This is Korean food meet sports bar scene. Everything that you get is Asian but kinda greasy and huge portions. It's like Korean bar food made American style. I would say the food is mediocre at best. I came in starving and got my fill but was not impressed. The Korean tacos were the best tasting and I would say the udon soup was last I like. The seafood was clearly frozen and the broth was hot but nothing filling. I also wish there was red pepper paste with the bibimbop bowl rather than the red sauce they provided. To begin- DELICIOUS Korean fried chicken! The soy garlic wings were perfect. This was my third time having Korean fried chicken and I believe Bonchon is a strong contender for first. Reasonably priced for the medium combo me and a friend shared it and it was plenty for us. Friendly staff members, we did take out but the restaurant looked nice! The only reason for the lack of 5 stars is that the spicy wings was insanely spicy. I have a fairly decent spicy level but this level was extremely painful making the experience a little bit traumatic. Two of my friends shared the spicy wings and they both agreed it was too spicy- one even having an even higher spicy tolerance. I believe the spicy level needs to be readjusted to be more consistent- my friends have tried Bonchon before and stated that the spicy wings were not as spicy as the set we got. I came here with some friends to share a 30 pc half and half wings and had a pretty good time! We were surprised to find that the prices have raised to over $40 for these but we were determined to enjoy some Korean fried chicken anyway. They took a long time to bring out our order and gave us both drums and wings, but it we enjoyed them anyway. The chicken itself, in my opinion, had some room to improve. They had a great crispy outside while being juicy on the inside, but the sauce for the soy garlic was so disappointing. We didn't taste the garlic over how extremely salty the soy part was. 5/5 for the spicy chicken and pickled daikon but I'd give the soy a 2/5 just because it was too salty for us to properly enjoy. I went here for my friend's birthday on a Friday night and it wasn't too busy at all. We took our seats for a group of 8 and ordered two of the largest combo. The first time I went to Bonchon was in Boston YEARS ago, and I have been wanted to go back for ages! The crispy skin is like no other. It's thin and fried to be extra crispy than your average fried chicken. The soy garlic flavoring is savory and sweet and is not overwhelming. We also had spicy ones, which is quite a lot to handle. If you are okay with spice tolerance, these will be spicy so the picked radish that they give you is a great way to cool down after having a spicy piece. I would say I'm pretty spice tolerant but definitely not the biggest go getter for it and it was hot! I personally would need more soy garlic piece than spicy, but it's exciting when spicy food at restaurants is actually spicy! read more

Ordered 30 piece wings, edamame, and fried rice on Uber eats. The wings were incredibly smaaaaal! Like half the size of a regular wing. I just had to take the picture of one next to a k-cup for reference. I usually love Bonchon, but this was a colossal disappointment. We ordered about 30 minutes to closing, maybe that is why we got what looked like leftovers, but I was extremely disappointed. To top it off, it was delivered without plates or cutlery. Since I have gone to Bonchon's for my first time a couple months back, I have told everyone and their mother about this place! I have gone back countless times and continue to rave about this place! Their wings are so tasty!! During my most recent visit, I ventured out and tried the potstickers with half soy garlic and half spicy and their kimchi. The potstickers are good, but eight dumplings for $10 seems a bit steep. The kimchi was interesting. It was cold in temperature and was spicy, but not spicy enough where I couldn't handle it. For the table we started with the chicken strips and selected the garlic soy and spicy sauce (half and half). The crisp on the chicken was out of this world! I would have liked to see a wing sauce that was in between the garlic soy and spicy. For my entree I got the fried rice with bulgogi. In my opinion the fried rice was a little too fried and wasn't something I would get again. There wasn't much flavor and the rice could have used a little more soy sauce. My friends and I were surprised to find that they had bonchon here in ohio! We have all tried bonchon from California before and this place did not disappoint. We got a large size (30pcs) wings half and half flavor (spicy and soy garlic) with pickled radish as a complimentary side. But its the food that's the claim to fame here. Korean friend chicken...double deep fried with two sauces to choose from (soy garlic and the spicy). I like spicy food, but this was like Thailand level spicy. Like wow, seriously, it cleared my sinuses and I was breaking a sweat without having finished half my meal. When ordering the chicken you can choose between wings, drums or strips. My intel tells me that to get the best bang for your buck with respect to the amount of chicken you get, go with the chicken strips. Once you choose the type of meat, then you order small, medium and large size. It only comes with a side of pickled radish. Which is weird for an asian place not to serve rice automatically. "Do they deliver????" - my boyfriend's first time here, after eating a few wings. My thoughts exactly! If you have not tried korean fried chicken: GO. TO. BONCHON!!! I've never tried chicken as crispy, yet still juicy, and SO flavorful. I want to say that they double fry the chicken to get that crispiness, but I could be wrong. Literally started drooling just thinking about Bonchon. They have combinations of the type of chicken you might want: wings, strips, or drumsticks. We opted for 20 wings, split with 10 of the spicy and 10 of the soy garlic glazed wings. The drumsticks are more expensive, but they are hefty pieces of drumsticks! Let me tell you, their sauce on their spicy wings are hot hot hot. I have a high spice tolerance (or so I'd think), but these wings will give you some tears in your eyes. You won't stop though, because they're soooo delicious!! Trust me, they taste good as much as they are spicy. They have cubed pickled radishes that come with the wings. Perfect palette cleanser to cool down that spice level a little bit before you go back in. The soy garlic glazed wings are a must, for anyone who doesn't want the heat. These definitely aren't your average "teriyaki" wings as in