    King crab, potato and corn
    CAROLYN B.

This review is about the all you can eat king crab special. I love king crabs so we've been going once a week for a few months. Sometimes the crabs are great and sometimes they're not. They seem to have different seasonings every time we go. We went last night and it was very very salty. The service is always good. They no longer have the buffet. They do have a menu with other options.

UPDATE I went for lunch today and Oh My has this place gone down in quality and service. I'm not sure what has happened but the food wasn't good and nothing was fresh. The service was horrible, I waited over 10 minutes for my waitress to surface then another 5 minutes for her to bring my iced tea. She was truly the worst waitress ever after she brought my tea I never saw her again the whole time I was there, good thing you pay before you eat or I'd still be waiting on here to get the ticket. The fried chicken was hard, dry and over cooked the fish was nasty and soggy and the gravy was crusty, the Chinese food looked like it'd been there for a week. The gelato section was basically empty it usually has 12 to 15 flavors today 2, yep only 2 the rest of the case was bare. So many things were wrong it's gotta be bad management. It'll be a long time before I eat there again. I've had lunch here a few times and the food is good and they have a great selection on the buffet. Today there was boiled gulf blue crabs and boiled shrimp and every salad item you can think of. There's no way I'm gonna be able to remember everything on this $17 lunch buffet buhere goes what else I can remember. Fried chicken, fried catfish, baked chicken, chicken fajita, baked Ham, sweet n sour chicken, turkey wings with rice n gravy, hush puppies, cornbread muffins, greens, black eyed peas, gumbo, Mac n cheese, fresh baked sweet potatoes, candied yams, fried rice, pot stickers, egg rolls, they also had a pasta bar with 4 different pasta dishes, Italian sausage n peppers. They also have a huge dessert bar as well as a large gelato selection

One of the best casino buffets in the area. We usually go on seafood nights (Friday's). The price is getting a little steep (36 a person) if you don't use rewards from the casino but in all worth it for the amount and variety of food you get. The snow crab are usually very good until they start running out. Then they become hard to peel bc they were cooked so fast. The serve cold boiled shrimp which is not that impressive. When crawfish come out on the buffet they are usually really spicy and mostly cooked just right. There's a little bit of something for everyone. They servers are usually pretty nice even when busy. Bread pudding on the desert bar is yummy. Would recommend this buffet to anybody looking for seafood and a little something other than seafood.

I went to the L'Auberge Casino just to try their morning buffet. It cost around $33 for me and my mother to eat there. Behind the buffet the cooks will cook you fresh pancakes, waffles , French toast, and either an omelet or an egg white omelet. On the buffet itself you can get fruit, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, grits, toast, potatoes..etc. There was nothing on the buffet that made me go "wow, this is worth $15". So I believe the buffet is a little overpriced considering you can pretty much get the same food at golden corral for cheaper. After leaving the buffet I did put $10 in a slot machine and I ended up winning $20. So that made my experience a little better.

Not all that impressed with this place. Showed up and the price was nearly $40 which seemed slightly steep. The crab was the only decent thing there. Other than that all the food was stale and old. Nothing was that great. If it weren't for the halfway decent crab this would be a one star. Additionally the table was not very clean and the silverware had a weird smell to it. Wish it was better.

I've gone to the Bon Temps buffet plenty of times as my in-laws enjoy a pastime of gambling and my biggest issue with this establishment is non-consistency. I've been when the food has been cooked perfectly and seasoned well and a real treat and I've also been when the food had no flavor and was over-cooked or dry. It's not a good visit when the best thing I had was the broccoli. My baked chicken was very dry and had no seasoning. My grilled pork chop was undercooked and also unseasoned. The green beans were uncomfortably salty. However, my waitress Sonja-Lieu was undoubtedly the BEST server I've ever had while dining there! The inconsistency of the experiences I've had will not keep me from coming again, but I wouldn't recommend paying the full price. If you get a coupon or comped then, it's worth it. Otherwise, go somewhere else for food.

    Mimosas!!

I've read the reviews on this place. Let me first start off by saying I've eaten here three times and ALL of them were the Sunday Brunch. So my review is based solely off the Sunday Brunch. The food: AWESOME!! Truly Louisiana home style cooking. There's hardly ever any dishes that I don't like. The fried catfish, fried shrimp, baked fish, shrimp bisque, red beans, grits, beignets, roast, fried chicken, ettoufee, baked potatoes, green beans, corn and shrimp bisque, omelette, etc. the only dish that was not up to par on this visit was the gumbo. Very runny and not enough of the right flavor. Service was good keeping our bottomless mimosas full. So definitely try this restaurant for Sunday Brunch and bring your eating A game!!

Boyfriend had our server surprise me with these cute and tasty cupcakes! They sang happy birthday also.

