This was my first time coming to this bar, and I had parked at the building next door, which you can be towed for by the way. The entrance is easily missed because it used to be a drive thru entrance. The inside is pretty dark, and there are large screens all over if you want to watch sports. Oh man.... Giving this place two stars would be too generous as there was no intrigue to this place whatsoever. Bartenders who cater to their known regulars and clientele first. Which is fine, but when they will literally ignore other people to continue to just talk to the regulars they know.... Not cool and not a good vibe. Honestly, for me the vibe of the place is sort of sketch. The music is freaking loud, like almost obnoxiously loud. You could get stabbed here and cry for help and no one would know because they can't even hear you, and if they did, they'd probably be too busy catering to the "regulars" to even care. Oh Boneheadz. So I went to Boneheadz a few days ago with some friends of mine when we felt like going somewhere different. I've been to Boneheadz a couple of times and every time it's hilarious fun. The reason being is that the bar is small and intimate so when you go with friends it feels like it's you're bar alone. The drink specials aren't too bad either. I got a pint of Shinerbock for $3 and it was definitely after happy hour. The bar itself is actually spacious for how small the property is. After you walk through the patio in the front you'll notice there's not only a main floor but an balcony area for even better conversations. The best thing about the place, in my opinion of course, is the jukebox. Let me tell you, once you've got yourself in front of that jukebox you'll discover that it's not a normal one. We unloaded a good amount of dollars and listened to our favorite Radiohead songs and even a Portishead song, and if you know who Portishead is you'll realize this is pretty big. In conclusion...go to Boneheadz. OH, also...Mama Margies is right around the corner. I'm just saying. 2 am tacos. read more

Over the years Boneheadz has gotten a little nicer looking yet with same clientele. Ultimately, nothing has changed over the last 6 years. The bartenders are still hit and miss. If there is a guy bartender, he is likely hitting on the girl bartender and making you wait to pay your bill. This isn't your fine dining establishment or your Stone Oak upscale meat market. It's just Boneheadz with relatively cheap booze, common folk and strippers hanging out. Don't expect to pick anything up here as it's mostly groups of friends just hanging out. Best damn dive bar on the Northside. The drinks are priced well the bartenders are good and they have a nice little upstairs area no one ever seems to go up to so you can have a little seclusion if thats what you want. The patio is big and it is right next to el taco tote so if you get hungry BAM! Tacos! The only down sides is the place is definitely a regulars first type of bar and it is also hard to get a drink sometimes because everyone is hitting on the hot bartenders all the time lol. read more

Yo, what the hell happened to this place? I used to have such a great time at this place back in the day. I mean, even by "dive bar standards", this place used to rock! Now... now, it's a breeding ground for douche bags and stripper hags. Depending on what you initially order, the bartenders seem to ignore you from that point on. I read a review stating that the male (either he was a bartender or the manager), seemed to be only interested in flirting with the female bartenders and completely ignoring the customers and it was completely SPOT ON! We were in a group of four (two male, two females) and we were just as invisible as the jukebox!! When a group of women walked in though (the first had 2 women, the second had 3), they were as attentive as a junkie in a methadone clinic. I'm not even gonna play the dreaded "race card" here, but let's just say the staff seemed to favor the... how shall I phrase it, "pigmentally challenged" crowd.
