The first visit I met 5 different people and no one introduced themselves except for the doctor. Someone,?, an older lady, came in to give a shot and backed my dog into a corner and leaned over him without even talking to him first. Another tech ? Joined in to lean over him in the corner. Not cool. He's not a biter, but that would have been the time. Second visit, different tech? No name. Took him out of the room, ok. Came back and said a cleaning would be 800$-1000$. After the doctor came in, it dropped a few hundred. Took him to Dr. Mireles in Frisco, who we had seen before. The cleaning without the bloodwork was $391. The bloodwork was not mandatory. Super clean and new office. Take your pally there!

~Denison, TX~ Let…read moreme start right out of the gate. My 2 little girl dogs behave HORRIBLY. I mean down right awful. I've had them about 7 years. They are sisters from a different mister. Someone chose to put them out on the side of the road with an open dog crate. My daughter and I fed and watered them for 3 weeks. They would not get near us. The crate was in horrible condition. It was winter time and we couldn't catch them. We bought insulation, and wrapped the plastic crate in it. Then we bought a trap to wrap the dog crate in. Added blankets for warmth. The crate was the only security they both knew. We then taped a sign on it to contact us if they caught them. We checked on them, morning, noon, and night. We even started just going there, and sitting with them. They HATED us. To cut the story short, we caught them. One of them tried to bite me. They were mean. I brought the crate home. I put it in my backyard on the patio. They loved that crate. I would bring it inside at night. They would both sleep in it with the door removed. Finally we won, and they love us. We were able to finally throw the crate away, once they stopped going into it. Their hair was so matted when we found them it was making sores on them. When I took them to the vet for shots and grooming, someone paid for their grooming. It was $120 each dog for grooming. They were so horrible they had to put them to sleep just to groom them. They had sores all over from their hair being matted. I started trying different grooming places. Waxahachie, Red Oak, Ovilla, Sherman, my house, some ladies home that did grooming. HORRIBLE dogs. I bought a grooming table. I spent $300 on professional grooming shears. I knew I could do this at home. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE dogs. I could not groom these wild dogs. But I couldn't let them get matted either. I finally talked to a vet about putting them on anxiety or sleeping pills. Something to make them calm for grooming.! A friend suggested Big Dog Little Dog in Denison, Texas. Brian stepped up to the challenge. Brian is the ONLY person who agreed with me they are not good dogs. I admitted they are HORRIBLE. Brian is also the ONLY one who has worked with me to adjust their medication. I needed someone who could be honest with me to help these dogs. Everyone here is very knowledgeable, personable, and gets it. My dogs are HORRIBLE. My vet here in Denison, is very aware of who I am using for grooming. Brain tells me if they need more or less medication. I can reply to my vet what they need. Brian took them on and has continued to help me with them. He keeps notes, I never have to tell him how to groom them. I try to keep their haircut short because they love to run in the lake. These two girls Dixie and Trixie have grown personality wise. They now trust again. They love to travel in the car back and forth from Texas to Oklahoma. They know when I get their life vest out, they are going in the boat. They go crazy with excitement. I was always stressed out as to where to take my dogs next for grooming. This is the place. Brian is very loyal to his customers. He truly loves ALL dogs. His communication skills are remarkable. I can drop them off and finally be worry free. The place is clean, with plenty of employees. I am elated with how my girls look when they get home. I have to say, I have had the exact opposite experience of the other review. Dr. Katie is a very…read morestraightforward person, but she is also insanely knowledgeable and has legitimately saved my horses life THREE TIMES! My mare just will not drink water when she's eating hay and just a few days ago she had a bout with very severe impaction colic. We had her transported to Hayes Equine (they have someone on call to assist with transport) and Dr. Katie kept her for two nights to make sure the impaction fully resolved. She also gave us some tips and tricks to get her to drink more during the winter. My husband usually helps Dr. Katie with whatever needs to be done to our mare, because she can be pretty bad with the vet, and he has never had any issues working with Dr. Katie. When our mare had colic the time before, Dr. Katie actually cancelled her other appointments to make a farm call at our home. If you're looking for someone to spend extra time with YOU, holding your hand and comforting you, Dr. Katie is busy! She is there to help your HORSE. Everyone in the area knows she's the best, so she has to be thorough but quick. The office staff here have always been friendly to us and I feel the prices are more than fair for the service provided. I'm honestly very grateful to Dr. Katie and her staff for saving my beloved senior mare and giving me extra time with her.

I wish she was even adequate enough since she is the closest equine vet around, but I will & do drive miles and miles to never use her again. NEVER! I will say that I did say that I would never use her once before several years ago and then used her for a simply procedure last year that one of my older horses needed on a holiday and guess what, my horse before getting him back in the trailer was at deaths door of what she did to him. She even said "you know, he propably won't make it through the night" She is COLD and only money driven. She charged me several++ hundreds of dollars because of all the meds he now needed because of what SHE DID to him. I can and will confidently say I WILL NEVER EVER have her touch a horse of mine again. Looking back my horses where NEVER EVER diagnosed correctly and what ever she did and or did not do cost my horses so much more pain and me more money. I believe with ALL MY HEART that is her plan.
