I love this place. This is my favorite place on the N Myrtle Beach ocean front. It has the best beach vibes. The service is always very good. And their happy hour menu is the bomb. My husband and I went there for happy hour every day for a week. They make the best adult drinks, all of their food is delicious - everything from the seafood, do the burgers, to the salad, to the sushi.

Yummy! My daughter and I arrived around noon and were able to sit at the sushi counter. I got crab cakes with fries, and a grilled cheese for my baby. The crab cake was very good, hardly any fillers! & a simple thing, but these style fries are some of my favorite! My daughter enjoyed her grilled cheese and it even came with some Oreos. Service wasn't super fast (got my margarita at the same time as my food), but it was good nonetheless! There is outside seating as well as inside. Not sure if we would come back with the whole family, because the space felt cramped. Highly recommend the crab cakes though!

Man, I really wanted to love this place. It has such potential, but unfortunately must be a hit or miss. I visited because of a recommendation from host when I was in town at the beginning of the month. Pros: There is a lot out outside and inside sitting. During your estimated wait time for your table there is a large jenga set and connect four that makes the time entertaining. If you come right before 5, you'll be able to snag free public parking, If not, you'll have to pay. Live music with good cover songs. Cons: We waited over 30 minutes for our food after being sat. (Which wouldn't be a problem if the food was worth it) I ordered the simply shrimp platter, the coastal combo, kid popcorn shrimp, California sushi roll, and salmon sushi roll. When they brought our food to the table, they forgot the sushi. This was someone's complete meal at the table. Our guest sat with no food and after no waitress attending our table. I had to get up and request her. She said she would check on it. After about 8 minutes I walked inside to inquire what was going on. At this point our table had been sitting with their food for about 15 mins. The coastal combo was cold. You could tell the blackened plate had been sitting out before we received it. They did not eat it. Finally our waitress said that unfortunately there was a long wait and many orders ahead of us due to why the sushi did not arrive. I asked to speak to manager and a guy named Maddox spoke to us. He apologized and said that they did not make the sushi and this restaurant and hired a third company party to do so?!? He explained that there was only one staff member from that company there that day and that is why we did not receive it. It's been 40 mins at this point and still no sushi. I explained that the coastal combo was cold and we did not want to replace it. Maddox brought the sushi out finally with a little bit of salmon in it. Nothing else. Was rude when I said it didn't compensate for the issues. We ended up having the sushi took off, however our guest still paid for the cold combo! He refused to remove it even with it not being ate, because it sat on our table that long due to them. The fried shrimp was the only item worth consuming. I was shocked .....

Always a great time here! Large restaurant with fun decor and friendly service. Our food came out quick and tasted great. I got the Simply Shrimp platter (blackened) and it was huuuge and delish. I also got a mud slide drink on the side which was absolutely everything I dreamed of!

Even on a Friday evening in February, the vibe was so upbeat and chill. There was live music which added to the ambience. Our waiter was very personable and attentive. We were able to play jenga while we waited for our food. Our group really enjoyed our food and we had a great time!

    Peel and Eat Shrimp

Really cool spot with great happy hour specials. I'd say the peel and eat shrimp and 85 cent happy hour oysters were definitely the highlights. My recommendation here would be to probably stick to the seafood offerings. I wasn't a big fan of the pork sliders or wings. Aside from the food, service and ambiance were both exceptional. Buoys On The Boulevard is definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. Go ahead and give this place a try!

    Crab balls & hush puppies
    Tammi M.

Tried this place from a local recommendation and it was everything a seafood loving, landlocked girl like me needed. The crab balls were juicy and delicious. Wasn't really a fan of the cinnamon whip for the hush puppies but that's why it's on the side Also had seafood trio; blackened shrimp, fish &fried oysters . . . Even the coleslaw was good! Server was super attentive and she had a lot of large tables to wait on. If you're in NMB, definitely go to Bouy's!

When visiting for a family beach trip, we decided to try this beloved seafood buffet. Along the strip in Myrtle Beach, the roads are lined with a plethora of Seafood Buffets ranging from small family owned to large attraction-like restaurants. Without having tried any of the other options, I would say this has to be the best in town. The atmosphere, staff, variety of food offerings, and taste were unmatched. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a unique buffet experience. The exterior of this restaurant is massive and felt like a large Shopping Center with beautiful landscaping, water features, beautiful windows, and colorful siding. Upon arrival, we were asked at the door our party size. They had two entry lines based on table sizes. Since our party was four, we were sent to the shorter line and did not even have to wait to be seated. As we were walked to our table, we passed massive sailing ships complete with rows of hot and cold foods. The ceiling was reminiscent of the ocean skies. The entire restaurant felt like an experience already. I was amazed by the theming, cleanliness, and attention to details. For adults, the buffet is right around $50/person + drinks and tax. The buffet is all-you-can-eat with mutiple serving lines placed around the vast dining hall. As a picky eater, I was honestly a little worried that the offerings would primarily be seafood options; however, I was happily surprised that the buffet line had a LARGE selection ranging from Chicken Tenders and Fries to Pulled Pork and Macaroni and Cheese. I was actually very excited to find so many of my favorite foods and be able to eat just a little of them all! Some other offerings I added to my plate include hush puppies, corn on the cob, fried fish sticks, rolls, and cheddar biscuits all in one trip. My brother is more adventurous in his selection and was able to try different fish and crab legs with multiple trips. They had almost two whole buffet areas filled with seafood dishes that I didn't even visit. His favorite was just the shrimp! They also have a whole dessert room with a wide range of sweet dishes. To be honest, some of the food was mediocre or tasted similar to standard buffet-food-quality. The macaroni was a little bland. The fries were a little soggy. However, the restaurant was so busy that food was being rotated and changed out quickly on the buffet line. Overall, the entire experience was fun and unique. The restaurant was very expensive for a family of four, especially when you're not eating over the top or making multiple trips; however, the nautical theming, food selections, and service set this buffet apart from many others. You'll find something to eat whether you're picky or love the most adventurous of seafood dishes.

They always want to sit in the Raccoon Cove bar out back, which has a great fireplace for cold nights and a food stand that brings the local raccoons by for dinner. You can also watch them from the sunroom-style dining room if you'd rather stay inside. The indoor decor is fun too (Ace Ventura would call it a lovely room of death) with all the animal trophies on the walls. The pork ribeye over sweet potato mash isn't going to win any beauty contests, but don't judge that book by its cover because it was very tender and delicious. It's definitely a new favorite! The Steak Au Poivre is another one with a sauce that elevated an already well-cooked (but not well-done!) steak. My wife's Seafood Alfredo was wonderful, including the bites she let me steal, and the Lowcountry chowder was excellent. Her other favorites are the Filet Neptune and the Mahi-Mahi. The Thai BBQ ribs are also a big hit with the family, but somehow I still haven't gotten to try one. Next time. This is the "good" Joe's. They don't serve hamburgers here, but they do know how to cook a steak. The food is excellent, the service has always been good, and they've nailed the local upscale-casual restaurant and bar vibe. The only real downside is the tiny parking lot. You can park at the ice cream place too (overflow lot), but Joe really needs to make friends with the beachwear megastore next door because their back lot always seems to have plenty of empty spaces!
