    Yummy Tidewater Burger
    Andi M.

My husband and I visited Tidewater Grill one evening when visiting NMB with family. We arrived before our reservation, and the hostess accommodated us. They are smallish inside, but they do have a patio that seats more. We lucked out with one of their few booths. My husband had the Tidewater Burger (with bacon and chili), and I had the Jumbo Lump Crabcake sandwich. We opted for onion rings and coleslaw as our sides. His burger was perfectly medium-rare, and was loaded with lots of toppings! My crabcake was on the thinner side, but full of lump crab meat, and I enjoyed the remolaude. The onion rings were very crispy. The coleslaw was simple, yet good as well. We enjoyed our meal, and will likely return if we are in the mood for a burger the next time we are in town.

Don't be turned away by its location in a strip mall shopping type building because this is a must stop location. I got the feel it was more a local loved joint, which is what we strive for on beach vacations! First, The decor inside is super welcoming and clean feeling! I loved the wall paper and tiling on the floor. Our food was sooooo good. Started with grouper bites that fell apart so tenderly and the dipping sauce was superb. I would go back again and again just to get the grouper bites! I ordered a lobster roll which was stuffed to the gill, perfection. My husband ordered the fried flounder plate which he said was also good. A highlight was my blood orange martini and my husband's mojito. Both A+ The service is ok here, our waiter was also the bartender so he had to be quick and to the point but was also very friendly and did an excellent job doing both roles on a busy night. Overall, the food makes this joint a must go!!

Tidewater Grill is a small local North Myrtle Beach restaurant. Seating is limited because of the size, but it wasn't too busy when we were there. We made reservations because there were seven in our party. They have a small but diverse menu. My daughters both ordered 1/2 pound burgers and fries. I had seared scallops and substituted cheese grits for the dirty rice. Others in our group ordered fried flounder, fried shrimp and a ravioli (one of their specials of the day). Everything was delicious and portion sizes were just right. It was also decorated in a cute way for the holidays. This is a good place to dine especially if you have a group wanting a seafood restaurant that also offers delicious alternatives to the normal seafood cuisine.

So usually our favorite place but not last night not so much. None of our dishes were good. We ate a little and tossed the rest. So disappointed! And our waiter never asked if everything was ok. It was not! So disappointed! Waiter had no clue. We won't be back. Too bad!!

We had a big party in the back room for Christmas and it was fabulous! The waitresses were amazing, friendly and fast. The food was delicious and everyone loved their meal. I had the black and blue salad with shrimps and the dressing was just as good as it looks. The shrimps were grilled perfectly and the chucks of blue cheese were delicious and fresh.

Let me start by saying staff is super friendly and welcoming, which is a huge plus. You are also able to make reservations in advance if you are so inclined. Inside is decorated now contemporary yet laid back environment. Our meals were the disappointing part of the evening. We ordered the onion rings and the fried calamari to start with. They looked promising, but within 30 seconds of sitting on the table, the batter completely fell off both. So we just had onion laying there, and on the other platter rings of calamari, surrounded by the breading and pepperoncini's. They were overdone and quite chewy. Barely ate any before the server came around and asked if we were done and I took away the dishes. For our dinner order we ordered the ribeye medium rare, which actually was quite tasty with a delicious char on the outside. Also a bacon cheeseburger with pimento cheese on the side, which was also very good. The chicken Parmesan was terrible and small with barely any sauce and the noodles just were not what was expected. Also ordered a shrimp Poboy sandwich, which was overly salty with barely any sauce. Dry and almost inedible. Overall, a very disappointing meal.

Stopped here after a long day of road tripping. Small and cozy place at the end of a strip mall. You would never expect such a delish place looking at it from the outside, but it did not disappoint! I sat at the bar with some locals and was served right away. I started with a maple old fashioned and it was tasty! For dinner I ordered a side salad and the shrimp and grits. The salad was so fresh and had a super yummy house made dressing. For my main I ordered the shrimp and grits. The menu said it had a chef's twist to it and it sure did! It had seasoned shrimp and smoked sausage pieces and a sauce like jambalaya. So good!! Reasonable prices and very clean restaurant. Def recommend!!

