Bombay pops up, is highly rated, and is just about a mile and a half away from where we were. We pull up, go in, and it's clean, cozy & bright. The servers are really kind. My friend's young daughter is trying to do vegan, and my friend has a tree nut allergy AND eats gluten-free, and they can accommodate ALL OF THAT! Yay! This is one of the best menus I've seen in the United States for Desi food, and true to Orlando style, they also have some "asian" dishes / cool combos of Chinese & Indian on the menu. I have never seen so many restaurants with two/hybrid/fusion menus as I have in Orlando! We got Hakka Noodles, Pani Puri, Masala Dosa, Palak Paneer & Chai. Pani Puri came assembled already and in a cute little wagon. Everything tasted amazing!! Tasted fresh-made with fresh ground spices & tasty ingredients. Full disclosure we have been to Bombay Street Kitchen before and it was as good as we remembered it. It's pretty spacious inside and lots of onsite parking. We were greeted quickly and our server was friendly and attentive. The food is an experience....full of vibrant color, fresh ingredients and tons of flavors. Bombay Street Kitchen is nestled away in a standalone location along South Orange Blossom Trail not far from The Florida Mall in Orlando. The consistently high ratings led me here for lunch and I was not disappointed. The interiors are tastefully modern and welcoming, with plenty of seating and pleasant decor. I started off with the mango lassi (4/5) which was delightfully refreshing without being too sweet. For meals, we went with the paneer makhani (4.5/5), chole bhature (5/5), vegetable malabari (5.5), and butter naan (4.5/5). All the meals were delicious and prepared using high quality ingredients, with no weak spots. I'd rank Bombay Street Kitchen among the top 2 Indian restaurants I've been to in the state (most Indian restaurants I've been to in Florida have been pretty underwhelming and average). I came back to Bombay Street Kitchen after over a year, and the food was great. We started with chili paneer and gobi Manchurian, both were crispy and tasty. For mains, we ordered paneer makhani and butter naan. It was ordered medium but could have been spicier, and the sauce was on the thinner side. Enjoyed dinner here after a long day at the Universal Studios theme parks. Nice, clean restaurant with a fun, colorful, ethnic ambiance. We were seated promptly, but service overall was lacking. Our waitress didn't say a single word to us the entire evening. She took our order silently, didn't try to engage with us or share recommendations. It was awkward. The food however was phenomenal! We ordered: - masala soda. This is a rare find. Loved the tangy and sweet flavor profile. Very unique. - Grilled Paneer Thecha. This is a dry paneer appetizer served in bite sized pieces. Super flavorful! I wish it was served with a green chutney or some sort of sauce - that would've completed it for me. - Chura Vada Pav - so delicious and authentic! Generous portion as well! We ordered so much stuff and they've all been really amazing. The highlight of all the appetizers we got was the kale chaat (mild). It was a very flavorful and unique. The nanns were also a win. They were nice and crispy. The dosa was soft and very mild I was really surprised by it. This was probably the lowest point of the meals. We also had chicken tikka masala and mango lassi, which was decent. Tip: if you like more spice ask for their sauce mix so you could add it to your dish and kick it up a notch. Or if it's too spicy, ask for tamarind sauce. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating. We had a slight mixup with the appetizer and they basically just gave that extra one for free for us. This extra dish was basically a different version of another appetizer we already ordered. Haha. The cooks work really fast. I think we were in and out in less than an hour for all this food. The place is very colorful and very neat. And now that I think about it, it doesn't smell too strongly of spice like other places that serve similar food. Take that as you will. This is my 3rd time visiting and the food is absolutely delicious. Very flavorful and cooked to perfection. We had the usual butter chicken with white rice, lamb chops, chicken dumplings and we tried these crispy potato crips. We ate everything and left no crumbs. Definitely our new favorite spot. The pani puri came with a sweet tamarind sauce and a spicier mint sauce. Both were super yummy! We followed up with the street dosa, which did not last long on the table lol! Bombay Street Kitchen is just around the corner from my home, and I have wanted to try it out! The restaurant was a lot more upscale than what I expected. The staff was so welcoming and got me seated right away. There are so many choices it's hard to decide, but I set my sights on curry chicken, garlic naan and basmati rice. Mango Lassi has all the flavors that I love, mango, yogurt and sweetness. The aroma of the garlic naan was intoxicating! The curry was a bit spicier than I had anticipated, but I was able to enjoy it. The rice was aromatic and cooked perfectly. It is a lot of food, so you can plan on having leftovers for lunch the next day! The decor of the restaurant is classy and made me think I should have changed after work! :). The prices are comparable to what a sit down meal runs. Just know that the food prices make running a restaurant costly! The food was so delicious! It was worth every penny. Easily one of the best Indian spots in Orlando. