I will go to Ft. Myers again, just to visit Silva's Oh man! it can't get better than this. During a last minute trip to Ft. Meyer's, we decided to take a local route to drive to Miami. A quick search on Yelp, and this bakery came up as the most recommended for breakfast. We arrived very early, it was 9AM on a Sunday and they had just opened. The place is in a small strip mall and has a couple of chairs outside as well. Inside it is pretty small, but you can immediately smell only good stuff of coffee, empanadas and other baked goods. We were hungry so ordered some beef and chicken empanadas , and guava patty's and instantly we were hooked. The food is so tasteful, seems so fresh and was much more impressive than other empanadas I have tried elsewhere. I went back in and ordered several more empanadas for our trip and even wanted to ship some back home, before my daughter asked me to settle down a bit. I am going to leave this review for accountability. First the positive: My latte was tasty and the cheese bread was veeeery good! The not so positive: The staff was not too friendly. The barista had a face that he was ready to go home and did not enjoy his job. It was 8:30 AM. Then my wife's Americano tasted pretty bad and they didn't even give her the courtesy of exchanging it and they made her pay for a second coffee. This for me destroyed any good feelings about this place. Customer service and experience definitely needs improvement. Please do better! They were out of vanilla and caramel flavoring. I ordered hazelnut, and was charged for it, but I don't think he ever even put any in the iced coffee. Came here based on great reviews. Cute little shop. Friendly/helpful staff. Didn't love the empanada, didn't think it had that much flavor; same with the sauce that came with it, but my husband really enjoyed his latte. Would like to try some of the other pastries as they looked really good. WOW! I was searching for a local coffee shop this morning and Silvia's was at the top of the list with an outstanding rating. Arriving at 8am they were greeting customers and quickly took my order. With a cappuccino and a ham/bacon/cheese cachito, I grabbed a stool inside. I wasn't familiar with the cachito, but a quick search it's a Venezuelan food similar to the croissant. This was my first visit here, finding it on yelp was a miracle and I'm so happy I did. I was getting my vehicle serviced down the road and drove the loaner car here after a quick search for Coffee. I was surprised to find not only Coffee but an amazing bakery. This place is a very small but extremely clean location The staff was freaking amazing to say the least not only did they help me choose what I wanted. But they gave us a small roll to sample because we've never been there before. The food was phenomenal, I should have bought several rolls and even a pastry or two to bring home because it is an hour drive from Port Charlotte to Naples but I would come back in a heartbeat if I was anywhere near this location , I highly recommend you come here if you've never been here it is small but worth it. Last Friday, 15 minutes before closing. We wanted an espresso and a pastry. The guy said he could not make the espresso because it was too close to closing. A minute later another customer requested an espresso and he started making it for her. When I asked why her and not us, he said it was because she is a "regular" customer! The bakery is small but cozy and the team is super welcoming, they answered all of my questions. I came on a Sunday morning and most of their case had been shopped, but they were still baking goods. I got their chicken and beef empanadas, and boy was it packed with protein. Went in on the off chance they had Portuguese muffins (sadly, no) but left with two of their cachitos and a coffee. Both were outstanding.
