The Grill Master Al Pastor has been in this parking lot for several years. Having just started commuting near the area, I am always looking for somewhere new to eat and was excited to try this food truck! I had some al pastor tacos (of course!) and a chicken taco. The al pastor was great with plenty of meat and a small salsa bar where you can add some of their homemade salsas to your order. There is even a small picnic table area if you prefer to just stay there and eat. Everything is fresh, made to order, and they are also very friendly. Definitely a great local option that will definitely hit the spot! read more

I found this place on Google and decided to try it. I had 2 Al Pastor big tacos (highlighted in picture attached) and a side of refried beans. It was all AMAZING!! The Big tacos were served with guacamole and a few slices of fresh pineapple. The combination was to die for. The Al Pastor says spicy pork but I asked the owner and he said it wasn't. I agree with him 100%. It has the most amazing flavor ever but is not spicy. It was served hot and extremely fresh. I sat there eating while across the street I could see MOD Pizza, Zupas and all the regular food places. I would highly recommend eating here! It is a food truck so adjust your expectations to the ambiance before you arrive. There are a couple of well used outdoor tables. You can always take it to go. Well. Looks like I'm getting an Al Pastor taco from this truck every time I stop at Chevron from now on. The sweet, savory, spicy combination is out of this world. Not my favorite place but not bad! Service is a bit slow when I went. I ordered the fish, Al pastor, and asada tacos. I was a bit disappointed as the menu says the Al pastor and asada tacos include guac but did not come with any. They did have a green salsa that went well with the tacos. Mouthwateringly delicious! My wife and I stopped for a bite to eat just before closing. The owner was very accommodating and delivered some of the best-tasting, freshest tacos I've ever enjoyed. My wife ordered a small al pastor taco. I ordered a large al pastor taco and a large carne asada taco. We agreed that it was probably the best al pastor we've ever had. There are a variety of free toppings including cabbage, onions, cilantro, peppers, and sauces available in a cooler. Holey Moley am I glad I went to this food truck. I'm in SLC for work and had to eat at a place I could walk to from my hotel. Found this place on Yelp and when I saw the reviews I knew I had to go. I ordered the fish burrito and a small Al Pastor taco. I wasn't planning on the taco but when I saw the skewer of meat I knew I had to get it. That taco was so tasty. Located on the corner by the freeway in woods cross in a gas station parking lot, you'll find this food truck delivering some of the best Mexican food I've had in the state. For those that come from out of state from Los Angeles, Vegas, or Phoenix, you will feel right at home. I've only been 2 times now, but I'm determined to try the rest of the menu as it's just that good. They took about 10 minutes at getting the food out, but the wait will not disappoint. The sweet salsa mixed with the spicy green salsa is one of my favorite combos ive had on a burrito. Wow. If you don't go here for tacos you are doing yourself a disservice. The meat is seasoned to perfection, the salsa is delightful, the tortillas and price is wonderful. This is my new go to spot. Really delicious taco truck. I just got the al pastor street tacos and they were fantastic! Fatty/chewy bit in each of my tacos, but I could tell that was going to happen from the look of the meat on the spinning roaster thing. Didn't scrimp on the pineapple either. Good prices too. read more

We are from AZ so we were terrified to try Mexican food here in Utah but if we are being completely honest this was better than most of the Mexican food in AZ. Classic "don't judge a book by its cover" experience. The rough and tumble look of the truck with its spray painted "TACOs" and loud generator may discourage some from stopping by, but for those who do take the chance, the tacos are amazing! Great Al Pastor! Carne Asada and the Shrimp in particular were really well seasoned. Don't tell everyone though. I don't want a long line next time I stop by. read more

The Grill Master food truck is my go-to spot every time I stop at the Chevron! I've been coming here for over three years, and I can honestly say the Al Pastor tacos are some of the best I've ever had. The Al Pastor with pineapple adds a perfect sweet and savory balance that keeps me coming back for more.
