My husband and I recently discovered (and fell in love with) this chain of restaurants back in our hometown, and decided to try this location while on vacation. The service didn't seem to be as friendly as what we are used to at our local restaurant, but the food was just as good. We went at happy hour with a group of friends, as we wanted to take advantage of the special prices of some of their drinks and appetizers. Happy Hour runs from 4-6:30 at most locations. I got the Blueberry Lemon Drop martini and my husband got the Raspberry Vodka Collins. I loved my drink but I held myself at just one. My husband really liked his and he had no problem putting away TWO! For an appetizer we got the Crispy Cod Sliders and we split an order of their Bang Bang Shrimp and the Crab Crusted Cod. We both loved the cod sliders (they are so nice and crispy) and the Bang Bang Shrimp, but we both felt that the Crab Crusted Cod lacked something.......it was good, but not quite as good as Kate's North Atlantic Haddock that we recently had at our local restaurant. My mother had no problems with her meal, but every thing I ordered from my drink to my meal, everything was out. I ordered a cherry coke, they're all out. I ordered the special, a filet and cold water lobster tail, which was also all out. I had requested Seasonal vegetables for my side, and they were all out! We absolutely love Bonefish! Have eaten at them in several states. Have never had a bad meal. Ate at this one March 2, 2020, and again, the food was so good. The only issue we had this particular night was with our server, Candice M. My husband had ordered a bowl of corn chowder with crab. When he got it, it was barely warm. He called the waitress to our booth and told her it was barely warm, and said, "here feel the bottom of the bowl, it's not even warm. ". She replied, in a somewhat condescending tone, "oh the bowl is not going to be warm. I'll take it and re=heat it for you tho." Anyplace we have ever eaten soup, the bowl is usually HOT to the point of the server warning you to be careful, that the bowl is very hot! In fact, we heard another server say this very thing to the people in the booth behind us. When she brought his soup back, the bowl was HOT! Whenever you tell someone that you've never dined at Bonefish grill, the immediate response is followed by some sort of facial muscular spasm with dilated pupils and a long, audible gasp. The next statement is always "You have to get the bang-bang shrimp". I've still never dined in, and only had takeout. I ordered with a group, and enjoyed the bang-bang shrimp and calamari as appetizers. Although, the shrimp was fried and fresh, with some nice sauces on the side, I don't think I quite understand the infatuation people have with this dish. The calamari was bland; but, that's usually the case, and that's what sauces are for. Both entrees of sea scallops & shrimp, and salmon were pretty good. Again, a lot of the flavor relies heavily on the sauces. It's not down-home-cooking... it's not celebrity chef fare....it's just fresh, and sometimes that's enough. Now, my bone to pick with this particular location is, oddly enough, going to be for their beverages. Actually, it's just one beverage. Sweet Tea. We are in the South. I'm not really expecting a national chain restaurant to serve diabetes-in-a-cup, but could you at least put some sugar in the tea? Bad experience on Sat. 10/27/18. wife and I took friends to dinner for their anniversary. I ordered a special, Gnocchi thermador w/lobster & shrimp in cream sauce. Lots of luck finding even a reasonable piece of lobster in this dish. Wife ordered her usual Pecan crusted trout. Came out Overcooked and dry, maybe from sitting under the heat lamps waiting for our server to deliver ? I submitted payment with a $10 discount coupon. $125.00 bill. Left a very reasonable cash tip. This service was terrible every time, and the food is way overpriced for what you are offered. My wife ordered a filet and the first time it came out I thought it was a thin sirloin. We've been twice on a Tuesday night when they have a pretty amazing dinner special: salad, entree and dessert for $14.90. I've had the tuna bowl each time and love it. We also add the bang bang shrimp for $6. It's worth it. We went at the end of happy hour and snuck in a few discounted drinks. Tip! Sit in the bar. It's first come, first served and you won't wait in the ridiculous line. Okay so this was a hit or miss... Some of the items were very good and the others were dry and bland or needed more cheese and more truffles. I was disappointed in the macaroni and cheese. I love truffle macaroni and cheese but this one either truffles or cheese. The Seabass was good when added a little extra oil on top to moist it. Caesar salad way too much pepper, but over all it was a good size and tasted good. The side peas was overcooked put the broccoli was perfect. Over all I noticed this place was featured by middle age white people that enjoy bland food. My friends and I were wearing Summer dresses and the waitstaff wouldn't stop staring. I had never been to Bonefish Grill before, so this was certainly an exciting experience. Their speciality, grilled fish, is indeed cooked to perfection. We ordered the tuna (medium rare was absolutely delicious), the rainbow trout, and the seasonal scallops with all the sauces on the side. I must say the scallops were particularly memorable and juicy with a buttery, but not overwhelming glaze. And the bang bang shrimp appetizer was amazing! It blended spicy, creamy, and crunchy fried shrimp in a innovative and mouth-watering way. I was a little disappointed by the vegetables, however. I understand that the focus should be on the seafood, but the green beans and broccoli we ordered were sub-par, somewhat flavorless, and a bit undercooked. The seasonal garnish of zucchini was excellent, though. We were greeted by a classy, but relaxed ambiance and a very knowledgeable server. It was a great time overall! read more

My beef with them is that Thursday night we ate at the bar and it's a little dark. I had shrimp and scallops that came with two sides. I got aspragas and a side salad. So they charged me 3.50 for 4 spears aspragas and charged me for a side salad. I don't like the unknown of getting my check with additional charges that I was not made aware of. Went there Friday night with some friends and family. We had called two days earlier to make a reservation, which we actually changed two times (more people were joining us). Would definitely recommend making reservations if you are going during their prime time because they were extremely busy. With the reservation, we were seated immediately. Service was a little slow, but that it to be expected when they are packed. But food was great as always. My favorite is the Chilean Sea Bass. I like to have the sauce on the side.
