As a new customer I had high hopes - they are close and I had just bought a used rather high mileage BMW. When I tried to schedule a simple diagnostic check and maybe add an oil change, they insisted on $500 cash. I have a credit score well into the 800's and could prove it on the spot - Nope. Cash only. If you pay your bills, and have great credit and need an insult? This is your place. I called several other dealers - none had ever heard of such a thing. I brought in my 750i due to issues with a sensor. That repair plus three preventative maintenance services totaled $ 1500. When I was checking out, I handed the gal my credit card, she processed the transaction and I left. Before leaving, I texted my son, as there was a T-shirt in the boutique I thought he would want. I left the dealership and several minutes later he texted back that he did want one. I drove back to the dealership and there was a different gal at the payment desk. While she was processing my purchase I was standing at the counter and there was a plastic frame holding a piece of paper. I turned it around facing the boutique and read that there was a 2% charge for credit card purchases. I totally get the reason for Autohaus to charge that, however I was not informed by the first cashier and if I had been, I would have simply given the gal my debit card and avoided the almost $ 30.00 charge. I spoke with Chris (Service Manager) and he said he would 'look into it" and get back to me. I have not heard from him, and it's been 2 weeks. I actually saw Peggy W (Business Manager) at a car show last Sunday. I explained the scenario to her, and she was very unempathetic, and dismissive with me. She immediately went into a rhetoric of "Oh well, I'll have to remind them again to mention that". She had the opportunity right then to "make it right" by offering to do something but instead started picking up brochures telling me that I had automatically been enrolled in a customer loyalty program. Bottom line- I would like that 2% ($ 28.50) credited back to my credit card. Once again, it would have not been an issue to use my debit card and I certainly would have if I was aware of the fee. I purchased my vehicle from Autohaus and have gone there exclusively for all maintenance and repairs. With how rude Peggy W. was and how unwilling they are to make this right, I'll most likely be looking for another dealership. read more

My service advisor was friendly and there was a high level of communication. However, I've found Autohaus to consistently charge more compared to other area BMW dealers for the same service. Thankfully I decided to get a second opinion on a $4000 repair that my car allegedly needed and was deemed unsafe to drive by Autohaus because I was informed by another dealership that after rigorous testing everything was in great shape! read more

I made an appointment to get my car looked at. The wheel is messed up, and it needed some attention. I booked my appointment three weeks in advance only to find out that I'm not gonna be able to get my car finished until two weeks from now. they are telling me that THEY ONLY HAVE TIME FOR AN OIL CHANGE EVEN THOUGH I clearly stated on the phone that my car needed work. unbelievable, wont be back. I'm extremely disappointed with the service I received at Autohaus BMW during my visit on August 21, 2025. I brought my car in for recall work and an oil change and was quoted on two optional cosmetic repairs, which I declined. When I picked up the car, I was told by the service advisor, Chris Buie, that a larger trim piece had been broken by their technician. He laughed while explaining it would need to be replaced and painted. Because I was in a rush to leave town for a business trip, I didn't have time to review my invoice and paid it without realizing I had been charged $210 for that broken part, something I never authorized and that was damaged by their own team. I requested a refund for work they didn't do, yet charged me anyway. I've emailed Chris, the service manager, and the general manager multiple times with no response. That lack of accountability, on top of charging me for their own mistake, is completely unacceptable. I've asked Autohaus to cover the cost of repairing the damage they caused, with no response, but I will not have the work done there. This experience has destroyed my trust in the dealership. This is one of the WORSE BMW REPAIR. They literally broke my car and blame it on everyone and everything else on why it happen. I drove my car up there to be repair and they told me I needed to tow it home like what! I been trying to get my car fix for so long now and they have did nothing but wrongly fixed my car. Buying from them was a great experience. But if you need anything done to your car it's a nightmare! The service department is so bad they are not helpful. I got told at my oil change I needed work done and tried to set it up and the guy never called me back. So a few months later, I made an appointment to drop it off online since that guy never called me back and now the estimate is double the price! I don't trust them at all, I suggest going elsewhere, it feels like a scam. I only went here because my car is still under warranty, but they're saying this isn't covered under warranty, but when I called other places, for a second opinion they said it should be under warranty. Today I called the service department to get a quote on a repair I needed done and also said that I would need a "loaner" to get back and forth to work while my car was being repaired. I figured this was no thing. Same thing at Plaza and Newbold. Never a problem. I purchased the car from Autohaus. Multiple BMW family here. Our other BMW was bought at Newbold. Newbold BMW is closer to us by 45 minutes so we frequently use them over Autohaus just for shear logistics and convenience. Today I was told that I had to "establish a relationship" with Autohaus to receive a loaner vehicle while my car was being worked on. Even though I bought the car from there. Yeah the price of the repair was cheaper at AutoHaus, but ultimately decided to take the car to Newbold and pay more just for the simple fact that I didn't need to establish a relationship, aka spend my money having my car frequently serviced there in order to get a loaner. The absolute worse service i've ever experienced at autohaus. Each time I'm assigned the advisor Trey he's extremely rude and loud. I brought my car in to have a rim repaired and oil changed. Turned out I needed tires and alignment which was fine. However, I was given an electric vehicle which dead the next day. So I was told to bring it back by 5:45 to exchange for different vehicle. unfortunately my advisor had left so i was given Trey . He was rude from the beginning. Never said anything to me after sitting for 20 mins i walked over to ask if he had a car ready. Rudely he said he's waiting, he'll let me know. He tried to give me an x1 which is extremely small. I have an x6. He told me I had to take the x1 or electric vehicle. The bigger vehicles are for his customers. I asked if i could take my car and bring it backZ he said no because it's in the air. I asked for a manager he said the service manager was gone. I told him to get me a manager. Needless to say, Trey should not be an advisor he is extremely rude and unprofessional. read more

