Mcfinnigans is still the GOAT! They got a new kitchen and literally cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. The pictures speak for themselves. Currently the kitchen operated Wednesday-Sunday FYI I went on a Monday and it was closed. The service at the bar is great it's all really depends if they're busy or not. The ambiance is chill it's a place that fosters something for people do all ages. The wings are my absolute favorite here they were so good I didn't get a picture, clearly the phone didn't eat first. Considering the bad inflations we have been having I'm glad it's still an affordable bar with good drinks. I appreciate not having to pay $10-15 dollars for a cocktail like most places now. read more

Awesome neighborhood bar off blanco and lockhill Selma. Irish pub feels. Always a good lively environment. Their food there also pretty good. From basic bar food to more. Great place to catch the game on or for a ufc fight or boxing match. Definitely need to check them out if you have not. read more

This is an unassuming local bar. You might think that it is local-centric but....the staff is so nice, they make you feel welcome. Good pricing, and the food exceeds expectations. Think of it as a really nice bar with a great food truck in a side window. A hidden gem. Recommend the Buffalo shrimp and sliders. read more

Went here August 21st 2023 served by Bartender Norma. If you value cleanliness, hospitality, communication and sanity. DO NOT GO HERE. And I will tell you exactly why. Let's go through this chronologically. Looked up places that have fish and chips and saw this bar close to me and decided, hey, looks like a good Irish dive bar so the food should be incredible. Pulled up and didn't see any signage indicating that they were open as a bar or kitchen and decided to just try the door. Luckily they were open! Once I walked in, I went right up to the bar and waited for the bartender to greet me but she was busy with the only two other people that were in there and a new guest was clearly not a priority. Once she finally greeted me it wasn't anything special and was far below basic standards. Essentially just a, hi what can I get you. No ID check, no heads up that the kitchen is closed and I was met with an attitude that projected annoyance to have to serve more people. Nonetheless I said hello and asked what Hefeweizen was on tap. The bartender responded with what I can only describe as a deer in the headlights look followed by a rude, what? I repeated myself nicely and she maintained her response then said, do you mean domestic? Defeated and demoralized I just said no, uh just light beer. She thankfully told me what light beers were available. I said great, do y'all do just pints or do you do steins? She responded with, I don't know what a stone is but we do mugs. I said alright let's do two mugs of corona. Got the "mugs" and requested to make an order for fish and chips. She said, oh the kitchen is closed. Frustrated at this point, I said ok, how much for the beers? She closed me out and I went to walk onto the patio to smoke and attempt to enjoy my drink. Walked over and no surprise, the patio door was locked. Walked back to the bar and waited for her to stop talking with the other two guests and asked her if there was a smoking area. She said oh yeah I forgot to unlock it. She unlocked it and I went outside. Once outside I realized that my "mug" was riddled with tajin salt. Oddly enough, I didn't order tajin salt. And it wasn't on the rim. It was on the entire glass so clearly they either didn't wash the glass or washed it so poorly that it managed to cling to the glass then failed to check if they were clean before serving them. I set my already paid for beer down, and left. I'd rather lose the money I had spent on that beer than deal with this bar any longer. So, with all of that said, if you value cleanliness, hospitality, communication and sanity. DO NOT GO HERE. Also, if your kitchen is closed, have it posted online. If not online, then on the front door or signage out front. If not there, have whoever is on staff that greets your guests inform you during the greeting. I've worked in the industry for years. The things wrong with this place are basic standards that any place should be able to meet. The fact that basic standards were not met, makes me wonder how and why this place is even open. read more

Went here the other night and came across a fake blond bartending with a shit attitude. She should be working at a liquor store not serving drinks with that attitude. I was buzzed but I was treated extremely unfairly I bought everyone a shot because I was celebrating. I was met with a hostile environment I was called a cop by the bouncer. I just wanted to make conversation and I was made to feel like a creep and someone that didn't belong. I spent 120$ for the worst bar experience. I will be contacting who ever is in charge to let them know what happened. I just tried to make friends and i was met with nothing but a uncomfortable environment and a hostile experience I was more than willing to leave but at the same time I was not given the opportunity to defend myself. to at least say I wasn't trying to cause a disturbance. I was having a great time after running the rock and roll marathon when we were kicked out for my partner being intoxicated, but the issue was, he wasn't. I want sure how the bartender came to that conclusion. We were sitting at the bar, sharing articles when he left to the restroom. As soon as he left, she came by and said she was going to cut him off. It felt unwarranted and malicious. I've purposely stayed away from this place and hadn't been there for a few months. My wife and I had a bad experience with a bartender that caused us to stay away. So when a friend suggested we go by I was a bit leery. But I told myself maybe this person was having a bad day and if not how long would a business owner keep someone around that was rude to customers. So we went and as soon as I walked to the bar this same bar tender walked up took my order in the rudest way possible. Ordering a round of 6 beers shouldn't ruin her day. Her tone and attitude was as if I was bothering her. And when made a comment and I asked her to repeat herself she walked away. Not sure what her problem is, it's not my fault she is overweight, short, and I didn't make her dye her hair that bad shade of red. I'm sorry I am Mexican American, have a beautiful wife and a little money to buy my friends beer. And if she is so unhappy maybe she shouldn't be in the service industry. Several members of my group noticed her bad behavior. Other than this awful person the bar is nice and the crowd is chill and without any knuckleheads. Beer prices are cheap with a nice selection and they allow food from the restaurants next door. They had a really good two man cover band that will get you singing along. But I won't be back. In my limited experience this spot tends to be frequented by a lot of loud, trashy people but I also only typically come here to watch fights, what can ya do? Synopsis: It's a good neighborhood bar, they keep the place clean, have never seen the inside or bathroom gross like a lot of other bars. Reasonable drink prices. Free UFC fights with lots of televisions. They let you bring food in or get delivered and are surrounded by lots of places to order from. They have a patio for smokers to do their thing and still drink, there's a TV on the patio also. If ya want your drink order fast and to deal with a courteous human order from the bearded red headed bar tender. Due to location I tend to come here to watch UFC fights which are free, though I think they raise the drink prices a bit, as well they should, renting those fights is expensive. We stopped by for happy hour and the prices were great. Everyday of the week they have specials. The atmosphere is casual and the bartender was very friendly and knowledgable. There were large TV's through out the bar which made it easy to watch Sports Center. We will be back! read more

My boyfriend and I are avid football fans and went up during football season. They have the ticket and open early for the noon games. Most weeks the owner cooks free food for everyone. I really like how the bar is set up and it's way cleaner then when it was Blanco Tavern. Other then Sundays we've been a few times and have gotten to know some of the regulars.
