    Gochujang chicken rice bowl
    Mila C.

it was 3 degrees out today & everywhere nearby was closed for lunch *except* the harvard food trucks! i decided to try bon me because it allowed me to order ahead from the warmth of the science center. i did a "build your own rice bowl" with gochujang chicken and picked jalapeños. not only was my food DELICIOUS, the portions were generous and the service was unbelievably quick and kind :) i didn't love the boba but overall i highly recommend - looking forward to ordering from them again.

After a long year not having any Bon Me, i got one today at harvard square. It's rice noodle with miso pulled pork and Vietnamese vinegratte. It was so good. I wish the weather could be a little warmer.

Not sure if it was the Harvard truck at the Salem Ma Food Truck Festival but a friend and I shared the "food truck fave" - pulled pork, brown rice, shredded carrots, mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, scallions with a light hot sauce. Very generous portion of rice, average portion of pulled pork, perfect spice (as we asked for a little less than indicated). - $9 We thought it was good but expected to be "wow'd" based on what I've heard. Very friendly service!

Tofu & shiitake mushroom banh mi

It's a sweltering 97 degree Fahrenheit day in the home of the Red Sox. Wowza! What do I see yonder? A food truck. Did I just say food truck? I mean a food truck without a line. Well it was 4:30 pm. There is more than meets the eye! It is a Banh Mi food truck! (Banh mi=Vietnamese sandwich with veggies on a French baguette.) Hallejujah! There is someone watching out for me. Being that I will be stuck on a train running five hours to the city, I might as well buy something to sustain myself on the way over. There were two friendly ladies ready to hear what we were considering to eat when we got there. One kindly asked my hubby "how could I help you today?" My husband orders the tofu and shiitake mushroom banh mi which was heavenly. It was spicy, but not incredibly so, just enough to burn slightly to have an implicit understanding that a pepper was sacrificed in the making of this delicious meal. I also noticed they had fresh ingredients: cilantro, pickled julienne carrots, and also pickled white carrot. It was just a blend of sweet, tart, and savory. My favorite part was when the lady making my sandwich asked if I was a vegetarian. I said, "no way, I believe in meat and more meat please and that today was an off day being that we just wanted to try a sandwich with tofu for to balance out our smorgasbord earlier." She told me that "it's cool, so now she can put pate in it as a condiment." Her feeling was that pate would make it even better. In attempt to make my sandwich better, I could not say no to that thoughtful and polite request. And, of course, after the first bite, I felt the effects of my non-vegetarian tofu sandwich in glee. I would definitely come back and bring my friends to eat more banh mi. I also ordered an iced cold Vietnamese espresso. To make it sweet, they used condensed milk, which I absolutely adore!

Loved it! Got the namesake banh mi. It was surprisingly flavorful. The sauce in it was really good, and there was a good amount of meat and veggies in it. I want to come back and try a bowl next time.

I've been to Bon Me twice in the last three days, and it's definitely delicious! The menu is well marked about gluten and other allergies! Super helpful. The workers are very cognizant of ingredients. Super convenient, great rice noodles. I go with the salt and pepper chicken, and whichever sauce the worker at the time recommends. This should really be a 4.5 review. Only lost half a star for price - around 9 or 10 bucks for a quick meal in Harvard Square, but the portions aren't huge. But the convenience and tastiness make up for it! The packaging is very cute, too. Would totally recommend, and I'll be back!

Miso pulled pork Vietnamese sandwich & Chinese broccoli greens.

They take CC and the service was quick. I did enjoy my sandwich & greens very much, and I could see myself eating from this food truck several times a week, especially if I tried a variety of their offerings, but was this experience the epitome of food truck cuisine, I don't think so. The greens were ok, nothing to get excited about. My miso pulled pork sandwich could have used some bean sprouts or cucumber, something to give it some crunch, another texture sensation. Maybe some sliced (mild or hot) jalapeños for an added kick. Miso I think is a subtle flavor to use in this type of pork sandwich, since the typical Chinese bbq pork is very flavorful, often sweet and full of texture. I will definitely be trying out some of the previously recommended salads, etc.

I decided to check out this food truck while in Quincy Square. I hot a rice bowl with salt & pepper chicken and sesame sauce. It was delicious! Just the right balance of meat, rice and veggies. I like spicy food and it did not disappoint. The man who took my order was friendly, too.

Bon Me reinvents traditional Vietnamese food. I was pleasantly surprised by the peppercorn cilantro chicken sandwich. The spicy mayo and flavors of the chicken (they use dark meat) blend well with the pickled vegetables. It's a good twist to the traditional banh mi sandwich. If you're looking for a refreshing drink and you like basil, try the basil limeade. I'll definitely stop by the truck again for another sandwich! peppercorn cilantro chicken: $6 basil limeade: $2.50

Oh Bon me, you sure know how to keep a gal coming back for more. I'm literally half way through my miso braised pulled pork sandwich wishing you had the three cups chicken or scallion and ginger chicken available so I can eat a second sandwich. I was expecting their Vietnamese coffee to be the typical really sweet milked down version, but boy, your coffee is on point! Perfect balance of bitter coffee and sweetness. Customer service was very friendly and helpful.

Would come back just for this cruller, and am willing to try their other items now that I know what they're capable of. ------ FOOD: 1. [MUST TRY] MAPLE CRULLER (5/5) As good as everyone says it is. The exterior is so satisfyingly crispy, but the interior has the exact right soft, eggy consistency that defines the cruller. The maple glaze is definitely very sweet, but somehow it actually works well with the fried dough such that it's not overpowering. Maple is their most popular flavor, but they also have other flavors and monthly specials to try. 2. DRIP COFFEE Perfectly fine drip coffee. The mugs they give you are smaller than their to-go cups, so probably opt for your coffee to-go, especially if you plan to go on a little stroll after accidentally eating 6 crullers for breakfast... ------ ENVIRONMENT / AMBIANCE: * A large, spacious cafe that had a NY, tiled environment mixed with a more laidback Tatte vibe * More seating inside than I thought there would be (though a mix of individual tables, a communal high top, counter seats by the window, and tables outside) * One design issue though is that the ordering counter is right at the front door, meaning there's actually very little space for the line and so on bad weather days, you might be caught waiting outdoors under the elements vs. indoors. I'm sure there are some days where the line naturally forms inside, but the way the space is designed does not make that easy
