There are 4 cottages all with the same layout. Each cottage has a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite with a fireplace, full kitchen complete with a gas range. In the center of each, there is a one bedroom suite with a room exclusively for the hottub and a small kitchen. It is rented as either a two bedroom (either end of the cottage), three bedroom (an end and the center one bedroom), five bedroom (the entire cottage). It is a timeshare. It can be rented out. We have stayed there at least five times. It is peaceful there even with the construction going on. They recently renovated to make more modern.

I noticed on the website right away that sundara had construction going on. So when I called to reserve I asked right away exactly How the construction would affect our stay. They assured me that where we were going to be staying they wouldn't be working and that all the work was being done on the way opposite side of the resort. So I went Ahead and gladly paid $577 for my over night stay and couples massage. The room was awsome and the massages were great! But then to get woken up at 7:30am with loud banging literally right next door was frustrating. I think it's great your trying to imprOve and expand but then be honest with me and I would have waited to spend my $577 when the construction was over. My friend works construction everyday and took today (Monday) off of work to get away and relax with me and we dealt with it the whole time. Also I think it's pretty unsanitary to have the breakfast food literally NEXT to rooms that are being worked on. I could see dust coming from a room very close to wear all the fruit and other food was laying out.

The indoor and outdoor pools are absolutely amazing--perfect for kids and adults alike. The outdoor pool has a super fun vibe, and the indoor pool is spotless and a great option for rainy or cooler days, or a night swim. The rooms were super clean -- genuinely well-kept and comfortable. You can tell the staff takes real pride in maintaining the property. Everything felt fresh and inviting. The management is incredibly friendly and responsive. From the moment we checked in with Brad (owner) we felt welcomed. They were happy to answer questions, offer suggestions on local eats and attractions, and really seemed to care about our experience. The location is ideal--just far enough from the hustle of downtown to be quiet and relaxing, but still super convenient to everything Wisconsin Dells has to offer. We were able to walk or take a quick drive to shops, restaurants, and the waterparks. Bonus points for the nostalgic charm of the property--it has that classic Dells feel but is updated and well-maintained. A perfect mix of retro and modern. We'll definitely be back. Can't recommend it enough!

The location is convenient--close to all the Dells attractions and right by the freeway, which made getting around easy. The hotel feels modern, and the service was good. I appreciated the text message follow-ups, which made communication simple. The beds were more comfortable than what we've experienced at other places in the area. The free breakfast was a highlight with plenty of options, and having coffee available all day was a big plus. The pool area was nice as well, and the slide was great for kids. The main downside was that the room could have been cleaner. We also had to ask for extra services like additional blankets and towels. Because of that, it wasn't quite a five-star stay, but overall it was a solid experience and we'd consider staying again.

Really nice splash area with a couple of toddler castle-themed slides. There is one larger slide, but it's not very steep so it's perfect for younger kids. The indoor water area has a small party room attached to it that we were able to use for food and presents. The couple things I'd say could use improvement is that the hotel rooms are pretty small and the indoor area isn't very well lit once the sun goes down. There was minimal overhead lighting which wasn't great for the younger kids. Overall it was a nice experience if you don't want to splurge or get overwhelmed by the bigger indoor waterparks in the Dells!

