Cauliflower Steak Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries - well seasoned thick slice of Cauliflower breaded and fried with sweet potato fries.

Loved the food! So tasty and everything was great. The beer list was huge, but we did not partake. The vibe of the restaurant was very sports bar/beer cavern meets seafood fine dining. Odd vibe but fun atmosphere. The server was kind and the bussers did a great job with fast clean table turn around. Overall it was a good stop on a Saturday for lunch - definitely reccommend!

I ordered the blackened chicken pasta and it was a bit bland. I've been here before and the food was good, I understand people have off nights, but I wanted to send it back. I didn't because it was way too busy and I knew I'd have to wait. The service was awesome, especially on a busy night. The vibes of the restaurant gave Cajun feels. I enjoy this place and come everytime I'm in BR.

Came here for dinner with a friend! Place was pretty packed for a weekend dinner but we got a booth. I ordered the T bird burger and got an apple cider. They have an extensive list of beer, cider, and drafts. The burger was actually really delicious and had a lot of flavor to it including avocado and bacon! The fries were plentiful too, could've used more seasoning though.

Service & food were excellent. This place has stood the test of time for great food and drinks. Their diablo margarita is truly special.

Chimes East was recommended to me by a Baton Rouge native and I'm so glad I trusted their judgement! We had the Seared Crab Claws as an appetizer and they were so flavorful and delicious. I had the Blackened Grill Chicken for my entree with a a side of Chicken & Sausage Jambalaya. The grilled chicken was seasoned to PERFECTION and the jambalaya was sooooo GOOD!!!!! Dip the baguette in the crab claw juice and it elevated it to a whole new level. Everything was so amazing. It's extremely rare for me to be dreaming about leftovers but I can't wait to finish off my chicken and jambalaya at the hotel later. Although the restaurant was busy around 2 PM on a Saturday, there was no wait for a table and we were seated upstairs immediately upon arrival. Our server was polite and friendly, offering great service. The ambience was casual and laid back which I appreciate after a long morning of flying into NOLA and making the drive to Baton Rouge. I can't wait to find another reason to be back in BR just so I can dine here again. Overall 9.5/10!

Out of the few times I've been here and loved it I forgot to write a review. I'll admit the first time I came to chimes i didn't like it and swore to not come back but I was convinced other wise. I often crave the seafood gumbo. I don't know what it is but it's good af and seasoned well. I love the buttered roll that comes with it. The blackened alligator it's also good the sauce I. Ant remember what it is right now but I like that they give you more than you might need. My favorite drink there right now is the swamp bucket. It's a premixed drink. I'm not sure what's in it but get it. My favorite menu item right now is the Char boiled Catfish. The catfish is cooked perfectly and I think it almost might be blackened. I get all broccoli instead of the mixed vegetables. The sautéed spinach is underneath the fish which is also tasty. I've also tried the catfish perdue seasoned well and the etoufee is the perfect consistency. I've always thought that oysters were gross and maybe raw they might be but the char grilled oysters I tried here were loaded with bacon, cheese and jalapeños best thing I've tasted. I just ate them too fast to remember to take a picture. The side or house salads are the only thing I have a complaint I still have lots to try at this establishment I can't wait.

We came here for a friends birthday dinner & it was super busy BUT the staff was very friendly. Our server -Wednesday was nice & answered any questions we had about the menu. The atmosphere gave a mix of family friendly & relaxation with some dim lit areas at the bar. I only had the snickers cheesecake which was decadent. My friends had various cocktails & meals that looked delicious!

I bring a work crew here once a year for a business luncheon when we are in Baton Rouge for work. The service is consistently good and the food is always on point. Short wait time to boot. What else could you ask for?

The hostess could be friendlier with a smile but the waiter was super friendly so we felt welcome! The food was delicious and the portions were big! The service was wonderful. I deducted a star because the place needs a deep cleaning and a little sprucing up! Overall, we had a good time and a great lunch! Yes, I recommend this place

We were in Baton Rouge for a day, and when we asked some locals where we needed to eat this is where everyone said we needed to be. We wanted to experience the food the people there said was good. Cajun, Baton Rouge - something we couldn't have back home in Texas. Chimes it was. The menu is vast. There are so many options to choose from and the specialities were fried, grilled or blackened. The lady at the counter suggested fried. We paid and our food was hot and out by about 20 minutes. Fried gator: I have never had alligator before. The consistency of the meat was in between chicken and shrimp... had a chewy texture. Almost sweet, but not too overwhelming in any way. It really took on the flavor of the fried batter. It was good. Fried shrimp: jumbo shrimp succulent and crispy. Oh my gosh. Just delicious. Now the hush puppies were a little dark for my liking, a bit heavy... but to each his own. Shrimp BBQ Poboy: my husband ordered this and it was gone before I could check for it. He liked it, I can't say what it tasted like. We would sure be back any time we are in Baton Rouge.

I had the worse experience I ever had at chimes.....I ordered the chicken fried chicken and the inside was not cooked well. I ate some before I realized it was partially raw meat hopefully u don't get sick.

Ordered to go chimes today for lunch and as always really good! It was extremely quick and was delivered at the earliest time it said possible. Only complaint is that the shrimp and corn soup taste fishy or very shrimpy. The spinach and artichoke dip is the best as always! I got the hard fried bowtie pasta, and it was delicious.

I had no idea. Corks was owned by the same people. One of my friends who works at Coy-Yon's in West Baton Rouge told me that I could still get that potato pretty easily on Government Street. I guess this is basically the same thing as our restaurant in Port Alan instead of barbecue, they specialize in fish and shrimp. I did get shrimp as my protein for the potato and it was delicious Definitely go, give it a shot. The server was very nice and friendly. Parking very simple. Interiors mostly white. They've got some art on the wall, looks like it's done locally. Most mostly of their other restaurant. If I had to complain and be picky, I would say take that Christmas tree down. I always find the tacky when restaurants or businesses leave their Christmas tree up all year. It's never the flex they think it is. But who cares. The food is good.

You can literally pick your out fish and have them cook it right there. Like how fresher can it get?? I chose the Louisiana Red Snapper since it's one of my favorite fish to eat. I had to go crazy with it: * Fried Seafood Sampler: Fresh-cut US catfish, jumbo shrimp, and Louisiana oysters. That catfish?? It's easily the meatiest I've ever had; crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. * Louisiana Red Snapper this was my "foodie victim" but man, it was super tender, light crisp, just melts when you bite into it. Lowkey, it's one those hole-in-the-wall spots you don't expect to hit like this but it does, on a whole another level. I'll definitely be back.
