Amazing customer service and the food was cooked perfectly. I will definitely be returning!

If I could give zero stars I would. I used to visit this location weekly. This past Saturday, I ordered takeout. When I got home I realized half my order was missing. I immediately called and spoke to someone that instantly tried to refund the money instead of just replacing the food. They were closing in about 30 minutes. I spent $60 and simply just wanted my food. The person that answered the phone replied "my manager has been in the bathroom and he usually handles these issues" like what kind of response is that. I told her I just wanted my food and I didn't understand what the issue was. She obliged and my husband went to get the food. While waiting I started taking fries out to put them on a plate for my 6 yo. I felt something poke me and pulled out a metal object that appeared to be part of the fry basket. My husband was already there and showed the manager who apparently finally made it out of the bathroom. This guy offered my husband a new order of fries! What a joke. I reached out to the corporate office immediately and not one person had the tact to reach out. No apology, zero accountability at all. $60 of food went in the trash because who knows what else we would have found. So disappointed with the food but even more with the service. read more

I ordered the soy garlic wings and they were not sauced enough and was missing that familiar taste ive come to know. The location is nice and clean and i like the decor on the walls. First time i've been to a bonchon and I was crazing fried chicken. The location is right in a mall shopping area/strip. Plenty of seats and it's clean and the food comes out quick. The staff was friendly and the manager was a cool dude. Ok so the prices are up there but bear with me. For the food you get the price matches. Let's talk about how the drumstick was the size of my hands. I don't know where they get these super sized steroid chicken from but DAMN! Literally 5 pieces with the soy garlic sauce for $19 and a side of radish and when it came out I could only eat two pieces. My daughter has been telling me to try Bonchon so finally here we go. I visited the one in the Lefante Way plaza, Ashley the nice lady at the counter was friendly and helpful. The store was nice and clean. The decor is cute. Now for the food! It's was a bit of a wait but that's fine since it was made fresh to order. I am not a sourced wings type of woman but who is soft soy garlic wings were amazing. The chicken was seasoned. It was double fried so the crunch was amazing and the sauce enhanced the seasoned chicken versus it doing all the heavy lifting. I also ordered the bow bun with fried chicken that was super delicious. The bun was soft. The slaw and fresh slice of cucumber paired with the crisp seasoned chicken was fantastic even when it was cooled off over an hour later the chicken was still crunchy. I have a new favorite place to visit for delicious wings. I'll definitely be going back to try other items from their menu and I'll update this review. Stay tuned!! read more

Placed a pick up order at 3pm for pick up at 7:30pm, I walked in 10 minutes late and I was greeted by an incredibly rude young but silver haired woman at the front who was already arguing with the gentleman ahead of me. They were arguing over adding sauce to an order. She was refusing to include sauce on a half and half order since the order had already started. She went back into the kitchen to grab the chef and he immediately obliged. Now for my order which I placed around 3pm this afternoon. I ordered them for 7:30 for a football game starting around 8. Upon realizing I'd rather not leave the house again, I called and asked to have my order made immediately instead of at 7:30, I was denied twice. As I look around the restaurant, I notice nobody has their food either. Please stay away from this shit hole. I really prefer these places to be run by Koreans. Was actually heading to Houlihan's in the same mall to get their 3 course meal & decided to give this place a try because I always see it & never tried it. Did pickup, Got 5 chicken legs with a sweet spicy sauce, chicken and as fresh with a great crunch, sauce is 6 star but the actual chicken had not an ounce of flavor. Got some rice and seasoned fries, everything was $32 without tip, I don't tip for takeout For the price, which is high in my opinion, food was mediocre , should have stuck with my original plan for 3 course at Hiulihans would have been $26 before tip. The reason for even giving 3 stars was that the chicken was actually very fresh & it was freshly fried & it was all about the sauce which I would have bought in a bottle but at best this was an average meal that should have been at most $20. read more

We were left a little disappointed. While the chicken was nice and crispy, the plain fried chicken was SO bland; definitely could've salt and pepper. The soy garlic fried chicken was pretty good. The bibimbap was good and the tteokbokki was just ok. The tteokbokki sauce was super runny which I wasn't expecting. Comparing Bonchon to bb.q chicken, I personally prefer bb.q chicken. Bonchon's chicken is bigger and crispier but not as flavorful. Bb.q's chicken has so much flavor, even the plain fried chicken. Bb.q chicken's tteokbokki portion is bigger also bigger. Just. no. Was craving and stopped by, got an order of wings and bibimbap. Wings - They were so battered I couldn't even tell which part of the chicken they were!! And WAYYY oversauced. Chicken was fatty and just too much. I felt gluttonous after eating just a couple. Bibimbap - should not be called bibimbap. Yay. It's finally opened. The last time I went to a bon chon was 12 years ago. They do have mucus and music videos playing on tv screens for your entertainment so that's a plus. The place is clean and the interior is very pretty! Service is helpful and they are very patient. If you're in a rush then order ahead of time. read more

Only ever ordered delivery. Their drumsticks are huge! From like a hulk chicken. Very good. Super crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The boneless are good as well and I probably rather eat that, less messy. The bbq sauce is very spicy so I prefer the soy garlic. The seasoned fries are my favorite. They have herbs and parm cheese. The coleslaw is super fresh and not too mayo-y. It's very good too. And even though all this food is fried I don't feel gross after eating it. read more

I was told that not all Bonchons are created equal, and that statement holds true. This location was excellent. The service staff were very friendly and helpful, and everything I ordered was fresh. Went there opening day at 11am. Here us my rating for what I bought. Boneless: 0/10 no sauce and dry. Essentially just tasted batter. Didn't have the crisp I am used to. Was these even double fried? My first time trying this Bonchon last night and it wasn't a good one. It didn't take long to complete the order and I ran home to enjoy it with my daughter. First thing that was obvious is that none of the sides were in the bag. I ordered the Cole slaw and radish and then paid for a rice and an extra radish. Leaving all this out really changes the enjoyment of the meal. Second- the chicken strips were fried to obliteration: hard, tough and inedible. The boneless soy garlic were the only saving grace. No reason for opening day jitters. Bon Chon doesn't open new franchises with rookie managers. They have 100s of stores and if they don't deliver on opening day with experienced staff, they should never open a new one. The staff was welcoming and answered and seeked out answers when they were stumped. The problem started with the non-existent online ordering. We had to go in and order and wait 15+ min. The chicken came out quick, a bit too quick and that might be the problem. The chicken wasn't crispy/crunchy like ALL Korean fried chicken. And for the flavor, it is gone after the 1st bite. I heard about this great Korean restaurant coming to NJ I couldn't wait to visit. I ordered the half and half wings and tacos. I waited 50 minutes for under cooked chicken. The tacos had chewy bulgogi with no flavor. I felt nausea after the meal. Every order, is suppose to be served with complimentary coleslaws it was not even placed in the bag! I originally ordered at the Nutley location through their website for delivery and had to cancel because a driver couldn't pick up the order. I called and canceled my order through DoorDash (their delivery service) but never received a refund as promised. My order totaled over $70 and wasn't willing to let it go under the rug. After calling the store and DoorDash over several days with no answers I reached out to the Parsippany Location for more direction. Would Not Recommend! I ordered the Korean fried chicken, and it was definitely not that. The chicken was breaded and enormous. It was not flavorful.