We came to Wisconsin on 7/3/26 to celebrate our wedding anniversary. One of the things we got…read moretickets for was the Take Flight experience. We couldn't decide out of the two experience which one to do so we did a double feature. We come into the building on the 4th of July and there is an information desk because the place is loaded with other things to do at the resort. We get to the Take Flight and wait in line until it's time for us to go in. It was a bit of a wait because a group before us had just gone in. We did the Space Flight first. WOW is all I can say! I don't want to give it away but I would recommend the experience. It's full of surprises. We really enjoyed Space Flight. Then we unfortunately had to stand in line again for Wonders of the American West. That wait was even longer. We enjoyed that experience too. We got our pictures taken by a photographer for both experiences and we took advantage of their picture offerings after we were done to remember the experience. The one thing that needs improvement is that you have to be weighed before getting access to the line (which is fine). You have to be less than 325 pounds. There is a red light/green bright circular light on a tall pole right above the scale for everyone to see. It's embarrassing if you step on and it turns red for no entry. That should be moved so only the attendant can see. No one should have anxiety about people seeing if you get a green light or red light. Next we were hungry so we stopped at the Camp Social Burger Bar. Many were hanging out at the bar and the food looked pretty good so we decided to get the Burger BBQ which is an angus beef patty with cheese, bacon and onion strings with bbq sauce. It came with homemade potato chips. Hubby got a pina colada mocktail and they decorated it so pretty with the 4th of July colors and decorations. I must say the burger, chips and the drink were divine. We sat in the seating they have and just chilled which was nice. They have so many other eating places and a candy shop. We really enjoyed our experience there and highly recommend. Thank you Wilderness at the Resort. A+ in our books!

We were in search of a place where we could rent the entire property for our wedding and wanted a place where we could offer all of the ages of the family something to do at any given moment. This place delivered!! My best friend and I called this place on a roadtrip because we found it on google and thought it was worth a shot and Chris the owner answered and was so kind and thoughtful that we detoured and stopped to meet him there in the middle of winter. We chose this place because of him and the fabulous, well kept property. We talked with Chris and his wife several times prior to our August wedding and they were patient with our planning process and able to accommodate all of our requests. We cannot thank them enough for the use of the clubhouse and pool! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and exceptional service that made our stay truly unforgettable.  Chris and his wife Angie, the staff and property were more than we could have dreamed up! The property itself is absolutely stunning, nestled in a picturesque setting that offers breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere of the Wisconsin River. It was the perfect site for our wedding and family gathering, providing a beautiful backdrop for our special day and ample space for all our guests to relax and enjoy.  The owners went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of, making the entire experience seamless and stress-free. I think we dodged a bullet with the parking because we were there for dinner. You had to go past an attendant who had a sign by him that parking was $25 per car. Someone from the resort (or corporate, allegedly) reached out around 5:15 PM the night after all…read morethis. The conversation was... let's call it politely vague. A lot of "we're sorry" energy, not a lot of actual substance. She did say they were putting a credit on our account for the trouble. Cool. Great. Love that for us. Except... shockingly... there was no credit on the folio at checkout. Not hidden, not partial, not mislabeled. Just straight up not there. Which honestly feels perfectly on brand for the entire experience. Promise something, deliver vibes. Also, fun little bonus: apparently when you complain, they tag your account internally. So now I've got the digital equivalent of a frowny face next to my name for having the audacity to expect basic competence. Appreciate that. Love the one employee brave enough to mention it though. And for anyone who's seen their social media replies where they say "our leadership team will follow up" or "we'll make this right"... I've got zero evidence that any of that actually happens in a meaningful way. It reads like customer service theater. Lots of optics, very little follow-through. If anyone from corporate is reading this, maybe audit that pipeline, because from the outside it looks completely disconnected from reality. Now for the actual stay. Miserable doesn't even begin to cover it. Checked in at a kiosk, which should have been the easy part, until a staff member decided personal boundaries were optional and started tapping my screen like it was a demo unit at Best Buy. I explicitly said I didn't want a charge-enabled wristband, and they added it anyway. Nothing builds trust like unauthorized spending access tied to your room. Then came the wristband confusion: two different colors, zero explanation, and the distinct feeling I'd accidentally joined a very disorganized timeshare. Check-in took about 80 minutes. Not exaggerating. That included a completely unnecessary trek back to the main lobby from the Hillside building because apparently this place runs on side quests. At that point it felt less like a resort and more like a low-budget escape room where the prize is a working room key. Speaking of which, the room door didn't work. So that was a fun little encore. Just sitting there waiting for maintenance like it's the final act of a very boring play. Pro tip: block off 2 to 3 hours for check-in. Bring snacks. Maybe a novel. Even if they offered me three free nights, I'd pass. Some experiences are just too memorable, and not in the way they were going for. NEVER GOING BACK
