I'm so glad that none of the other trainers worked out, because this led me to awesome Yuruani at Dog Liberty LLC. Yuruani is very professional, kind and knowledgeable when it comes to working with dogs. She asked many questions about my dog prior to coming over and we decided to start with the 4 class, in home training package. As soon as she met my 2 years old Pit mix Simba, she knew what needed to be done. She is very caring and attentive and knew how to point Simba to do the right things. I was surprised as to how quick and how well Simba responded to Yuriani. She was also very patient when Simba didn't respond well or gave up. Yuriani is also available for any questions and very flexible when it comes to setting up future sessions. She listened to all the issues I had and we worked on whatever we could during our 4 sessions. It's been a year since Yuri helped us, and I've been able to use everything that she taught me to turn Simba into a better dog. Although there are many things we still need to improve because Simba is a little slow (I still love him). Most importantly, Yuri has taught me ways of understanding and communicating with my dog which I believe is the most important. YURI IS AMAZING!!!…read more It is my pleasure to recommend Yuri and Dog Liberty Dog Training Service. We adopted Rosco, a three year old rescue, back in August 2014. He is a great dog but we realized that he was not completely socialized and he needed some training to help him get use to his new home. While walking through our neighborhood, we saw a very well behaved dog and asked their owner about his great skills. They said they used Yuri and that she had worked miracles with her dog. As soon as we got home, we called Yuri. She came over and met us and Rosco. She really asked detailed questions and worked with Rosco for an hour to see what his needs would be. She developed a comprehensive plan and our weekly sessions began. She also gave us a discount for rescuing a dog - which was unexpected but greatly appreciated. Rosco took to Yuri right away and also responded very quickly to training. He responded so quickly that even Yuri calls him Einstein (ok a little parental bragging here). As we went through our sessions, we quickly realized that there were other needs for Rosco and we were able to change and adjust his plan accordingly. Yuri even got her husband involved when Rosco needed to adjust to being around men. He came over with multiple outfits and disguises just to help Rosco get used to being around. On Rosco's last session, they brought him a framed diploma and took pictures of the proud graduate. We hang his diploma with pride Yuri made herself 100% available to us via email, text or phone. She answered any questions we had. She also recommended a great dog walker for us that we use regularly. She also teaches group classes that we regularly attend to also help with Rosco's socialization - he's doing great and we really do owe Yuri so much. She has an easy going, approachable demeanor. She has an abundant love of dogs. She is very smart and is a great yet adaptable trainer. Your dog will be in great hands with Yuri.

I brought my dogs here and informed them that one of them was coming off of being in heat. She said she understood. She leaves the dogs unsupervised with other dogs in a play pen a the front. My dog was impregnated, which was terrible given she was not even a year old yet. She had never been left alone or even played with boy dogs before this. My vet also gave me a good timeline after the ultrasound, estimating up to the very week she was impregnated, which was the week she went in for grooming. We had to do an emergency c-section and it cost almost 3,000 dollars. When I informed Renata she at first made jokes saying she'd help me take care of the puppies. When I informed her that I wanted her to pay for at least half of the emergency surgery she then suddenly had doubts it happened at her shop. She said she would provide me with video footage proving the dogs were supervised, which she never produced. She said she would show me proof she had no unspayed males that day, which she also never produced. When I finally threatened legal action she asked me to meet her at her shop, she gave me 500 dollars in cash and offered free grooming, but claimed she was doing all of that out of the goodness of her heart but not because she was at fault. Of course I never brought my dogs back to her again. I took the money and did not sue only because she cried about how her husband was sick and that she barely had her rent money. I believe in karma so I let it go. But other people should know what happened. She did not even do a good job grooming my dogs.

It was time to get a summer cut for him. We were referred to Julianna at Pooches for grooming in June. What we wanted was just an all over body 1/4 inch trim, and a puppy face with ear cleaning, sani-trims, and nails. I had emailed prior to ask if the little details were included, and they replied, Yes. I even included little notes in the reservation about what my dog had experience with during grooming. Emily at Pooches was very very nice, responsive, and also very accommodating when we had to reschedule our first appointment. The day came, and our dog went to grooming and utilized the free daycare included with the price. It took about two hours, which didn't seem like the usual 3 hours when he went to our original groomer. When we went to pick him up, we were... shocked nonetheless. He was shaved short all over from first glance. That's fine as it was hot, but we didn't to inspect him more closely as we had to leave. Upon closer look, the notch between his eyes and bridge of his snout was shaved so close to his skin, it was red and we saw naked skin. It looked very out of place. I'm not sure why the sani-trims seemed rush and ears were not cleaned, but we weren't very happy with the way it came out. I'm not sure if we had different expectations from switching groomers, but we were confused as it was a little pricey. I gave the review two stars as the customer service is great, and we did appreciate the daycare inclusion with grooming.
