We had steak and cheese heroes. Best ever. This is a food truck, so we try to follow them wherever they go.

My boyfriend and I were having a date night at Bottle Theory in Apex, and we were excited that the Bomb A$$ food truck was there. We've been wanting to try them for awhile. I went to their website and noticed you could place your order online and select a time to pick it up. I liked that option so we could sit in the bottle shop and enjoy our beers until we were ready to eat. I ordered the shrimp po'boy and an order of tots with the Bomb A$$ sauce, my boyfriend ordered the cheeseburger and tots. The tots were the best we've ever had!! They are super crispy and the seasoning that they use is beyond reproach. It's so good! The po'boy was very flavorful and delicious!! The shrimp were perfectly cooked and the sub roll was very fresh. It's a must order. My boyfriend loved his burger, giving it a 4.5 out of 5 stars. We are definitely looking forward to our next visit! read more

Food Truck Time: Bomb A$$ Sandwich Company at Piranha Joe Coffee (better known as Vicious Fishes Apex after the morning) This food truck is usually at this location to serve breakfast sandwiches and tots in the morning on the weekend. It's perfect because you can grab a drink and food then sit at one of the picnic tables outside. I tried a bacon, cheddar cheese and egg sandwich with tots when I visited and the food and service were both good. Everything, and I mean everything, was amazing! Let's start with the tater tots. I don't know who came up with the seasoning. I don't know what mastermind that came from, where the genius who created it pulled that idea from but they should market that seasoning. it is SO FLAVORFUL! He wasn't joking when he said it would be the best tater tots I ever had. Then there was the Philly. The steak was seasoned beautifully. The Philly was a little dry but the flavor was on point. Just needs like a sauce or some melted cheese on it to moisten it up. Up next, the Cuban. I have a Cuban sandwich addiction and they did not disappoint! the pickles? Perfection. The mustard? Delicious. the meats and cheeses? Perfectly balanced. I cannot say enough good things about it. Then last but not least, the burger! Oh lord, if I could eat one of those everyday without gaining weight I would do it. Two crispy smashed burgers on a toasted bun loaded with delicious toppings. I'm drooling just thinking about it. The chicken burrito was amazing , spicy with lots of shredded chicken with corn and salsa. A one of the kind burrito with rich flavor. The chicken sandwich was a perfect rendition of a classic . I am addicted to the bahn mi sandwich and loaded tots from Bomb A$$. The bahn mi has legit flavors, fresh pickled veggies, and homemade pâté. Tots are tossed in some kind of magic fairy dust savory seasoning, bathed in a creamy cheese sauce, and covered with huge, thick, perfectly cooked pieces of bacon. This truck is totally worth stalking on socials to find their location, I highly recommend. read more

Very good sandwich's and there tater tot's are in beatable it's slightly pricey but worth the cost

Excellent all the way around. By the time we got there, they had sold out of a lot of things, so go early (which I actually think is a good sign) but the burger, po boy, tots, and especially the cheesesteaks we got were phenomenal. Wait time and price were great, but most importantly, the owners walked around to each table when they were packing up to make sure everything was great and asking for suggestions. Definitely adding to my list of must-have trucks whenever they're in Apex. read more

Oh man the tots...where do I start! We got a Cuban and a Philly and they were awesome! I got a side of tots and idk what the seasoning is or the bomb sauce was but they live up to the name, Bomb A$$! I don't have any pictures because we ate the food too fast. We had these gentlemen come to our house for a birthday party and they were prompt, good communication, and awesome food. Burger was great, shrimp was excellent, grilled cheese and tots were a hit with the kiddos, cubans, cheesesteak, etc all great. Highly recommend. read more

Was really hoping to catch this food truck at Fortnight today. The Street finder app said they would be open from noon till 4:30. I arrived at little after 4:00 p.m. unfortunately to find they were packing up and leaving. Fortnight was making them move out because they had another truck coming in at 5:00. We were lucky enough to be introduced to Bomb A$$ Sandwich Co when we visited Vicious Fish. We will certainly be seeking them out from now on. All three of us ordered different sandwiches and we were all loving them, having each other taste what we got because it had to be experienced. We final got the chance to try this truck's food at Vicious Fishes in Apex and the whole family, mom, dad, and three sons were all working the truck. Very friendly and know their food!! we had two burgers and some tots... everything was fresh, hot and absolutely delicious!! It was the bomb!! I can't really comment on how the food taste because I never got to taste it. They were at our facility from 9 PM until midnight. I got down to the truck at 9:45 PM with 11 orders, mostly consisting of their Philly cheesesteak. When I went to order the first one they told me that they were out of the Philly cheesesteak. We changed our orders to the Buffalo cheesesteaks and loaded tots. I paid for all of the orders separately with cards, waited 30 minutes, then was called to the window to be told that they we're out of buffalo cheese steaks and tater tot's. They had to reimburse the majority of the cards. The few people that did get their order like the shrimp Poboy and the burgers said that they were not even edible. They ran out of propane. They seem to be very unorganized and they clearly were not prepared to be at our facility from nine to midnight with a sufficient amount of supplies. Highly highly disappointing.
