We are frequent campers & have been coming to this campground for over 8 years now & it's turning into nothing but a poorly run dump. We come every year for an event in the dells because of its great location on the strip, but this will be our last year. Rewind to last year's event, we had problems with some of our neighbors being loud until about 6am, called the police, nothing was ever done. Then wake up to this same group fighting & being extremely disturbing in front of everyone & families. Finally got some management to come down to do something about it & they said "they are banned & not welcome back". Fast forward to this year, I called ahead of time to make sure there was some kind of control over situations like this happening again. I specifically talked to the manager & she said "if police are called, we don't care if it's 3am, they are going to pack up & leave." Well same group ended up coming back after being "banned", police got called from a different group & management just said "I talked to the women at the site & they said they will be better tonight". Like what? No control over anything & it's pretty much a free for all to party & be disturbing all night long. This campground also claims to be family friendly but it's far from. Huge glass shards all over their kids sandy playground, to the point I had to refuse to let my kids play or jump on the jumpy pillow. Bathrooms are DISGUSTING! Over flowing toilets, no hand soap, no paper towels. I would advise to stay FAR AWAY from this campground, especially if you have kids! read more

We did the RV rental for the holiday weekend and the kids loved it. The camp ground has a pool and a playground for the little ones. Mt Olympus is literally walking distance (across the street.). When you pull up to the camp site you will see a large sign that say Bonanaza. The RV was clean, only thing is the bathroom fan didn't work in ours. read more

Had the pleasure of staying 3 nights in one of the cabins. Very welcoming staff. Cabin was clean and nicely equipped.

Its been a shi**y stay at a shi**y campground. As we cooked breakfast, we started noticing some terrible smells. The septic system of the campground started backing up and flowing out of the full hookup onto our camp sites. We literally had a lake of shi*. We scurried to try and minimize damage to our stuff. We let the staff know, but they just said "That happens sometimes". No one came to our sites to assess, help, apologize, or anything. We even had to actually ask/demand to be moved to new sites. It took us several hours to move/clean/sanitize the shi* off all of our stuff, not to mention missing out on a whole day of vacation plans. They did not clean up the sites or rope them off to keep kids out. Contaminated sites and nothing was done.. There will be things we will obviously need to replace, but we were offered no sort of refund or even asked if we need help with moving or cleanup. But I did hear that they offered a free pack of firewood. Then, as if being covered in poo weren't enough, staff asked us to do them a favor and move off of our site a day early because they overbooked the campground. They got very pushy about it. read more

Site was full of weeds upon arrival. We did call and someone came out and cleaned them up. There was a hole for a fire pit on our site that was full of trash. No actual fire pit so that was disappointing. The sewer attachment for our black water ( RV) was tall and duck taped together, so the hose had an uphill battle. Disgusting campground. Went here with two other families. Was overcharged by $120. Although they said they would refund the amount they never did and I needed to call the credit card company for dispute. Aside from that, the place was a pigsty. Garbage bags full of garbage all over the place. Bathrooms and showers a mess with feces all over the floor and walls and no toilet paper. It took them two days to pick up the garbage bags full of rotting food at our assigned campground which was left there from the previous people. The pool was also full of hairballs and floating garbage so unusable. If you want to go camping in the dells and you're looking for a noisy spot full of garbage and feces, this is the spot for you! read more

I definitely won't be staying at Bonanza Camping Resort again in Wisconsin Dells WI it is not a resort ! Our campsite was littered with the previous campers one time use dental floss, garbage, on the ground ect . Grass hasn't been trimmed for a very long time .My fire pit is lopsided so I have to prop up one side so my hot dogs won't roll off. The quiet times are not being enforced. We have a camper not too far away playing their base so loud it makes your teeth chatter. Until 1:00 am at it latest. Every night I've been here. I won't bother calling the office as others say the manager doesn't care or no one answer's the phone . Campers beware you don't want to camp here . Go somewhere else. Don't try using their Wi-Fi it doesn't work . Shut it off use your own phone service. read more

