I was so excited to see Bomb Dilla outside of Fisher Brewery today! I've been following them for a while on social media and have been wanting to check them out forever. Luckily I hadn't eaten lunch yet and I got there right when they were about to open. They have a bunch of loaded quesadillas on their menu with a protein option of steak or chicken (or vegetarian) or if you don't want the tortilla, they can put your order over a bed of tater tots instead. They have some really unique options here, including their "Mac Daddy" which has mac & cheese, bacon crumbles, homemade ranch dressing, and shredded cheese. I got their West Coast vegetarian, and my partner got it with steak. It came with your choice of protein, bacon, tater tots, homemade ranch dressing, avocado sauce, and shredded cheese. Since mine was vegetarian it was the tots, cheese, and sauces. They're not joking when they say their quesadillas are loaded! My partner's was filled to the brim with the steak and bacon. The only thing we both wanted more of was cheese! Since mine didn't have any meat in it, it was cheese and tots and sauce, and I was really wishing there was more cheese in it. I was expecting a legendary cheese pull when I pulled it apart, but the cheese in these was lacking for me. I also was wanting some additional veggies or lettuce as well. This happens a lot which is one of the downfalls of being vegetarian, but when you order a quesadilla here the veggie option is the same price as the meat option. A bit of a bummer, but that's not unique this place, it happens everywhere. In the future I'll ask for extra cheese and maybe see if they can add some veggies in there for me. They're doing it right at Fisher! I'm not sure if they do this everywhere they go but they have a little buzzer they give you while you wait. My partner ordered the quesadillas, ordered a beer, and by the time his beer was poured, the quesadillas were ready. You leave the baskets inside when you're done and Fisher takes care of the clean up. read more

We visited this food truck when we were running errands in Roy and it was the highlight of my day! Their loaded quesadillas are so full of flavor and are very filling. My husband and I devoured our West Coast Quesadillas with chicken. My oldest daughter had the Cali Killa (with chicken) and my youngest had the Mac Daddy. Everyone loved their food and ate every last drop! We'll have to find this truck again so we can try the loaded tots! read more

This food truck is named one of the best in Salt Lake for a reason- it's dang good! We tried the Cali Killa and the Mac Daddy and both were crazy and pretty good! These people are geniuses for putting Mac and Cheese and Hot Cheetos in quesadillas. Obviously the Mac one is very carb heavy so the Cali Killa was my favorite of the two. I ordered tots. They came with no seasoning. I thought, no worries I'll add salt and pepper. I went up to grab some from the truck and there wasn't any. I asked for some. The first person said oh they should be out there. I said they are not. The next person looked and said they didn't have any. I said do you have any salt or pepper you could put in a container for me? the man seemed annoyed and stated " the answer is simply no." I just found it odd that a food truck possessed no salt and acted like I was in the wrong for asking for it. read more

am a person that is always traveling for work. I have been to many restaurants,fast food,lunch truck, etc.... In different states and cities. But hands down when it comes to food options this place won't disappoint. If you don't know what your looking for just close your eyes and throw a dart at the menu . Where ever it lands your will be completely satisfied. I just went with my family we each got a different plate and everything was delicious. We left nothing behind. So delicious we had to take some to go. Not to mention the customer service they give was top notch. They truly make you feel welcomed and like you are a member of there family. But my favorite plate was the special of the night. I had the loaded tots with birria and let me tell you . You will end up eating every last bit until your licking your fingers like a little kid eating chocolate cake. Trust me when I tell you if you have never tried this place. I wouldn't say no to one if they were being served while I was a guest, but I the next time they roll up in front of my work, I will pass. Even if that means going without lunch. The loaded tots are disgusting and overpriced. I asked the guy "what's better? The dilla or the tots?" He says tots. I'm pretty sure he's told to say that because the costs of ingredients are so much cheaper with the tots. From-frozen tots, gas station nacho cheese, dry/flavorless meat, boring/light sauce. VERY disappointing to have paid $11 for this travesty of frozen gas station food. I got the Crazy Korean, which comes with bulgogi steak, onion rings, teriyaki glad sauce, sour cream and cheese There was absolutely NOTHING "bulgogi" about the "steak". I've had better tasting steak from a lean cuisine. Also no teriyaki flavor to be found. I can only expect the quesadillas are much better, unless they use the same nasty nacho cheese in those, too. These are some unusual quesadillas but man are they good. I read another review that said the portion size could've been bigger which worried me because I'm a big eater, but the Cali Killa quesadilla that I got was monstrous! More than enough to fill me up. Love this food truck!! Owner is from the bountiful area and a really nice guy! We have been here twice in the last month and everything is amazeballs! I have tried the Cali killer and crazy Korean. Personally, I like the crazy korean better (extra sriracha!). While the Cali killer has flaming hot Cheetos, crazy korean has onion rings. Onion rings wins Cheetos every time. My food wasn't great.....they said they have a lot of vegetarian options but they really don't. They have no kind of meat substitute. When I got the munchie bowl I was expecting it to be a little more substantial but it was literally just cheese sauce on chips. I was super disappointed when I got home and opened the box. My boyfriend got the Mac Daddy and he loved it, but not enough to go back. It was $17 for the Mac daddy, my munch bowl, and two sodas so the price is reasonable but don't expect anything of substance if you're vegan or vegetarian. read more

Was out with my daughter and saw this truck. She was hungry so we figured we'd give it a shot. Wow, am I ever glad we stopped. The folks running the truck or super friendly. The food was amazing. If you had told me quesadilla could taste that good before i tried it i would have asked you to take a drug test, lol. Daughter had the buffalo chicken and i had the western beef. I stopped by the Roy roundup and decided to try this truck. Overall the chicken was pretty dry in my opinion. The sauce on the outside was tasty but it wasn't enough to combat the dry meat. I'm a little torn on this one. From a service standpoint (5), wonderful. From a food standpoint, (3.5) cuz I'm on the fence. The owner, originally from LA and had a restaurant there, moved here and started Bomb Dilla. He was friendly and the service was fast. He spent time with us and gave us a sample of Bulgogi Steak from his Crazy Korean quesadilla. This meat was flavorful and you will taste it's high quality to start with and not lower grade covered up with spices/marinades. We enjoyed tasting the Mac Daddy has mac & cheese, bacon crumbles, and topped with home made ranch dressing. We quickly clarified whether it was some Kraft Mac he was going to throw at us. He beautifully described his house made jalapeno cheese sauce added to al dente macaroni. The mac & cheese did not disappoint. The overall size of the quesadilla however was rather small. Flavors were good and maybe because they were so good I wanted more? They include a few tator tots on the side and they were perfectly golden brown and crisp. Super disappointed how long it took to get my food. I was told it would be done in 20 minutes. I totally don't mind if it takes a little longer, but please don't overpromise and underdeliver. Do the opposite, underpromise and overdeliver will go over a whole lot better. Taking 50 minutes to get my food is a far cry from 20 minutes. This is not an exaggeration. Ordered my food at 7:10pm and was finally done at 8pm. If the two guys taking the orders would just be more realistic and not a "salesman" I would be more understanding. Now the review on the food. First time trying the food here. Being honest, it was just ok. Not super impressed and won't purchase the food here again. Sorry guys, not a repeat customer for me. Went to try these for the first time tonight. Got there and there was a HUGE line. My wife and I both got the Cali Killa. Nothing short of BOMB! The food was well worth the wait. We drove up to Ogden from Salt Lake City and it was well worth it. We're definitely going when they're in SLC. read more