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. The space is colorful and lively, but still comfortable. It just has a great energy to it. The food was absolutely amazing. Every dish we tried was full of bold flavor and just the right amount of spice. We ordered a mix of street-style appetizers and classic curries, and everything was spot on. The samosas were crispy and packed with filling, the chicken tikka masala was rich and creamy, and the garlic naan was soft, fresh, and perfect for soaking up every last bit of sauce. The only improvement I feel would benefit this place would be stuffing their pani puri more consistently. Our server wasn't very attentive at the beginning and forgot a few of our orders, but once things got going, the experience picked up and everything came out fresh and delicious. Food was amazing here. It's genuinely the best Indian food place that I've ever tried. They definitely have a unique selection of food which isn't common. The biggest issue I had with the restaurant was the fact that there is little to no parking, and they don't have very many people taking orders. Orders are taken on a card machine which definitely slows things down, and we waited a lot of the time after eating for payment. We asked three times for to go boxes which we never ended up receiving. It took us about 2-3 hours to leave the restaurant after sitting down. Samosa chaat is one of my go-to's at Indian restaurants and this one did not disappoint. Extremely flavorful without being super heavy. The chole bhature was the size of a head. Excellent food, service, and wonderful place. We were slightly confused when we first pulled into the parking lot, since we were going Northbound on OBT- At first didn't realize the entrance was on the side of the building, instead of facing the busy road. Quickly amended! There's a few outdoor tables that were mostly shaded in the evening when we visited, but no one was outside. We were quickly greeted and seated upon entering, and as always in an ethnic food place, seeing those of the same nationality as the food always means it's going to be good- we were the only table not of the ethnicity when we walked in. Got the samasa chat to start while perusing the rest of the menu, and it was delicious. The sauce over the sliced samosa was well balanced, and the chickpeas and the samosas themselves were soft and well cooked. My partner got the tikka chicken, which came with a small side of plain rice, and I got the biryani chicken- we both ordered Mild since this was our first visit, and we wanted a starting point to gauge the spice levels before accidentally ordering too spicy and not enjoying the layers of spices as much. Perhaps a bit more rice for the tikka would have been nice, OR we should have ordered some naan, but this visit we did not- this would have been my only "negative" criticism of the entire meal. My biryani was plentiful, the flavor well steeped, and my partner could immediately tell that the spice blend for his tikka was ground in house because of the nuances that we could actually detect in some of the more delicate flavors. The chicken in both dishes was well cooked and still moist- not overcooked or hard, which just told me how made to order our food was, while still being very, very quickly brought to us. I stuck with water to drink and got a mango lassi that I enjoyed both throughout my dinner and as my after dinner "dessert." I took quite a bit of the biryani home to enjoy later, but that is NOT a compliant! The flavors got to continue to bloom overnight and it was just as delicious the next day, if not more so. Everything we ordered was amazing! We wanted to check out this michelin rated restaurant but they did not have any reservations available online. We decided to show up right when they opened at 5 pm for dinner and were seated right away. So happy they accommodated walk ins on top of reservations! We ordered the gun powder shrimp which was very crispy and seasoned nicely, the hara tikka chicken kebab (my husband loved it), gobi manchurian (my personal favorite and it had a soy sauce mixture instead of the usual ketchup based sauce but it was done wonderfully), street dosa (dosa with cabbage and paneer was a little spicy, wish the dosa was not as soggy and a little crispier), paneer makhani (excellent gravy) and butter naan. Overall, excellent food. I wish they staggered items a bit because everything came out at the same time so it was a bit overwhelming and there wasnt much space on the table to accommodate everything and our plates. Our first visit and we were very impressed with the tasty options. Our party of three shared vegetarian and meaty dishes and each was delicious. Not overly generous portions, but we did have leftovers to bring home. The place was clean and staff attentive. It quickly filled up after our 6:30 arrival of Thursday but the service did not suffer. I am a newbie to Indian fare but wanted to give this place a try knowing that they won a Bib Gourmand award. This place is clean and the food is DELICIOUS! We started with the garlic naan- it came out hot, and buttery. The Tikka Masala was packed with flavor in a rich tomato cream sauce and the chicken was so tender. The kiddos enjoyed the Hakka noodles. This is a good option if you are looking for a kid's meal because there is not a designated kids' menu. The Kale chaat is an app I recommend with crispy kale and a sweet yogurt chutney dressing. Service was great and the food came out quickly. You will not be disappointed. The texture and flavor combinations are out of this world, an ideal mix of spice with a touch of sweetness. My Keema Pav also delivered a perfect level of spicy, savory scrumptiousness. The service and food here were very good. I dined solo and sat at the bar. I was the only one at the bar, and there wasn't a bartender so I was concerned I may be forgotten. However, that did not happen. The place is a decent size,m with a nice welcoming atmosphere. It is great if you're with friends or alone. I ordered the vegetable samosa, DILLI KE TANDOORI CHICKEN, and a glass of prosecco. I wish the chicken was more moist. Good gracious my two sons ate it and licked the plate! Garlic naan is a winner always but the curries and biryani are just awesome! Portion sizes are good and I can't mention the staff enough. This place has been on my list of places to try for quite some time after hearing nothing but positive reviews. Restaurant is spacious and clean. We were seated right away. Servers were kind and attentive. Multiple people would come to clear plates off and refill our waters. Most of the tables were full (always a good sign). I'm not very well versed with Indian food so I got the tikka masala which was delicious. Plenty of naan with just one order. We also got the street special dosa..so good. Incredible! I've passed by this place many times driving down OBT but had no idea what was hiding in this bright blue building. They have a bar and plenty of tables with on theme decor throughout. The food was amazing. I got the pani puri for an appetizer and the flavors were there. I got shrimp for my main and ordered medium spice and it was SPICY.
