An empty nail salon isn't a convenience; it's a neon warning sign. I ignored it. I had some unexpected free time, needed a pedicure, and figured I'd lucked out. Instead, I walked into one of the most disappointing pedicures I've ever had. First, they used a mini electric sander to remove the polish, which also managed to remove some of my skin. Unfortunately, that was just the beginning. The "salt scrub" contained no discernible salt, mostly oil. Calling it a scrub feels generous because there was no actual scrubbing, just a quick application before it was wiped away. The "massage" can best be described as lotion application. I've experienced more vigorous exfoliation washing dishes with a soft sponge. If that qualified as a massage, then moisturizing after a shower should count as a spa treatment. By the end, it felt like every step of a pedicure was technically included, but only in the most literal sense possible. At least I can honestly say I paid for a nail color change, because that's about all I received. .... And to respond to the comment the owner left. First off, thank you for your response. To clarify, my disappointment wasn't that I booked a Regular Pedicure instead of a Spa or Deluxe Pedicure. I understood that I wasn't paying for upgraded treatments or an extended massage. My concern is that the services included in the Regular Pedicure were not performed to a reasonable standard. The electric tool used to remove my polish also removed some of my skin. The "salt scrub" did not function as an exfoliating scrub, and the lotion was simply applied and wiped away with virtually no massage at all. In addition, the nail polish application itself was uneven and didn't fully cover several of my toenails. My review wasn't about expecting premium service, it was about the quality of the services I did receive. I had a very painful and heartbreaking experience. Although the mall location looks nice, the receptionist was rude, and the atmosphere felt cold and unwelcoming. Khatoon who cut my hair chopped it unevenly. I went to another stylist, but no one was able to fix it. When I returned to explain what had happened, instead of apologizing, she smiled, which made me feel even worse. I also had a manicure with Anna, and she cut my cuticle. My finger was painful for quite a while afterward. During my eyebrow service, the stylist was talking while working on me. The experience was so upsetting that it made me cry. I told the owner what had happened, but he didn't even say he was sorry. That made me feel like they did not care about me or my experience as a customer. Based on how I was treated, I left feeling that there was a lack of compassion, professionalism, and respect for customers. I would not recommend this salon. I suggest finding a place where people are treated with care, kindness, and professionalism. read more

This is a good location inside Valley Fair but... I would go somewhere else. The girl waxing my eyebrows spilled wax in my hair. I have no idea how she could be so clumsy. When you go somewhere that offers a service professionally, it's reasonable to expect at least as good of a job as the average person can do themselves. I came here in a pinch and really regretted it. Do not come here for a manicure. I, a non-nail professional, did a much better job in the same amount of time. (1) at the beginning, the lady didn't remove all of my old nail polish before soaking my nails in water - I pointed out 2 spots that she missed - and she said it was ok because she would remove the cuticle oil after anyway. (She didn't). (2) when she was filing my nails, I asked for between oval and almond. When she was done, she had left square edges on some of the nails, and the shape of each nail was different. I had to take the file to demonstrate on one nail what I wanted, and I made the mistake of trusting that she'd file my other nails in the same shape before painting. I was wrong and only noticed after I left. (3) I asked her not to file/buff on top of my nails and she did anyway - on one hand but not the other. (After the first nail I didn't want to have one nail uneven). (4) The lady who did my nails did not seem to understand much of what I was asking for - I wanted an opaque shade and she suggested a shade that did not look translucent on the sample nail, but where you could still see my natural nail underneath the gaps in the glitter after 2 coats. The second star is for her reaching for a more opaque shade after I repeated for the third time I wanted an opaque shade, after the first two coats were already done. (5) the polish job was uneven. The nail polish was all over my cuticles and sides of my fingers - and she didn't clean the excess polish from my cuticles/fingers before she put my hands in the dryer (cleanup is a standard practice at all other salons I've been to). I noticed the mess after I left. (6) the whole time she seemed to be rushing through my service and rushing to get me to leave, so I didn't notice her mistakes until after I left the salon. By that point it was too late and there was too much wrong for me to trust them for a proper redo. (7) Every time I pointed something out (e.g. that the polish was too transparent), she kept saying it was not her fault and blamed it on the color, quality of my nails, etc. The photos weee taken by a friend right after the manicure as we were waiting for our Uber. I had an important event in 3 hours - I had to take off the bad polish job, buy supplies from Walgreens and was able to re-do it with a much better job in the same amount of time. The salon was clean and I appreciated that they were able to take me as a walk-in. Super convenient as well, as my husband and son were able to walk around the mall while I got some "me-time". I came in for a gel mani and regular pedi. The pedi chair was comfortable and has a massage function which was a nice added touch. My nail tech was nice enough, however she did not listen to what I wanted. I wanted a regular pedicure, with regular polish. She kept insisting that gel is better, will last longer, etc. I personally don't really care for gel on my toes, I just needed my toes to look cute for a couple days for a girls' weekend. I expressed that I wanted normal polish and she verbally expressed understanding, but when she started on my toes, she used gel. Ok, that's going to cost me extra, but whatever. Then she started to work on my manicure. For this, I did want gel because I wash my hands quite frequently and needed this to last. I asked for rounded French tips. To this, she responded, are you sure? It looks better on square nails" and spent the next couple minutes talking me into changing my mind. This left a very bad taste in my mouth as she already disregarded my wants from the get-go. I did like the salon itself and how convenient everything was. I'm not sure if I'll ever return, but if I do, I will get a different nail tech. read more

I regularly get my manicure done and I've been to multiple different place so I can confidently say that I won't be going back to Bollywood. They're very below average in so many ways. First, they reused an old towel from who knows how many customers ago. I had to ask them to give me a clean towel. After I was done, I didn't see them changing the towel they were using for me for the next person so they may very well have a cleanliness issue. Secondly, they were supposed to charge $25 for a regular mani. I later realized from my receipt that they charged me $40. It felt very scammy there. I can add a few more reasons but ultimately, last thing to add was that the work wasn't very good. This is comparing to a lot of other places that would have done a much better looking manicure. read more
