Both of us got the daily specials
    Hannah J.

Went for lunch today, and got the daily sandwich which was a bbq sandwich, and it was delicious! You order at the counter and then they text you to let you know it's almost ready and then they call your name out. Strawberry lemonade was perfect! They also have a little shop attached called The Blueberry Patch and we shopped around in there and found a few things we liked before grabbing lunch. The restaurant side is small but roomie, staff was helpful on both sides. Lovely place!

Delicious coffee and a cute setting with outdoor tables as well as indoor seating. Sandwiches and baked items looked delicious although I did not try any today.

    Farmer's Market

Sloppy BLT is "the best breakfast sandwich" my husband has ever had!!! Overnight oats were creamy, plentiful & delicious with fresh berries and seeds. Blueberry Patch gift shop opening into restaurant was also warm, welcoming & worth the trip. Farmer's Market on Saturday morning offers fresh breads, pastries, fruits & veggies, flowers, honey, & local artist flare! Worth a visit!!

I love this gem in Lake Placid. The staff is always friendly and even when busy, the service is fast and you can still find a spot. I enjoy the outdoor patio to watch the butterflies and people. The food is always consistent and I enjoy the availability of healthy options. The avocado toast and frittata with potatoes are my favorites. The avocado toast is always crisp and not soggy, the dill adds a nice freshness to the dish. The coffee drinks are solid, my cold brew on my most recent visit was perfect! Definitely recommend!

    Chicken Bruschetta Sandwich

My husband was adamant about me coming to this little town with him & I'm so glad I came. It's not very big but extremely adorable. I saw the sign for Morty & Edna's craft kitchen & had to try it. You order at the counter & the guy was extremely nice. I had the BLT with avocado & it was so good. My husband had the sandwich special bruschetta chicken...delicious. I also had the Apple Pie Cider by Cigar City & it was like drinking an apple pie yummm. We will definitely be back.

    Sloppy BLT with egg

We go for their Sloppy BLT with egg. The flavors are delicious and go well together. We get the yolk runny so we can sop it up with the delicious bread! Their prices have gone up, which is unfortunate, but this sandwich is still worth it and it's a big sandwich.

This California lady approves their BLT Literally the best thick candied bacon I've had in years!! Not to leave out the perfectly grilled sourdough. The staff was pleasant and the ambiance is inviting. This is a revisit for sure

I came to play bingo and the food was so delicious! The service here was excellent and the such a comfy ambience!

And in Sebring, that means you walk into the cool Irish pub on the circle and soak it all in. The interior alone makes it worth the visit. Dark wood, warm lighting, that cozy tucked-away pub feel that makes you forget you are in the middle of Florida. It feels transported. It is one of those places in Sebring that you just have to see because it is so unexpectedly cool inside. Service was great. I was there for a quick in and out, so I sat at the bar and kept it simple with a chicken Caesar salad. Nothing fancy. For the price, it was very fair, and the flavor held up. No complaints. It did exactly what it needed to do, which was give me a solid meal in a comfortable setting without overcomplicating things. Now let's talk about Sebring itself. Sebring is one of those towns in the middle of nowhere Florida where you find yourself thinking, "I wonder what it would be like to live here?" while also scratching your head a little. It reminds me of The Villages before The Villages became The Villages. There is a concept there. It is adorable. It is charming. And most of the time, it is very, very quiet. Personally, I would go stir crazy living there full time. But I can absolutely see the appeal. And to be fair, Sebring is not always sleepy. It comes alive during major events like the legendary 12 Hours of Sebring at Sebring International Raceway, which draws racing fans from all over the world. There is also the Sebring Soda Festival, the Highlands County Fair, and various car shows and seasonal events that suddenly flood the town with energy. During those times, I imagine the entire vibe shifts. If I were to come back, it would be for one of those big events or for some serious antique shopping, because that is where this area quietly shines. Gavaghans fits perfectly into that Sebring personality. Cozy. A little unexpected. Solid. Worth stepping into. Even if you are not an Irish pub person, it is one of those spots that makes you think, okay... I get it.

We sat ourselves at a table nearest a window. The place is dimly lit. We placed our order at the bar. We did not wait long for our meal. We each had the Cesar Salad with Bacon bits and a glass of red wine. The salad was a generous portion, fresh and crisp with just the right amount of housemade dressing. We each ate half of the salad and took the remaining home. The place was quiet with only one other table seated. We were able to converse with each other in a relaxed and unhurried atmosphere. It was a most pleasant evening. I recommend Gavaghans and plan to return on a weekend when the place might have a more livelier vibe.

She found Leroy's Southern Kitchen & Bar in Punta Gorda, and let me tell you this place isn't a restaurant it's a whole Saturday night experience! I walked in thinking there had to be a festival, birthday party, or somebody famous in town. Nope! That's just how they roll every Saturday. Live music, people dancing, everyone smiling I started wondering if they slipped happiness into the sweet tea. Now the wife ordered the Nevermind Pressed Burger with extra cheese and black coffee steak sauce. NEVERMIND?? More like Never mind my diet! One bite then another then another and suddenly her plate looked like the dishwasher had already been there. The burger was cooked perfectly, juicy, cheesy, and that steak sauce should be illegal in at least 12 states. Meanwhile, I ordered the 10 oz. Skirt Steak with jasmine rice, carrots, green onions, and their house made Asian marinade. Listen whoever made that sauce I need the recipe, your autograph, and your retirement plan. I was this close to asking for a to go cup so I could pour it on my cereal tomorrow morning. Mama mia that steak disappeared faster than my paycheck after my wife says, Let's just stop at one more store. Then dessert happened. We saw our neighbors order the homemade Banana Nilla Pudding special. My wife looked at me with that look that says, We're getting one. Fellas you already know that's not a suggestion. Well she got one. I got exactly three bites. THREE! ‍ By the time I looked back, the jar was cleaner than the windows at a car wash. Dear Lord now I understand why my doctor keeps telling me to watch my sugar. That pudding almost had me scheduling my next A1C appointment from the table. The live band had me singing songs from back in the day don't ask which ones. Some of y'all are detectives and I'm not giving away my age! And a huge shout-out to Athena! She knew that menu like she wrote it herself. Friendly, funny, attentive she made us feel like regulars even though it was our first visit. So thank you, Uncle Leroy! Between the food, the music, the atmosphere, and my wife stealing 97% of the dessert, this was the perfect way to end an unforgettable Father's Day getaway. Five stars. Come hungry leave happy and if you order the Banana Nilla Pudding, order TWO. One for your wife and one that you hide under the table. Trust me.
