So happy to discover this deli!! The Reuben sandwich is made with a generous amount of pastrami! My husband loves pastrami sandwiches and has a very high bar. He said it was excellent, which is high praise! I had the strawberry feta salad which was very fresh and had a lot of strawberries, blueberries, and cranberries. The dressing was just ok, but I still enjoyed it. He chose the side of fries but want to try the homemade chips next time!! We look forward to visiting again. Their breakfast menu looks really good! My family and I finally got the opportunity to try Tom's Deli, and their pastrami was phenomenal. We've tried pastrami at several local spots around Raleigh, but this place is unmatched. The service was standard, nothing over the top, but that's not a bad thing. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed while we were there, which made the experience even better. Amazing sandwich, we're not from this area but if we visit again we would come here. I ordered a Cuban Tom's style with a side of fruit. Absolutely amazing. Usually when you get fruit from a restaurant it's soggy and sad but this was fresh and sweet, watermelon, red/green grapes, blueberries, pineapple, and strawberries. I grabbed the food as take-out so I got to park in one of the premium spots right by the restaurant, but there were plenty of other open spots in the parking lot too :) Inside, it looked like a pretty classic deli. My food was ready on time, which is always nice. I got the #4 (Original Roast Beef) with rosemary parmesan chips on the side, which was a little pricey at $17. The sandwich wasn't bad at all but nothing spectacular, and the chips were OK but not super flavorful. Not a bad experience but a little overpriced for me. Second visit included a chef salad, despite the recent recall! 2 weeks out and I still feel Ok haha ... chef salad was overstuffed with goodies, a big salad in Elaine Benes parlance, so big I turned my bowl over, dumping the salad into the basket ... manager told me that was their intent. Came here when they opened at 11 am. Restaurant is very clean and spacious with outside tables as well. They were out of veggie burgers so I ordered a side of potato salad and the portion was large. It was creamy and crunchy with celery with large chunks of red skinned potatoes. The sweet potato fries came out hot and were light and crispy with a delicious dipping sauce. Went in for a late lunch. Got the beef on weck, potato salad, and the strawberry salad. Was enough for 2 to share and take home! Sandwich was filled with meat and very tasty, Salad was large and tasty ( you can add chicken on it for an extra 3 bucks), and potato salad was decent( I thought it was a little dry but my dad liked it, to each their own). There's canned sodas, bottled sodas, and fountain sodas. The boys working were all very nice. The cashier was friendly and helpful, He also came around to drop off our food, pick up our baskets, and check on things. Next we met Tyson, he was a gracious host and we had a nice conversation. Stopped by after hearing about this new place. Greeted by the owner as soon as I walked in. Friendly staff, quick service. This was early Friday around 5pm. Ordered a Rueben with a side of garlic Parmesan chips. Most sandwiches come with one side and a pickle. The Rueben was ok. Not the best I've had. The slices were a bit thick and a little hard to chew. The garlic parm chips we very good. Overall, not my fav NY style deli in this area, but I will probably return to try some of the other menu items like the beef weck. Stumbled on Pastrami Tom's during a rare visit to Cary. Pleasant atmosphere, clean, friendly staff, and the food was quite good. My husband had the Cuban and pasta salad, both of which he enjoyed. I had the veggie burger, which was seasoned with something smokey that I liked, but also fell apart -- the classic weakness of the veggie burger! The potato salad was too eggy for me, but that's the risk with certain sides - they're either exactly the way you want it, or the opposite. Certainly not a fault of the restaurant. Our *only* issue with the place was that the owner was a bit too invested in his customers' happiness. He spent probably 20 minutes with another table venting about a bad review he had received online, which was a little offputting. read more

This was my first time going to Pastrami Tim's after seeing them on Instagram. They were very busy and for the most part the staff was friendly. I believe the owner was present and he spent alot of time meeting and greeting those who were dining in unfortunately he didn't have much interaction for those of us waiting for take out. Maybe that was due to them being busy. While they were busy the staff interacted with each o the very well, I had direct line of site and was within ear shot of the kitchen. I had the hot Italian sub with chips and a strawberry feta salad. The sandwich was really good with just the right amount of spice. The salad was much larger than expected and was very fresh. Sorry I inhaled it so no pics . I would go again for take out. The restaurant seating area is small and in a busy day a seat is difficult to find. Walked in and was promptly greeted. The cashier was very sweet and offered explanations on things and offered help. The options were great, very deli. The issue is the timing. I ordered to go, and I got my receipt at 1:37 and was handed my food at 2:14. It was a Saturday afternoon, but it was just one sandwich. They have major room for improvement in efficiencies in the kitchen. I know they've been open only a few weeks, so I will give them a few months before visiting again. Tom and his kids are a delight - friendly, patient. We came by Pastrami Tom's three time within the last week of our 2-week visit to NC; the sandwiches are that good! Unfortunately during our last visit, whoever carved the corned beef did NOT cut against the grain and it spoiled our enjoyment of eating the sandwich. Fighting to pull away strands of meat is not pleasant compared to biting away chunks that easily fall away and seem to melt in your mouth. The deli is bright, with seating available in and outside. First time in, and I already can't wait to go back. We've been searching for a replacement for our favorite sandwich shop ever since we moved from Florida six years ago, and I think we just found it. I ordered the half cold Italian with a side of the red skin potato salad, and my husband ordered the half Black Forest pastrami melt with a side of sweet potato fries. I was sure they had given me a full, but the half Italian was just that big. Same goes for the sides! The food was solid -- flavored and fresh. The staff were friendly and while the sandwiches may have taken a little bit longer than my hungry husband wanted, it was because the place was busy and the food, freshly made to order. What a find! We were traveling through the area and looking for lunch. Pastrami Tom's was rated high, so we thought we would give it a try. It did not disappoint! We ordered the Philly cheesesteak, the Rueben (Tom's way - smoked bacon jam), and the Baked Italian. The sandwiches were stuffed and full with flavor. We also loved the sweet potato fries. But, most importantly was the customer service we received. The young man that took our order navigated us through the menu with great recommendations. Two of us went there today for lunch for the first time. We shared a lobster roll with clam chowder and a Philly cheese with their homemade Rosemary Parmesan Chips. The food was fantastic! I'm not a huge chip lover but these were delicious. The Philly cheese was meaty and very cheesy and the lobster roll was fresh and tasty. A friend recommended I try out this new restaurant. I went there for a late lunch and had their really excellent Philly cheesesteak. The ribeye was flavorful and juicy. The roll was soft yet flaky. I had the rosemary chips which were good, but could've used some dipping sauce like blue cheese. I definitely will be back again. I guess if other people were going and invited me along I would try this place again, but only if we were eating there. I would not make mistake of trusting their online ordering system again. I mean, the staff was very nice about remaking my son's burger which came with ketchup and mayo when we get ordered it plain, and look like the receipt set ketchup and Mayo even though we know we said no to every topping, so you can't trust their ordering system. Again they were nice not making a new burger, but then we went home to eat our now cold food that had been waiting for us while we drove back to get a new burger. And I discovered that my now cold pastrami on rye with mustard was actually a cold pastrami and cheese on rye with mustard. I've never put cheese on a pastrami sandwich before and I never will again. It would be nice if we got what we ordered. Don't trust the ordering system, it got two out of four orders wrong. read more
