I came back in town for Thanksgiving and while we were running errands we got hungry and wanted to try something new. Then I remembered this Indian restaurant that I tried before, even though my husband has not. I visited this place back when it was still smaller and had not expanded yet. I still remember the food being delicious so I was really excited to come back. We went around lunch time and it was not too busy. We decided to do the buffet since I knew they added it after the expansion, but I never got a chance to return until now. The buffet was 19.99 per person. I am not sure if that was a holiday price or the regular price. The food was amazing and full of flavor. I really enjoyed the mushroom masala and the butter chicken. Their goat curry was also very good, the meat did not have any strange taste or smell. I do not usually like goat so I was hesitant, but this one surprised me and I actually liked it. The service was super nice and attentive. The server noticed we did not have naan because they were out at the moment, and when the fresh batch came out he brought it to our table right away. He talked to every table and made sure everyone was doing good, and he also listened to feedback. Everything was great, but me and my husband both felt that having a few more food options would make the buffet even better. The selection was still on the smaller side, although I do understand Indian food can be more expensive and time consuming to prepare. I do wish they had samosas and garlic naan. The regular naan is good but garlic naan always hits different. If you do not want buffet you can also order plates instead. After about thirty minutes I noticed a lot more people started coming in, which means this place is well loved and popular. Overall it was a good experience. The price is a little high for the amount of selection, but the food quality is top tier so it still feels worth dining in. We would definitely come back again read more

We really, really like Al-Noor! Despite its inauspicious location, Al-Noor does a wonderful job of preparing tasty and filling Indian cuisine. We've been there there or four times now, and each time we generally pick two vegetarian curries (we're not vegetarians, but their veggie dishes are that tasty!) and some naan. Unless we're cavernously hungry, we'll have enough leftovers for lunch the next day. The service is incredibly friendly and prompt, and we always leave feeling like we had a great meal--and at a very reasonable price point. read more

Everything about Al-Noor is 5 ! We ordered takeout this time, and it was delicious as usual! The food is so full of flavor and fresh! It's ready about 15-20 minutes after you order depending on what you order because different preparations and cooking procedures take different amounts of time. And, the staff is incredibly nice! And, my husband and I ate on our order for 3 days! So, the value is definitely there. We are fairly new to Indian cuisine, so we try something new every time. My husband likes spicy, but I have to stick to the milder dishes. My best trick to help me with the spicier foods is the warm, fluffy naan bread. Go get some for yourself! read more

First time eating here. I had to ask the waitress how long they'd been at this location and she said about 2 years which surprised me I had not noticed it before. Granted, I don't live on this side of town in Baton Rouge, but it's literally RIGHT next door to Spectacular Tubers which I go to every couple of months, so I don't know why I didn't notice it before. I think what caught my eye this time around was that they have a sign hanging from the overhang pointing out that they have a lunch buffet. I'm not fully fluent in all Indian dishes although I love curry, so I opted for the lunch buffet. FYI they do not have a buffet for dinner. The price for today (Friday) was $22.95 - same price for Saturday and Sunday lunch buffet. The waitress explained that the buffet Tuesday through Thursday is $19.99 and that they don't have shrimp on the buffet for those days. They are closed on Monday. I love Indian spices and I am always trying to fit more vegetables into my diet. This buffet was awesome for vegetarians or people trying to get real vegetables because they had five different dishes that were all veggies: cauliflower with potatoes, a spinach dish, a zucchini dish, a mushroom dish, and an eggplant dish. Today on the protein side they had fried fish, butterflied fried shrimp, and three different types of chicken. They do also offer a menu for a la carte ordering if you know what you like and want to pipping hot from the kitchen - or just hope to have leftovers to take home. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, and service was excellent. This is a low key almost diner type atmosphere in so far as the table set up. The restaurant was exceptionally clean, so we're the bathrooms. My only complaint, and this is a common one for all buffets in general, is that some of the dishes were not as hot as I'd like. Nothing was cold, but some were just warm. I forgot to take a picture of the other table where they had one bowl of lettuce / salad fixings, another bowl with some sliced watermelon. They also had a chilled buffet server with mango custard & sliced fresh tropical fruit on top as a dessert for the buffet. The waitress explained that the items on the buffet do change, so if you're looking for something in particular and didn't want to order a la carte, I suggest you phone the restaurant before you head out there wait to see what's actually on the buffet that day. I will certainly be doing that hoping to catch them when they have curry on the buffet line. If you are vegetarian, well spiced food, or just Indian food in general - I highly recommend that you try this restaurant and give them some business. read more

I liked everything I ordered with the exception of the strawberry lassie drink, next time I'll just get ice tea . The food wasn't overly spicy but you can order it extra spicy if you want. I had butter chicken and saag paneer which is Spinach with homemade cheese cubes both were delicious and I chose the garlic naan bread which had a lot of flavor. This was so yummy. I love Indian Food. I started with chai tea. Each cup is its own price - no refills. Then I got the gobi Manchurian. This is cauliflower in a sauce that's really good. It also heats up well in an air fryer. Then I got the Mushroom Masala. It was so good. Indian flavors similar to dishes I had in London, England. This is my 3rd visit in 1 week. The Tandoori Chicken is fall off bone delicious. Saag Paneer outlandishly flavorful. I generally love Chicken Tikka Marsala, but this was weakest of all their dishes. It was good, but sauce is a little thin. Rice has Saffron flavor and is very good. Started the meal with a pipping hot masala chi, nothing better on a cold mourning which was one of the best chai tea that I've had in a long time. I chose their veggie box and it was delicious. Two veggies entree first was chick pea cooked in a wonderful sauce but the other a mushroom dish that was absolutely delicious. The plate came with an onion pickled slaw , rice and naan .