We were barely greeted when entering the building. At the BMW we go to in Cincinnati they normally give us a loaner car to drive while ours is being fixed, but this one offered us nothing. Have never had a good experience with this dealership. Bought a new 2019 X5 and from day one it had issues. The satellite antenna kept going out and had to take it back 2-3 times before they admitted that it was bad and replaced it. Then water started pouring into the cabin from the roof mounted microphone which was due to a clogged sunroof drain. Most recently got a Recall Notice for the ignition. It stated that car needed to be service to prevent possible fire. Mind you, never had any issue with the car starting, but took it in anyway. Got the car back and after a week of sitting in garage, went to start the car and it wouldn't start. Called up service and they said there was NO WAY it was anything they did, it had to be the battery. Jumped the car and took it AutoZone to have the battery tested. Battery came back 100%. Decided to let bygones be bygones, but now the car won't start again and now Autohaus is telling me for $200, they will take a look at it. I would not recommend them for service at all. I am searching for a new BMW dealer now. Anyone have experience with NewBold BMW? read more

Our BMW i3 died and we had it towed to Autohaus BMW in St. Louis. They claimed they had the 'lowest rates in the region'. After 1.5 days waiting for it to go through the 'que', we were told it was the 12 volt battery that 'might' be the issue and a new one would be $500 dollars (plus) which 'may' require a reset which would be another $300 dollar (plus). Labor, by the way, is $190/hour. But the first hour is half price. WAY too expensive. We ended up having it towed and doing the work ourselves for much less. $275 towing, $175 for the battery...FREE labor. Chris B at Autohaus knew that my wife is a travel nurse and she was in a situation with the car. But all they care about is $$$. Never again. Word of mouth goes a long way. read more

Autohaus BMW presents a good façade. The interior is very polished and it presents well. However, they are crooks. Autohaus BMW is the worst place to take your older BMW to for repairs. When I say older I mean 10+ years. They got me real good. I was given a quote for repairs on my BMW X5 of $795. They had my car for 8 weeks and each week they called and said if we replace this then we should replace that, if we replace that then we should also replace something else. When it was all said and done the cost of repairs was over $4000 and my car still was not repaired properly. The service people not the technicians but the service/sales people are sheisty up salesmen. I was done when they called and said they had to do a smoke test that would cost $120. I said do you believe I'm going to pay you $120 to blow more smoke up my A**. I asked to speak to the Service Manager when I picked up my vehicle and conveniently he was not available. Autohaus BMW has no professional integrity and I do not recommend their service at all! Do yourself a huge favor and go somewhere else. read more

