I am just going to start out by saying I am completely mad at myself for just now going here. I walked in and Jess was amazing. I told her that I had never been there before and she was more than happy to explain the menu to me and figure out what would be good for me! Tim Hortons screwed up my coffee so I stopped here on the way to campus. Really nice place with friendly service and an extensive selection. I ordered a caramel turtle coffee and it was good. I would have liked it a bit sweeter, but otherwise it was delicious. Also got an everything bagel which tasted good. It's pricing is on par with Starbucks, so expect to pay more than Tim Horribletons or Dunkin Dontgetmyorderright, but you get what you pay for. read more

Shakes are the way to go here, the Shoaff Shake being a classic from the days when Bon Bon's was called Higher Grounds and located across the street next to Kroger's. The Alaskan Zebra and the Going Apes shake are also quite popular. The flavor roasted coffee beans, which you can buy whole or ground and take home to brew, are a wonderful present. I have a family member who's very quality-conscious about coffee, and who is hooked on the Highlander Grog flavor, so I know exactly what to buy whenever gift-giving time rolls around. The prices are a tad high, especially for the coffee beans, but the quality is definitely there. Also, the staff seems a little hesitant in terms of working the register if you have anything like a coupon or a gift certificate. You can end up waiting a very long time while they poke through different menus and try to figure it out, which is annoying. Skip the baked goods. They're mostly frozen or premade anyway. For me, this isn't the type of coffee house I'd be happy to hang out in. It doesn't feel very comfortable or homey to me. A great place to hang out or study- it's a decent size space, and the other patrons were chatting quietly so the noise level was actually pretty low. They have all sorts of flavors and customization options, as well as a menu that shows more popular flavor combinations. I ordered a dulce de leche mocha, the drink of the week- it was fantastic, much better than Starbucks/other coffee chains. The barista who made me drink was super friendly and helpful- since it was my first time there, she informed me about their rewards program without being pushy, and was happy to let me take my time figuring out what to order. Mediocre americano. While on a visit to my home town I stopped by what I thought at the time was one of the best coffee house in the city. As it well my be but now, that's not saying much. Probably one of the most up to date coffee shops in terms of employment and drink selection in Fort Wayne! Not only do they have fun and unique drinks and employees to match, but they also have an amazing classic latte and mocha for those who aren't the most adventurous. Their various origin and flavored beans are what really put this coffee shop above the rest, however. The vast variety of coffee beans found at Bon Bon's alone is enough to put other shops to shame. With so many options, there is bound to be the perfect blend for almost every type of person. My personal favorite is the Cinnamon Toast flavored bean, which tastes like a perfect amalgamation of sweet cinnamon and the bitter coffee.