This place is disgusting. wall to wall RV's. no room. your front entrance to your RV has the other RV's sewage hose and dump tank. Garbage from last campers is disgusting. I had to constantly pick up their dental floss. Garbage and landscaping is disgusting in your site. They don't clean up. Old nasty disgusting RV's. They would have more room if they open up every other site to let RV's have some room to breath and do some outside games. The store is very empty. They need to stock it. Workers are sitting around eating. They need to stock shelves or just clean them up. Use some of the workers to go clean up RV sites. I will never come here again or recommend Bonanza campground to anyone. They quickly take your money without a deposit and offer no refund. Don't come here. Loud noises were supposed to stop at 11pm. They allow music all night. A persons base was really loss all night. I wish they would make rounds at 11pm and stop the noise. The base music is loud all night. bought what was billed as a cabin through Hotels.com. Indicated everything was included, just bring towels. Even though it was a campground, I expected linens for the bed. Did not get the cabin I had signed up for, instead, a broken-down 5th wheel RV that had seen better days and was grungy and old. Ended up leaving and checking out after trying to make the most of it for 1 hour. Do not recommend. They should verify their site on hotels. com. Entire site seemed unkept and old. read more

One of the worst camping experiences I have ever had. Quiet hours are 11:00-8:00 am, and not observed. For someone who enjoys getting up early, don't camp here. The kids playground is also a joke. The bathrooms were disgusting, broken faucets with water spraying everywhere, toilets with poop all over the seats, toilet paper strewn around the stalls. Young teens drove golf carts around trying to make passengers fall off. Loud music played into the night, the other campers had no respect for other people. Never would I ever recommend this campground to anyone. read more

This place was relatively inexpensive and centrally located. The price for one night: $25. We set up our tent. Spotted some wild deer. Got rained out. Bought a tarp. Got the water out of the tent. Started a fire and bbq. As night fell, the night got louder. Apparently someone drunk and roudy campers tried to wake the dead. The bathrooms. DISGUSTING! Only 4 stalls. Disgusting showers, sinks, and toilets. I literally thought I was in a nightmare. The folks that run the front desk are nice. This is an okay place for camping for one night. Anything longer and you might catch a communicable disease. I'm just sayin'. read more

This was our first time here. First night place was empty but come Friday it filled up. Camp sites are very close. We had really nice neighbors on either side and the office staff were very friendly and helpful. Scott was super nice. Only big issue was some bullies at the playground. Kids throwing sand, squirting kids with juice and knocking kids down. The campground staff were apologetic about the behavior but I recommend you watch your kids when at the playground. Definetly don't go to this campground and if you do don't book online. We booked online 2weeks ahead of time, got to the campground after the payment was taken out and no available sites. The incompetent people at the desk made me wait for 30 minutes at the desk until they told me there was nothing they could do. Nothing better than driving hours with a camper to be told there are no available sites even though you have a confirmed, paid for printed reservation in your hand. read more

This was our first time ever at this campground. More then likely we will not be back. It was nearly impossible to get ahold of anyone on the phone during their "open" hours. It wasn't until I threatened the BBB that I heard anything from anyone and given a different phone number. We arrived to the site well ahead of office closing hours. Guess what? Yep, the office was closed and our information was taped onto the door! Are you kidding me?? Find our site, which was nice not having campers on the right side of us. I guess that's what happens when you have a sewer pole sticking up out of the ground in your yard. yes, the smells at times coming off that were awful. our neighbors to the east moved a day after we were there as the sewer backed up into their lawn. no one even came down to look at it or attempt to fix it until 4 days later. how is that good customer service? pool was dirty, hairballs floating laundry room filthy, trash overflowing onto floor shower room with no air movement and dirty. no toilet paper in stalls for at least one day golf carts speeding through site, cars not stopping at stop signs fire pit not really a fire pit very, very unlevel "cement slab" we had to go to Home Depot to get cement blocks just to get legs on something stable so we could get out of camper read more

