop. If you have never tried them I would suggest lunch on the weekends so you can try many different dishes. And LENTILS!!! I didn't think I liked them.... I DO NOW. Back home in MI, we had a favorite where Mild was spicy enough, but here spicy is where it actually gets spicy where the Lassi is needed. Chicken tikka masala is a go to with naan, and mango lassis! Amazing! The food was excellent, the people and service wonderful. Shrimp Goan curry just spicy enough, with a surprise sweet and sour addition from a wild fruit. Naan was perfect, samosas crispy on the outside, tender and steamy on the inside. My son had tomato soup without the basil, and hubby had the tangy sweet and spicy shrimp appetizer. The best part though was after we had paid, the waiters invited my kids into the kitchen (we stood by the door, away from the food) to see how they make naan! It was so interesting (and delicious!). This is the best Indian food I have had in some time and I have travelled from coast to coast. Kudos to the chef! The naan was just right. We had the seafood vindaloo - extra spicy - and the makhani with chicken. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will be returning. This was my second time coming to Bollywood and this time I brought my whole family to enjoy the AMAZING food. We were met with a hospitable staff that presented our food beautifully and truly catered to our every need. I enjoyed the Mongolian chicken curry once more and my family tried a mixed tandoori as well as the Bollywood biryani special. We also all shared an order of the "bread basket" which comes with three delicious naans - garlic, butter, and onion.