other places, but pack a punch with how flavorful they are. We also ordered a plate of that wonderful Japchae. A fan favorite for those who haven't had Korean food before (and for those who have)! A splendid mix of glass noodles, beef, and vegetables brought together by a flavorful sauce. Bonchon has always been my favorite as I have tried numerous locations across the country but this place was a disappointment last time I came. First, they were out of bone-in wings which was their classics. So the server recommended us to get the tenders instead "since they made freshly daily while the boneless wings are not". Kinda concerned already so we ordered both to see the difference. Actually the tenders were worse than the boneless wings even though both were far from my expectation. The boneless wings were even tinier than McDonald chicken nuggets. The restaurant had like 4 full tables that night but the server took so long for everything. Customer service was meh. Bonchon is a chain of Korean style fried chicken and other Korean dishes. This is the 1st location in this area and is worth a visit. Located in an attractive freestanding building on Broadview Road in Seven Hills, part of a large commercial strip. The lot is a bit small, when I arrived it was full and had to park on the side street. Once inside you find a good sized room with a bar on one side, a partition down the middle and plenty of tables. The decor is modern and there are flat screens ringing the room showing sports. The menu is rather small, but with enough variety to provide for most everyone. Service was overall good, with attention when we wanted it. I ended up ordering the Seafood Bibimbap; a large hot pot filled with rice, topped with vegies, the seafood and a raw egg, plus a side of spicy miso sauce. The idea is to mix it up and let the rice cook to crispy at the bottom of the bowl. Overall this was enjoyable, the red miso is essential to get the whole thing tasting good; the seafood was a mix of smaller shrimps, bay scallops and some squid, nice, but nothing special. My favorite parts of the the dish were the mushrooms, great slices with excellent flavor and wonderful umagi; and the crispy rice at the bottom which has nice crunch. I also got to try Takoyaki, a dumpling with octopus inside; good, but not what I expected since it was more other filling with just a small piece of chewy octopus. Unlike most Korean places, you don't get the banchon; small dishes of kimchi and pickles and such; they do serve some pickled daikon with the chicken, which was a bit sweeter then I am used to. I used to frequent Bonchon when I lived in NYC so I was so excited to hear they built one in CLE! Located in Seven Hills near Independence/Parma, it's about a 15 min drive straight south on 77 from downtown. All of my friends think it's the BEST FRIED CHICKEN in Cleveland. So crispy and flavorful. There are 3 flavors that you can order (Plain/Soy Garlic/Spicy **it's more like Hot**). For your average joe, spicy might be too hot. So our group always opts for half soy garlic or half spicy. Personally, I like to order soy garlic with a side of hot to dab. My favorite are the strips and drums. Other dishes worth trying are the Salmon Avocado Ball, Dumplings, Fried Rice, Seasoned French Fries, and Bulgogi Beef Tacos. They run some affordable lunch specials that are pretty quick. But they've got some great TV's and a large projector so it's a great place to watch a sports game! Good craft beer list and full bar. Awesome patio in the summer. Not the best Korean tacos I've ever had but they were pretty darn good. Very juicy and messy but great flavor. I couldn't eat all three - I had to take one home. The rest of the menu looked great but it's a bit pricey. It would be expensive to try lots of different dishes at one time. I also wish they served their wings in smaller denominations than 12. In general I have always felt it was a little pricey for fried chicken. This time I was there for lunch and they had a many of the menu items in the lunch menu for what I think is more appropriately priced. We had the chicken fried rice and the chicken strips half hot and half the garlic flavor. The food was hot and came out quick. I really enjoyed it. Very few korean fried chicken spots in this area, so major props to Bonchon opening up a restaurant in Northeast Ohio! Modern interior design, set up very much like a sports bar (9 TV screens and counting). Great for group settings. I recommend ordering the Chicken wings and chicken drumsticks combination, with Half&Half for the sauce (Half Soy-garlic, Half Spicy). You'll be able to try a little bit of everything with this combo. Mathematically (let's be real - everything related to chicken wings often comes down to the math), I think the Spicy Drumstick gives you the optimal surface area flavor to volume ratio per bite. The meat in the drumstick is particularly juicy and tender, however less so in the wings. Don't forget to get the cole slaw or the radish in between bites - it's a nice palate cleanser/neutralizer to all of the saucy flavors. Overall, happy to have a Bonchon in the area for a KFC (Korean, not Kentucky) fix. A year ago I went to Chicago in search of some kpop wings and when I left a review for a spot there, I was sent a message from i guess the owner or something about a BonChon opening in NEO. I waited for about a year because I've been so busy but I finally decided to make the drive. Location is about 45min from me since I'm coming from Akron but it's not a bad drive overall. Upon arrival, I was amazed to see so many Asians in there dining, not working. I know it's Korean chicken wing place but walk into a Panda Express and I bet it won't have a grip of Asians in there eating. I was expecting it to be something like a Panda Express but it's not at all. I ordered what I believe was the medium, which is 3 drums and 6 wings. I was thinking it was going to be 3 drumettes but it was 3 full drums and 6 full wings! That's a lot of food. I also ordered a side of kimchi just to try it out and it's actually legit. I was expecting the Chinese buffet type but it's the real deal. Don't think it's worth $3 tho. I ordered the spicy flavor also expecting it to be "white" hot but it's not either. It's pretty spicy but it doesn't burn long. It last for a bit then goes away. The daikon is a nice addition too! I really didn't know what to expect, but it amazed me how good everything was. I took home some wings and ate them the next day and they were still crispy. Again, I was expecting them to be soggy but there weren't. They are like a thick tempura batter.
