We were late in the season (February) when we tried to get a camping site in devils lake. So happy we found KOA. From the morning of our arrival, we received a courtesy text from the staff. Google maps directed us well to the campground. Once we arrived, check in was super easy. Our host gave us LOTS of info, but it was super nice and great that all of it was down in writing too. They are very friendly, and Ted was awesome in his cart who lead us to our campsite. Among all the great activities that they have planned for the families, we love that they have other amenities: game room, pool, splash pad, laundry room, and whaaaaat? They even deliver you firewood and ice. To your site. No need to get in the car to go to a supermarket and fight someone for the last bag of ice (btw, this is a true story, from this trip while visiting outside of the campsite). How awesome is that? Unfortunately, we had to cut our trip short due to inclement weather, and they were very understanding and helpful. We will definitely visit them back again, and we recommend KOA WIS DELLS to anyone who may be looking for a somewhat last minute get away :) Two thumbs up! Ps: they let you know as you check in that the wifi is not strong enough for streaming, only for maybe checking emails. We planned ahead and downloaded all necessary content. Just FYI in case you have little or big ones who need the extra entertainment!

    Tent on ground with inline??

Clean campground accept for the individuals that think they can't flush their used toilet paper. Pool is small and always crowded. If your tent camping ask for a site that doesn't have an incline so you don't roll out of your tent. Little to no activities but quiet.

This is what all the fire pits look like.

I stayed in a cabin when I visited My 10 fast facts: 1) The site has a game room, small convenience store (which is likely to have whatever you forgot to bring), swimming pool, bicycle rentals, dishwashing station, and playground area for the kids 2) The cabins come in various sizes. Some have bathrooms and some don't. Each cabin has enough space to park two cars. 3) The fire pit is also a combination grill so you dont need to bring your own 4)The BATHROOMS and SHOWERS are community but they're completely private. Each toilet and shower is in a small room with a locked door that displays VACANT or OCCUPIED above the door knob And yes so far they've always been clean. 5) The firewood they sell here is 3 bundles for $12 as of this posting. Its basically tree bark, so i didnt by it. The grocery store called Maurer's Market has the best and largest bundles on fire wood I've seen so far. There's also a wood mill a 5 minute walk away. $5 a armfull. You deposit money in a box. I'm sure this is where KOA gets their bark from that they sell as wood. 6) Bring your own bed sheets and pillows as they are not provided in the cabins. Be sure to bring a thick warm blanket or space heater. My cabin was drafty and I got very cold at night. This was in the beginning of August. 7) Bring enough lamps and candles for your site. Campsite gets very dark. 8) The bunk beds that come in the cabins ARE NOT for tall people. I'm only 5'8 and had a hard time 9) Internet reception in the park is decent. I have tmobile and I had 4gLte signal the majority of the time. 10) It's right off of downtown Wisconsin Dells and is extremely close, driving wise, to everything. I shall return

Nice campground in a very central location to the Dells. Easy access to all main attractions in the area. The campground itself is a bit hilly and some of the sites are harder to get into then others but we were able to maneuver into ours. The site was level which works for us! Came with a nice little patio area as well to enjoy the fire. Perfect spot if you plan on heading into the area.

    Colorful fire!

Love this park!…read more We've been coming to Country Roads since 2004. We've been here for a number of RV rallies and just short visits on our own. We knew the previous owners well. I don't know the current owner or if I've met them but I will say that the place is still very well run from a customer perspective. All staff we've ever encountered has represented the park well. The property is kept up well. Always mowed and nice flowers and plants well planted and cared for all over the park. We used the laundry this week there for the very first time. It was very clean, the machines all worked well and it was inexpensive in our experience ($2 per wash and $2 per dry). The laundry is behind the office and accessible from the office or from the back of the building. Tokens for the machines are sold at the office. They sell firewood, ice, food and other items at the office. There's a small check-in office as you enter the park. Once you are checked in, staff escorts you to your site. The roads in the park in concentric circles. It's very unique and it works very well. There are a lot of tall, mature trees that they keep trimmed up nicely. So most sides have some shade and some sites have a lot of shade. There are bathhouses here. I've not used the showers but I have used the restrooms. Very clean. This park allows travel trailers, 5th wheels and motor homes. I'm not sure if they have any age restrictions on units. I've seen some older (not junky) units in here, some very nice Prevost-based units and everything in between. There are seasonal RVers here but my sense it that great than 50% of the RVers here are transient. Country Roads has always advertised itself "for the big kids". This means there are rarely any children present. There is no playground here and the pool was filled in, in the early 2000's. This suits us well. There are many, many RV parks in this area and all of them cater to families and that's just fine. We've stayed at many of them when we had our kids with us. Country Roads in 5 to 10 minutes from anything in Lake Delton / Wisconsin Dells / Baraboo. A Walmart and Home Depot and more are a quarter mile away. I can recommend Country Roads to any RVer with any type of RV.