So we brought our kids here every year as they were growing up. (There were different owners then). Now our kids have kids and they wanted to keep the tradition going. Needless to say we stayed at Bonanza this past weekend (had 1 cabin and 3 campsites) and were very disappointed! There were a few things I could mention, but one of the big issues I had was the LOUD music that was being played by different groups of people in the campground. You know, it's nice to have a nice peaceful quiet time by the fire with the kids, right? well it must of been about 10:00 P.M. and there were two groups of people playing music so loud you could clearly hear and feel their music half way across the campground! and both groups were very close to our site. So I called the main number and the lady actually said to me "Is the music offensive to you"?!!! and it caught me off guard like 'what'?...and then she immediately said "they have the right to play their music", and I said as loud as they want?!! and she said "yes! quiet time isn't until 11:00 P.M." I told her I can't believe this!! so apparently there is a free for all before 11:00?!!! so I had to confront these groups myself putting myself at peril not knowing how they would react. This was just unbelievable to me. Maybe they are catering to large groups that want to party....(We did notice several groups of people). They (staff and some fellow campers) were SO disrespectful! needless to say we will try Sherwood Forest Campground next time which was recommended to us by a local business or maybe the KOA Campground. By the way! Good luck getting through to them when you call them, if you get through. They were rude to my Wife who is disabled, when she called with some simple general questions. The people at Bonanza really need a lesson in hospitality and kindness!....They just made our weekend not as fun as it should of been. This is the first time I have ever done a review like this, but they deserve this and need to make some changes! and if you notice nearly 50% of the reviews are not 5 star reviews, regardless of where I vacation, I expect 5 star service. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO RUN THIS PLACE LIKE IT SHOULD BE RUN! GET OUT OF THE BUSINESS AND LET SOMEONE ELSE OWN IT THAT CARES ABOUT GIVING PEOPLE A GREAT CAMPING EXPERIENCE! read more

We stayed in a friend's home while at the campground, so I can't speak much on how it is to bring your RV/tent, but I know they have connections for water & electricity. We arrived on Wed evening and only a few tents, Friday morning there were A LOT of tents and RVs, it was nice. Decent sized outdoor pool with lounge chairs and some tables as well. Mini golf is fun! People at the campground store were very nice & knowledgeable. Campground right across Mt. Olympus, great location. We will definitely be back and next time we'll rent out a tent lot. Didn't need to use the bathrooms while there, but bring flip flops for sure and your own toiletries obviously. Free showers. I believe there were 2 showers and 2 toilets for women in the whole campground, that can use some improving. We were told the place recently got bought out, hope they keep the same managing style and just do some repairs. Heard the pool and store are being completely re-done! Can't wait to see the changes! read more

I wish I could give 0 stars! Hands down the worst place to come camping to in the Dells!! My family and I used to come here when the old owners had it and it was the best. We used to have a seasonal site and then took the camper off and just started camping here. Ever since the new owners took over everything went down hill. Our sites sewer is backed up and is giving off a horrendous smell. My dad has a service dog and when we tried to go into the store to just get ice cream we were denied, even though we have a registered service dog with the certificate with us!! After being denied access to the store, the "manager" then came to our campsite and proceeded to tell us we were going to be charged an extra $120 fee for our vehicle being parked on a site when there's no where to park on our site and the next site over was not taken. They are telling us this news after already being here 2 days. We tried explaining that no one working here told us about that extra fee no said anything when passing by and seeing our vehicles parked here. We also explained how our service dog was denied and the manager said "get over it". VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. The manager and the lady with him then began to bash on the old owners, said we had "precious" cars, and began to yell over us and threatened to kick us out. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. read more

This was by far the worst campground we have stayed at. At first glance you see a rather run down campground, we stayed 4 days and that opinion never changed. The shop has dollar store junk for kids and any camping things they do carry are way overpriced. The wood is $5 for a bundle of what amounts to bark and the $7 bundle, which is bigger pieces, won't even burn! We had to buy overpriced lighter fluid from their shop and all that did was burn until the fluid burned off then the wood went out again! We were unable to have any bonfires or cook over our campfire, very disappointing. The sites were way to close together, you are always in danger of your neighbors fire, if they get one going, sparking on your tent or car. The bathrooms had water that only worked when it wanted to. The plus thing to the bathrooms, or the one we used, was it was a huge open area, The showers were roomy, but beware the hot cold shifts in water. The bathroom stalls were roomy and at least they funcioned well. If you want a family expierence this really is not a good place. It is more a campground for people that want to drink and party all day with no consideration for others. Quiet time is 11pm but not really enforced, which most campers really appreciate that being enforced. It's more of an eyesore than a nice vacation area. This is the Wisconsin Dells area, you come here for fun and beauty. My advice, avoid this place, pay a bit extra for a better place, or even a bit less as they are way overpriced for what they offer. read more

Love this place! Very family friendly, the owners are amazing and extremely nice! Clean restrooms and showers, they drive firewood to your campsite, theres electrical & water if you want it, super close to Noahs Ark & Mount Olympus is across the street, nice playground on site and they have a pool too thats clean and nice! Campsites are a little close to each other but it's really not a big deal. Definitely recommend coming here!! read more
