After inheriting the meadow property in May of 2012 we were excited to begin the building process. We approached G&S Construction about building on our lot and were immediately impressed with Garrick Terrell's professional attitude and astute knowledge of building in the Tahoe area. We submitted our house plans to him for a bid and when we met to discuss the plans Garrick brought us a very detailed "spec sheet" on materials, construction, and costs. After our meeting with Garrick we knew we found someone we could trust and work well with. We encountered some hurdles as we were trying to obtain a building allocation though the CTC land bank. Garrick was instrumental in helping us submit our plans to the city and assisted us with expediting the building allocation process. Without his effort we would have never started to break ground before the October first deadline. Garrick also assisted us with other city agency issues which saved us a lot of money. I did my due diligence and spoke to several sub-contractors, city employees, and local handymen and all of them highly recommended Garrick. My project was started during the time when inflation was creeping up, supply chain issues were abundant, the Caldor fire happened in the the middle of the permitting process and the worst winter storm in 40 plus years was challenging our completion time. Garrick navigated all these issues like a Pro. His experience and expertise really showed up when we needed it the most and that is when we knew we had the right man for our complex job! Garrick gave us great suggestions and recommendations that paid off big time. When building a custom home all kinds of details come into play and Garrick walked us through the details we missed and gave us good solid options to resolve the various issues. It's been a year since we moved into our new house and it was so nice and refreshing to know that anytime we had questions or issues Garrick would respond quickly to make sure we were taken care of. Several days of scraping, sealing and priming paid off. The process was flawless. Bill is a great communicator, keeping me apprised of the schedule at every point.