Full hook-ups at a reasonable price. Lots are long and spacious. You're close to your neighbor, but not that close. They do have horseshoes to throw and they do Farkle Friday (dice game if you don't know what that is). It's very close to the Dells, Devil's Lake State Park and Mirror Lake State Park. Lots to do in the area, especially for families. TONS of water parks (which were insanely crowded this weekend as we drove by).

Definitely best way to beat the crowds and relax at a quieter campground before the hype of the school year starts up. While the sites look and feel the same as the ones at Devil's Lake, there are far fewer sites and it is much more peaceful. The sites themselves are really well kept. Our little site was still able to fit three cars in the driveway, two full tents and a sunshade. The campground features a massive field, covered family Pavillion and little playground. Really nice way to burn off some energy away from the sites if you're not hiking or sit and have lunch at one if the many picnic tables. Two grills available as well. You can't get better camping showers than I've experienced outside of Mirror Lake! They're all private entrances and have a seperate area behind a partition to put your bag/towel/clothes with a bench. Great hot water and pressure. Seperate bathroom area that is extremely well maintained too. Huge plus! While there aren't a lot of trails, the hiking isn't at all strenuous and has beautiful views of the rock formations along the way. Sturdy walking shoes still required. Personally I wouldn't swim in the water as its a little murkier, although it is so lovely to venture around. You're able to rent kayaks for the best experiences it seems so we'll be doing that next year! I highly recommend taking a break from life at Mirror Lake for camping and relaxed hiking! As well as not enough tubes for the lazy river/ rides! The arcade is also more for younger kids but no issue there other than the workers! The card machine ate $80 of cash and they said there was nothing they could do about it! I had to call and complain a few times for them to offer money back. I decided on this place since they had a few unique slides and such a unique look! plus you got 2 parks in one. I am not a go kart person and they have quite a lot of them. My husband enjoyed those. I just watched. I really wanted to try the roller coasters and I was so lucky with NO lines. The 4 wooden coasters are rough and very intense rides. Would I ride them again? Probably not. But I was so glad I could try them. The waterpark was fun. I did spend most of my time in the indoor portion. However, I really enjoyed the lazy river outside. The crazy wave pool with the 9 foot waves ... scary and crazy... Also not for me but I enjoyed people watching. The rotating slide is really why I was there. I never been on something like this. I think it's the only one in the USA and wow was it weird. It was really fun and different and something I will be probably never experience again. It can give you a little bit of motion sickness due to the movement but if that's not an issue for you, you should be good. I also love a good hot tub which they had. I definitely recommend and would love to come back. It was just so unique and fun.

Also they have a kids' wristband thing that includes a bunch of things that are only in the lower section. Bounce pad, dunk tanks, and the popular pedal carts (not allowed up the hill). The best part that really pleased me was the fire rings. Unlike most sites where it's just a tire rim (no disk just a circle) SF uses actual truck rims that still have the disk part of the rim. This raises the ring off the ground a little and the holes in the disk allow air into the fire. Giving a much better burn with less wood. They will also deliver wood to your site. Pool was great. Nice temp. Staff was nice but not nosy. Guests were all ranges but mostly families. Showers and bathrooms were clean and useful. The only downside is the litter. Little pieces of litter everywhere. Turned us off. While we know this is a guest problem, there is a lot that the owners can do to deter it and fix it. This cost that 5th star. Caught a bunch of Pokemon here. Even a Ponyta. ha
