I had a large flat screen Samsung TV, still nice and about 8 years old, whose picture suddenly went out. The audio still worked fine though. Ironically, it was Best Buy that recommended ANN ARBOR ELECTRONICS & TV as a business that might be able to fix it, and they did!!! It's a straightforward business, cash only, where you bring in your product and they assess (for a fee, that will be applied to the labor costs if fixable) the situation. I had George put some new speakers into a set of old speaker cabinets from the 70s. He did a great…read morejob. The speakers sound great and the service was exactly what it needed to be. Here's what you need to know: 1) George is an interesting dude so prepare for a bit of an experience. Great guy, you just need to depart from the expectation of a traditional business exchange. 2) George works out of his home. It ain't BestBuy. More like Uncle George's garage. Which is totally fine. 3) He opens at 10am and closes at 2pm. You're just gonna have to figure that out. I dropped off and picked up on my lunch break. 4) Call ten minutes before arrival. George is a busy man. No time for surprises or small talk. He's an electrician, not a game show host. 5) Back into the driveway. George prefers it that way. Just do it. 6) George is a bit difficult to understand on the phone. It's not his medium. Get over it. 7) Cash only. Period. 8) He's quick. The garage door opens, you drop off. Leave him a deposit (cash- he don't take Apple Pay and he ain't reading a chip) He calls a couple days later to give you the facts; what's needed, what the cost will be and when to pick up. You back in, garage door opens, check your stuff out, pay the man (greenbacks), take your stuff, garage door closes, you leave. 9) George is a really good dude. He represents a time when a man had a skill and that skill demanded fair pay. I enjoyed paying the man for his work and I appreciate his craft. We need more Georges. 10) Write the man a positive Yelp review. He's the only guy in he area that does this kind of work. While calling around, no one knew where to go. One suggested a guy in Grand Rapids. Someone else suggested a guy in Chicago. There's one George and we got him here in Ann Arbor. Consider yourself lucky. I do. UPDATE: I went in at 5:45 not realizing that they closed at 6:00 (yeah, I was even on the business listing with all their info but didn't process that beforehand) but they (two guys, "Joe" & an older gentleman) gave me 100% of their attention, mainly because I was the only customer in there. Joe looked over my silver bars & rounds, weighed them & re-weighed them. Then weighed them again just to triple-check. This made me nervous because ODD numbers remind me of my darkest days when the ODDS were stacked against me, and all I wanted to do was to get even, get even, get even. Then he weighed my silver once more, for an even four times. Unbelievably, the fourth time the flaccid sack of silver was TWO OUNCES HEAVIER! Upon seeing this, I began to hyperventilate...then the air was getting thinner...the only thought on my mind was heating up dinner...the suspense was making me sick, I pulled my inhaler out to do the trick...but I fainted for just a second it seemed. Suddenly, a homeless guy was pulling my leg...just like I'm doing to you now! 14K asked me what I was trying to get, I gave him a number and he agreed with me. ID in the "system," sign here & here, right thumbprint there, and the cash go here. 12 minutes, in & out, and right at closing time, no less. The guys were friendly & convivial, casual yet professional & honest, they paid me the exact amount agreed upon I would recommend 14k Gold & Coin to cash out your silver bullion. I wouldn't recommend coming in right at closing time, but if you had to I think they would accommodate you. I stand by the initial blind 5-star review that I began with, as they have earned it when judged by all sensible metrics. I've been here before when it was across the street in the smaller location, several years ago, maybe a decade ago. This new location is very well-lit with an easily traversable sidewalk and parking lot out front. Inside is bright, airy, clean, and organized. I've been to a few Pawn Shops/Gold & Coin Stores that were more cluttered & confusing than Sanford & Son's junkyard! No agent of chaos here! Nice looking spot that felt open & serene.

While within the warranty period, 2 of 5 windows started bubbling really bad so I dug up the warranty receipt to claim a warranty repair. I brought the car back and pointed out the windows with bubbles, but also the ones that still had an outstanding tint. Guy started giving me the run around. Something about their billing system being new and they can't find me. He told me I needed more proof on top of the warranty receipt, oh and by the way it would cost extra to remove the bubbling tint, a lot extra...I kindly left and didn't go back.