I brought my X5 BMW to Autohaus servicfor an apt time at 9:30 am, in which I arrived on time. When I called to make the appointment, I stressed a commitment at 10:30 am that day. The person who booked it said to do 9:30 which would get me out in time. When I arrived, I was directed to wait for the service person. She was on the phone. I waited for 20 minutes for her to be free, watching several other people be helped before me. When she got off of the phone, she left her desk, and I entered her office as directed. At 9:51 am she finally came in, and acted surprised to see me there even though she had seen me standing outside. She asked, "Oh did they tell you to come in here? Sorry about that!" As if I wasn't supposed to be in there. I was using a loaner car that day to be sure I could get to my appointment. Before I left, we did a walk around on the car. It was brief. There were areas that I had pointed out that she did not notice, including the front bumper being scratched. In order to be on time for my appointment, I needed to get out of there. I signed the paper and left. When the car was ready for me to pick up, she called and also advised that there were some things that were wrong with my car that needed attention. I asked her to repeat them, and her response was "don't worry, I am going to give you an estimate and go over that when you pick up the car." She also advised not to do anything right away, and assured me it could wait until the next time I brought my car in. When I came back to get the car, I was told to go to the cashier and that "she" has your paperwork. Being unfamiliar with this service department or the processes, I had no idea what that meant and I assumed "she" was the same same service advisor, as she stated she would go over the estimates for my car. Again she was on the phone, and again I waited while another woman was helped before me ... which ended up being to my advantage this time. When she was off of the phone, I walked in her office, and she directed me to the cashiers desk saying she had all of the paperwork I needed. So much for "going the new estimate" as stated on the phone. I waited for the cashier to help the woman before me, and she then helped me. She the woman before me had the exact same issue as my car, but hers was more than twice the amount of my estimate, because she waited too long to fix it. The cashier advised not waiting or it would be more money in the long run. The cashier was the kindest, most professional and supportive person that day. I really appreciated her level of service, help, and most importantly honesty. As I was finished at the cashiers desk, the service advisor was there. I quickly thought she was going to go over my estimate as stated on the phone. Nope, that never happened! She was there asking me to initial on a piece of paper because the service team found a piece of rubber sticking up on the passenger side door, that they claimed wasn't there when I took the car. They had already taken the car and didn't even attempt to show me what they were talking about, just insisted I initial on the line. I assured them I had not used the passenger side door all day. I questioned her and the manager on this, and they insisted it wasn't there when I left. Good thing I found the scratched bumper or they would have made that my responsibility as well! The manager's explanation was someone must have tried to break into the car, and he expects that all cars are returned the same that they left. I appreciate that, and I expect the same, which I will say I was disappointed in the appearance and condition of my vehicle upon return. On the website it reads, "At Autohaus BMW, we not only strive to meet your highest expectation, but to exceed them." To say I am dissatisfied in their effort to exceed my highest expectation is an understatement. Before being self employed, I worked in hospitality for years at companies including Virgin America Airlines and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. I have my Masters Degree in Hospitality Services. My point, I not only know good hospitality and service, I taught it at both of these brands. The service and level of treatment, I received at Autohaus BMW is far less than exceptional, less than good even. We had a Nissan in our home and the service received from the Bommarito Nissan service department, far exceeds the level of service received at Autohaus BMW. We have a Cadillac in our home, where just last week we experienced first class service; they came to our workplace, brought us the loaner car, and did a THOROUGH inspection and walk around opening doors and the trunk. The experience couldn't have been more exceptional. I am highly disappointed and I will not be returning to Autohaus BMW. I will make a point of driving the extra 30 minutes out of my way to Plaza for mutual respect and good service. read more

I've never bought a car here but have brought in an x5 and z4 for warranty service a handful of times over the years and they are ALWAYS tremendously helpful. almost everything is covered under warranty (oil changes, wipers, fluid flush, hydraulic pump for convertible top!) They even gave me warranty service after I was a few thousand miles past warranty. the loaners are great too - today i got a new (only 5kmiles) fully loaded 5 series. drives great Plus there are free krispy kremes and sunny d! best service dept ever!! read more

I had a great sales experience here. Started with Jens, who was kind and patient as I asked tons of questions. I looked at a 4 series, 3 series, then landed on an M240i - and I fell in love with it! He made me feel confident about driving it. After the main sales part was signed, they took the car to gas it up, wash it and vacuumed... meanwhile they sent me over to Steve Emerson, the finance guy. I've been through this process a few times, and I always groan before getting to the extended warranty guy, but this process felt helpful vs. trying to gain more $$$. He took me through different extended warranty options and explained the types of repairs I might expect, how much maintenance would be, etc. It was quite painless. It was a bonus that the whole system is digitized - you breeze through documents on a screen desk, which was so much better than the 1000-times copied forms from my previous experiences. The craziest part of the experience was when the technology was explained to me by "Larry" the BMW Genius. He got my phone synced up, my favorite stations, showed me how to control everything, and he seemed just as excited about the car as I was. And he does this all the time! Plus he brought me a water and some chocolates to ride off with. Just wowed. I recommend this place. It has good vibes. All the people I encountered were nice too. read more

