My eyebrows came out perfect honestly. I got them threaded by the way. Furthermore the girl took her time on my eyebrows which I loved don't really like people being in a rush. Even though while she was doing my eyebrows like 5 customers walked in, and she took her time. I don't know what has happened recently, but the service has gone way downhill the past couple of months. The usual employees haven't been there and they have new/untrained threaders. I travel 45 minutes once a month for facial threading. April and May's visits were horrible. I won't be going back. read more

I just moved here from Orlando. I used to get my brows threaded every few weeks...finally found this place and went in. I wish I never did. Cash only. I had to visit the atm, get out a 20 plus the added atm fees and prob bank fees... The lady was nice enough...we had pleasant convo during threading...but it hurt bad. I have a high pain tolerance so I somehow sat through it...i wish I didn't. I was given little to no instruction by the tech, and at one point I was still clutching my keys and wallet..and had to stop everything to put them down. The next day pain. I have 3 very noticeable cuts on my eyelid. It burns of course and I cant wear makeup until it heals. I hope they heal with no scarring. I called the place and was told by the manager that its my fault because I didn't hold my skin tight enougb....well i was flabbergasted! How is it my fault i got hurt...while having a service performed on me... The manager offered to do it again for free but honestly. Im scared to go back. I dont complain ever. Im in the service industry. I even tipped 6bux because I'm not a rude person. But I am really really upset. read more

I came in for my first time today. I am getting married next weekend and have been letting my brow grow out. I asked for a clean up and she look off so much. Absolutely ruined my brows. I will never go back here. I highly recommend you find somewhere else UPDATE after owners comments: I was extremely dissatisfied, but there's not much you can do once someone has waxed your eyebrows. If you are looking for waxing talent in JC I highly recommend sugar mama waxing instead. It's a clean business with well trained employees. My daughter had her eyebrows done here and they literally burned her eyebrow it took the skin off she left with extremely red swollen eyebrow the girl that did this did not offer any treatment such as cold water or a cold compress to help ease the pain of the burn she hardly even apologized for what happened. The next day we called the store manager and began telling her what happened and she stopped me and said " oh I spoke to you earlier" and I said no this my 1 time calling so obviously this incident has happened before. I explained what happened and described my burn and I wanted a refund, the manager never apologized for what happened she just said my refund would be at the desk when I went to pick it up once again the manager never ask how I was she didn't ask to look at my burn or offer an apology she simply handed me my money and walked away. Walked in here for my first visit needing an eyebrow threading. I saw Brooke and she did an excellent job. I am very particular about the thickness of my eyebrows and she was very attentive to my requests and periodically gave me a mirror to make sure she was working towards my expectation. I don't live here, so this is a review on a one time visit. I am very particular about my brows and love threading due to the clean lines it leaves versus waxing. I asked for my the shape of my brows to be kept the same, just wanted them cleaned up. I did not find them very thorough as I still had many small hairs left that I had to pluck out at home. My brows were also not even. I was very disappointed at how mediocre of a job was done on my brows for $14. Maybe since they don't have any competition. You're better off going to the threading and henna tattoo place across the street. $8 for eyebrows. read more

I recently moved to Johnson City from Queens, NY (born and raised). We have a lot threading spots and I've done threading for many years now. I was hoping to find my one-and-only threading place in this area. I saw that this place had a couple of good reviews and decided to try it. Let me tell you... I am VERY picky about who touches my eyebrows, so I was mentally prepared to have them butchered and living with uneven, bushy eyebrows forever. I walked into Bonita Bar and Syndey asked how I wanted them to look. I just wanted them "cleaned up, not too thin, and even". When she was finished, I took a look at them and they were beautiful. I went back to her again, and she did such a great job the second time. I found my threading spot and person. If you're reading this and looking for a threading place, I would definitely recommend coming here. Everyone here does a great job and they're very patient with you. I get my brows waxed. Kellie put my worries to ease. She is nice and very professional. The salon is clean and they treat their customers with respect. I'm always nervous about meeting new people but not this time. Kellie didn't do anything without asking me first. Prices are very reasonable and in a convenient location.