The sushi buffet area was consistently filled, but I don't recommend the nigiri sushi. The fish was very Dry as you might have heard, which should NEVER be the case for raw sushi! Especially nigiri sushi! Terrible texture in the mouth... I'm surprised I didn't get food poisoning. the sushi cones were pretty good, the flavor definitely made a good impression. The fried rolls were great too, jam packed with flavor. Not bad for a fried food. The sashimi was excellent with a good texture and color. Yeah, I don't know why the fish was so dry on the actual sushi... The only other problem with the place was their hibachi option... The hibachi options were okay. The whole way it works is you would pick ingredients from metal tins and give the hibachi chef your plate. you could grab several veggies, starches, and seafood from the bowl tins, and plenty of meats. The noodles were just about the only thing that I thoroughly enjoyed; the steak was overcooked and too tough to have any flavor. The big turn off for me is that the hibachi chef was in the back corner on his phone half of the time the food was cooking. The only reason he actually paid attention to the food that was just sitting there being roasted on a (if I may mention that the grill that the food was cooking on was uneven and obviously hadn't been cleaned in easily a couple days) griddle was to flip it and yet again, leave it unattended. Not the hibachi experience I've been looking for. Bottom line: good fried sushi and sashimi! Cones were good, noodles slapped. AVOID THE NIGIRI SUSHI.

The 2021 visit food was below average and service wasn't much to speak of. I live nearby and have been wanting to visit here and try the lunch buffet. I was not disappointed at all. I don't think I've eaten at a Chinese lunch buffet in the BR area that I really enjoyed. I brought my son and he is picky and he enjoyed just about everything he tried. We sampled a good variety. Side note: I've eaten at the other place at Sherwood & Coursey, just around the corner and my visit was once with no desire to return. Food: A really good variety to choose from on the buffet. They buffet is from 11am - 4pm, it's not an all day buffet. The variety they have is definitely quality over quantity. Very impressed with price of $12.99 and the quality of food. Egg roll was good, House Made Roll was excellent! The crab Rangoon was not lacking, it had ample amount of cream cheese, no skimping there. Honey Chicken was good, Sesame Chicken was excellent, had a little spice to the sweetness too. Hunan pork was excellent, beef and broccoli was the only item that was average to me. Sweet & sour chicken, friend rice, lo mein, was very good. No General Tso's or Mandarin Chicken on the buffet. Unsure if they take any requests for specific items to be placed on buffet. Service: I believe the owner was the one that greeted us and sat us at our table. Very nice, attentive, and had good small talk about FIFA World Cup. He immediately took our drink order and drinks were at our table before we returned. Ambiance: Place had a decemt ambiance to it. Very clean. I do remember the old Hunan's ambiance was cool because of the old celebrity photos on the wall that had a good amount of LSU stars. This definitely doesn't have that, but I wish it did resemble some of that, maybe one day it will. The important aspect is the great quality of the food, because I definitely wasn't there for the decor. To my surprise this place wasn't jam packed. I was nervous when I walked in because not many patrons inside, but when we left there was about 5 more tables filled. This place should be more packed.

Overall, I'd recommend Hunan if you're in the mood for a fair priced delicious AYCE Chinese buffet!

Then I remembered this Indian restaurant that I tried before, even though my husband has not. I visited this place back when it was still smaller and had not expanded yet. I still remember the food being delicious so I was really excited to come back. We went around lunch time and it was not too busy. We decided to do the buffet since I knew they added it after the expansion, but I never got a chance to return until now. The buffet was 19.99 per person. I am not sure if that was a holiday price or the regular price. The food was amazing and full of flavor. I really enjoyed the mushroom masala and the butter chicken. Their goat curry was also very good, the meat did not have any strange taste or smell. I do not usually like goat so I was hesitant, but this one surprised me and I actually liked it. The service was super nice and attentive. The server noticed we did not have naan because they were out at the moment, and when the fresh batch came out he brought it to our table right away. He talked to every table and made sure everyone was doing good, and he also listened to feedback. Everything was great, but me and my husband both felt that having a few more food options would make the buffet even better. The selection was still on the smaller side, although I do understand Indian food can be more expensive and time consuming to prepare. I do wish they had samosas and garlic naan. The regular naan is good but garlic naan always hits different. If you do not want buffet you can also order plates instead. After about thirty minutes I noticed a lot more people started coming in, which means this place is well loved and popular. Overall it was a good experience. The price is a little high for the amount of selection, but the food quality is top tier so it still feels worth dining in. We would definitely come back again

The location is easy to access, and the staff was friendly, which always sets a welcoming tone when you walk in. As for the food, it was just okay -- not bad, but definitely room for improvement. The price was about average for buffet dining, which makes it a decent stop if you're not trying to break the bank. However, there were some clear downsides. The food selection felt smaller compared to other Golden Corral locations, which was a bit disappointing if you're expecting that "endless options" vibe. Some dishes were overly salty, and one major red flag -- dirty plates. Cleanliness matters a lot, especially at a buffet, and this definitely took away from the overall experience. Overall, this Baton Rouge Golden Corral lands at 3 out of 5 stars. It's convenient and friendly, but it needs more attention to food variety, seasoning balance, and cleanliness to truly stand out. 13606 Millerville Greens Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70816 (225) 960-1135 Check us out Tik tok @we_stayed_there, online: www.westayedthere.com, YouTube @westayedthere