Yesterday morning the check engine light on my 335i flashed on. Since I had the day off from work I was able to immediately take my car to Autohaus to check on the light. It turns out my fuel injectors need to be replaced along with ignition coils. All of this is covered by BMW's 100,000 / 5 year warranty, so that was great news (I only pay a $50 deductible). While they have the coils out, I also opted to change the spark plugs since it will save me an hour of labor. Autohaus has a beautiful facility. My wife, baby, and I waited in a comfortable waiting room with free Starbucks coffee and Tazo teas. In addition, Autohaus gave us a $20 voucher for the gift shop while we waited, so I picked up a free BMW Motorsports coffee tumbler that looks pretty sharp. Best of all, since I didn't have an appointment and my car won't be ready until Monday, the let me use an über sharp Estoril blue 435i X-drive, with the M-Sports package for the weekend as a loaner at no charge. BMW makes my many of my favorite cars. And with customer service like this, I'll keep returning to Autohaus. read more

I bought my car used. On the last day of the factory warranty a bolt came loose and did damage to a rear boot around the axle and differential. Two people from Autohaus told me that since my warranty expired the day before I called them for service I was out of luck and they could put me through to a manager whom I left a voicemail for. 24 hours later and he had not returned my call. I called Plaza Motors. The service associate spoke with the service manager and was given approval to cover 100% of the repair. The car only had 20k miles on it. They fixed it in 48 hours with no out of pocket costs. I will not buy my next car from Autohaus or recommend the dealership to anyone. My factory warranty expired 12 hours before I called them and they would not honor it. I guess since I didn't buy my car there my warranty was treated as second class. Don't count on Amanda Suraci in the service department if your warranty is even one minute past the expiration. read more

Update, they didn't put it back the way it was. It runs cooler on the highway, but even hotter in traffic. The throttle response is different/the power comes on differently so they clearly didn't put the ECU sback the same way. Plus, now it needs a balance; there's a nice wobble when I'm on the highway where it was butter smooth before. So now I gotta take it somewhere else to fix what wasn't a problem in the first place. Another update, took my car to Bimmers R Us for the Dinan software. Turns out I don't have the upgraded oil cooler Autohaus told me I did, so, we're they goin got charge me for stage 2 but only install stage 1??? Were they going to install stage 2 and let me blow up my motor?? What the heck is going on there?? read more

Concerning business practices...made an appointment for an oil change and almost $900 later, received additional services (brake fluid, air filter, fob battery replacement) being charged twice as much in labor as the cost of parts!!! The only reason I am rating 2 stars is because I bought my BMW at this dealership and prior experiences have been positive. Very disappointed in this service experience and I do feel with my limited automotive knowledge, I was taken advantage of as an inexperienced female. Minimum expectations should have been getting approval of these additional services, a price in advance, any communication of this astronomical amount compared to the oil change appointment/price given originally!!! read more

I was buying a car out of the city so I wanted to make sure the car didn't have any issues. I called and talked to Chris B. in service and he was awesome with me and the seller. I was paying for the PPI (pre purchase inspection) so he worked with me for payment and receiving the report. The mechanic also sent a video of his findings which was very helpful. The car had a oil leak and Chris was instrumental in getting the repairs completed before I came down. I felt confident in purchasing the car mostly sight unseen. read more

I've never been up sold and my x5d is always ready as promised. But. My advice is never, never own a BMW that is out of warranty. Never! Sales department is ok. Facility is clean and well designed. First off, I've used Autohaus several times since moving from Chicago to Saint Louis a year ago. I've always felt the Service Mangers were less friendly than expected, but I just deal with it (intake guys are always very nice). Today 10/15/2014 I arrived for an appointment to repair one airbag due to a BMW recall. Autohaus is located in the complete opposite direction of my job (10 miles in the wrong direction). I was informed by one of the intake specialist that "we ran out of parts to repair my airbag and I would have to come back another day"...that's it! (blank stare). REALLY? Not one person from Autohaus called me before I arrived at 915am ... completely wasted my time. No apology - nothing. Update: (03/4/2015): Finally rec'd a call from Autohaus service manager Chris, the parts for the recalled airbag arrived and it was MY TURN to receive a replacement airbag - finally. I received a report of potential "issues" on my 2003 BMW 330xi which included a "red alert" for another damaged CV Boot. I actually didn't notice this report until yesterday (03/29/2015) when I gave my BMW to my nephew. Would be nice if the "service" managers would complete their service with an exit conversation before you check out and leave ...a little customer service advice Autohaus! And since Autohaus didn't give me warm and fuzzy feelings, I decided to purchase my new $49k 428x drive BMW from Suntrup West County BMW : P read more