Food: 5 Customer Service: 5 Ambience: 5 Location/ Parking: 5 Cleanliness: 5 Reservations: NA This American restaurant is situated in the heart of a semi-urban North Myrtle Beach area. We decided to grab some lunch here a few weeks ago, while we were visiting the Myrtle Beach area. This is a small restaurant with a small parking lot. The staff was very friendly and quickly got us a table upon our arrival. Our waiter was very professional and gave us some popular recommendations. Our meals came out very fast and everything was seasoned very well. Overall experience was great, and I'm sure that we will return for another visit soon.

Went here today. They had special restaurant week menu. 4 courses for 35.00 per person. All food was delicious. I had grilled thai shrimp, caesar salad, and blackened salmon, and my wife had fried green tomatoes and chicken alfredo. We took desserts home of bread pudding and cheese cake with blueberries. Service was quick and efficient. We made reservations and we had our choice of booth or table.plenty of seating. Comfortable atmosphere. They have a full service bar with seating at bar available. Parking normally fills up quickly

We went on a Thursday night which is probably less busy than a Friday or Saturday night. We sat inside this time and we started with some fried green tomatoes which had blue cheese sauce on top. I actually loved it better than the usual aoili most places serve with FGT. I got the ribeye this time, medium rare and some creamed spinach. My steak was prepared as requested. Flavorful and delicious. The creamed spinach was also good. My entrée did come with a salad as well. I had the Ceasar which came with a flaky, buttery mini croissant. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his burger. Last but not least, I ordered the molten chocolate cake. Sadly, I was a bit disappointed as the molten part was really only some thick chocolate sauce on top of a slightly warmed (maybe via microwave) chocolate cake. The place was exactly as I remembered it. Service was quick and friendly and even though we were seated inside, we still had a great view of the marina and some parts of the water. I will always come back to Clark's for steak next time I am back in the area.

UPDATE:Two friends and I recently ate dinner at Clark's. The setting is beautiful, but…read moreunfortunately the food left much to be desired. We started with the crab dip appetizer and the bacon-wrapped scallops. The crab dip was just okay, while the scallops had such a heavy bacon flavor that you could not taste the scallops themselves. We also tried the she-crab soup, which wasn't anything special, although the clam chowder was very good. My friends ordered chicken sandwiches and were satisfied with them. I chose the entrée salad with shrimp and hot bacon dressing, and it was awful. I definitely won't order it again. The "hot bacon dressing" didn't have even a smidgen of bacon in it -- it was basically flavored water. The service was fine, but overall the food was disappointing.

**Ghost Tour & Dinner Experience** This was one of the most bizarre and unprofessional dining…read moreexperiences I've ever had. My mom and sister and I visited from Charleston and planned a trip to Little River specifically to have dinner at The Brentwood and take their ghost tour. The entire evening though was one disappointment after another: from the food to the service to the "ghost tour". Dinner was chaotic before it even began. The menu was changed multiple times by head cook Steve...first the chicken was unavailable, then it was duck, then suddenly chicken Marsala, then back to chicken Caprese. My sister and I went with the chicken caprese and our mom the short ribs. When we finally did get our meals, the chicken dish looked NOTHING like what was described and it was NOT good. It was almost like they just took whatever extra ingredients they had in the kitchen and threw it together to make some type of a chicken pasta dish. They were literally giving away additional plates of it to the other diners during the ghost tour experience for free. My sister and I both left our plates mostly untouched, and our server Lorena didn't ask a single question about why two entrées went back almost full. For the price, it was disappointing to leave hungry. Dessert didn't help either...no one around us finished theirs. And then there was the ghost tour. To call it a "tour" is generous...and it was somehow even worse than dinner. It started with reality TV clips from different ghost hunting show that we could've watched online for free. After that, our guide Steve (yes, the same person who cooked our dinner) led us on what was maybe a 15-minute walk while repeating the same stories multple times he'd already told us earlier in the evening. He seemed extremely disheveled and under the influence of something. His Levi's boxers were literally hanging out of his jeans the entire time. It was unprofessional and uncomfortable. When the "tour" ended, we didn't even bother sticking around to explore the historic property. We were over it. We ended up talking with another couple who had driven in (like us) to celebrate their anniversary, and they were just as disappointed and confused by the whole experience as we were. I absolutely would not recommend this restaurant or the ghost tour to anyone in its current state.