By your own admission, you are understaffed to provide the premium level of service that the BMW brand should deliver. Well, I hate to sound like a little princess writing about my BMW dealership, but I can't NOT write about this guys. They are nothing short of wonderful. Maybe you really do just get what you pay for when you fork out the cash to drive one of these little German machines, but I swear, I have never had such fantastic service from a dealership. I got my certified, used car from Autohaus about 5 years ago. Even though the car was used, I had an amazing warranty for the first three years. I never had to pay for anything I had done. Not to mention, I really didn't need to have much done on the car. BMW puts their cars through the ringer before giving them that certified status, so really, the car is as good as new. Not only that, the service was always impeccable, even though I wasn't paying. It still is even now that my full warranty has run out. Here's some of the bonuses of using these guys. Everyone there is SO INCREDIBLY NICE. They explain everything to you and they never treat you like you are some dumb girl that has no idea what's happening with her car. They always give you a free rental, even if your car is only in the shop for the day. If you are there for a short period, the waiting room is stocked with free snacks, soda, juice, water. There is a ton of reading material, a TV, and the chairs (gasp!) are actually comfortable. There have been a few times that the work that needed to be done, well, bled my checkbook a bit, and after explaining my predicament (student, poor, etc.) they worked out ways to lesson the blow. In short, these guys are not your standard mechanics. They are wonderful. If you are in the market for a BMW or a Mini, I highly suggest purchasing through these guys. If you already have one, I highly suggest having it serviced here. The dealership and service shop recently moved further south on Hanley Rd. into a gorgeous new building, but the Mini dealership remains in the old Clayton location right off Ladue Rd. on Maryland. I really just don't have anything negative to say. If I did it would only be about expense, but you are driving a BMW, I mean, did you expect it to be cheap? read more

These guys are good. The two reviews by Amy C. and Amanda Z. might be a bit overzealous, though. I had a great experience taking my M6 there to get serviced. The person handling it was very professional and quick. Plus they had a loaner there for me to drive away (although not a fully tricked out 5-series like Amy C. mentions - it was a bare bones 3 series sedan). Would have given this place 5-stars but I had three issues: 1) I know for a fact I said the "low windshield washer fluid" light had come on, and asked them if they could fix it by adding more fluid. The man handling my situation said "yes" although they never did it. 2) I also asked for my tire pressure to be checked (I had gotten a warning the previous week about one tire), and the windshield washer fluid story above makes me think they glossed over this item as well. 3) I was the only person there when my car was ready, and I must have stood outside for ten minutes waiting for the most junior employee to pull my car around. Either way, I was still impressed. Drove down to St. Louis from Chicago for a weekend. Ended up having an issue with a brand new tire that was installed the previous week at my local BMW dealership. Went to the Autohaus service department first thing Monday morning without an appointment and met with Victor. I explained the situation and that we had to get back to Chicago that night. Victor and his team immediately took my car in, diagnosed the problem, fixed the issue within 30 minutes and had us back on the road. I'll try to keep this as concise as possible but I do feel people deserve to know just how underhanded this dealership is. First off, I acquired two CPO vehicles from this location. I obviously wouldn't have bought the second one if my first experience was terrible, in fact the first car ran perfectly and I encountered no problems as expected of a Certified vehicle. The second time, however, the 2013 335is (32k miles) coupe I purchased was a nightmare. The interior panels were coming undone and there was noticeable fitment issues / rattles with both door panels. Needless to say they tried to fix this but my passenger side door panel kept popping out of place resulting in a headache for me and the service manager. After many visits to the dealership with them seemingly being unable to keep my !?&$ing door from coming apart, I was notified that they found clips and bolts in the door that didn't belong to Autohaus BMW and that it was enough evidence for them to refuse to fix it any further. Hello? I purchased this CERTIFIED vehicle from your location, paying a hefty amount over the vehicle's value, under the pretense that I wouldn't have to worry about problems arising immediately after driving off your lot. I do believe their service manager was the one who told the advisor to refuse service to me because he seemed just as confused over the issue as I was. Nick Guyton was the only redeeming quality to your dealership and as far as I know he later went over to Plaza BMW. If you decide to come here to purchase a vehicle prepare to be treated with absolute dignity and respect until a problem arises. read more
