The office staff are great, Sapphire goes out of her way to help with office issues and with very good results. The maintenance crew is also great. Allen does the job fast (from experience), follow up to make sure the job is done right. No job is too small or to big, he does it very professionally and importantly he cleans every up when he is done. Some maintenance job requires an outside company to do the job. They could use a firm talking to, to get the job done now. Sometimes it takes too long for them to get here and fix the issue. This is not one person fault. The only problem I have is with Conservice (outside company for the utilities billing). They will not work with you period when trying to get a full breakdown on the billing. Absolutely do not recommend at all. Please look for details when moving in. As soon as you sign the lease, you are forgotten. Terrible customer service and they will not help you with anything. Car got broken into first month I was there. They didn't bother helping us or even giving us video footage. Crime in this area is through the roof. Gun shots are heard constantly in this area and a young girl was shot and killed in this complex. Homeless walk around all the time around the complex. Water turns yellow once in a while which no one does anything about it. The leafs and trees will always be on the road constantly and no one will bother to pick them up. The laundry room is the worst of all. There is no one that cleans that area and the residents do not clean up after themselves. It is a terrible place. read more

I just recently moved out in November 2023. I had a 2Bed and 2Bath room apartment. The apartment itself was very spacious. The kitchen was beautiful and had so much space. Reason for moving : * * note : maintenance is very careless when they enter your apartment. On my ring camera the maintenance person left my apartment LEAVING MY DOOR OPEN !!!! Then return 10 mins later ! When I got the notification to my phone I was EXTREMELY PISSED my apartment could have been ROBED LIKE WTF. *** I notified the complex and definitely no FUCKS GIVEN *** 1. I started seeing roaches !!! They were in the bathrooms and kitchen . That's disgusting . 2. You only get AC in the living room. Our bedroom was very hot and uncomfortable at night ! I had to buy an expensive fan just to keep cool at night 3. People let their dog literally SHIT anywhere and NOT CLEANING IT UP! 4. The POOL - they should be ashamed because the pool is definitely not clean . My husband and I got in the hot tub one day and there were bugs everywhere. I NEVER WENT BACK. 5. Laundry Room ! Washing machines are always broken and laundry room was just dirty in general. People don't even use the door the come in though the window ‍. Moving here is at your own risk read more

Before we used to have cameras by our garages ,as soon as new management came in they weee taken down , garages are still being robbed and management doesn't do anything . Cars park at night in the office space they get to park for free while other residents have to pay a huge fee 60 dollars , also the utilities keep going up further and yes we get lease increases every year , I only get a response if we charge what the community market price is ! The water fountains were taken down and the poop from irresponsible owners are there all the time , and yes management has not done anything to resolve this issue , waiting for my lease to end to move out . read more

This review is on behalf of my boyfriend who currently lives here but will be relocating to another complex shortly: First.. whew Chile the neighbors!!!! You really lucked out if you live next to someone who is quiet and doesn't have children. The current neighbors have about ten ppl running in and out of their apartment, screaming, yelling and blasting loud music all throughout the day. Second, the security here is very poor. I would be worried about peeping toms, car break-ins, and garage break-ins if you decide to live here. The garage was broke into and boxes of linens stolen. I'm sure the burglar had no idea that he/she was coming up on a box of linen... but anyway. Parking. Horrible just as everyone else had said. Unless you actually have a #'d spot, you have to compete for a spot on the street. Street parking fills up @ about 5pm. There was a night where my boyfriend actually came home (night shift) to find someone parked on his paid for spot. There is nothing negative to say about the employees here. In all, I feel like there are much better apartment complexes out there that are priced much more reasonably with MORE amenities (laundry in unit, gym, etc.) and parking!!!!!!! Started living here in May. The complex is nice. Pool is nice when it's clean and the laundry mat is only nice when it's clean and not everyone is doing their laundry. There's lots of trees that attract spiders so be aware of that. Inside the apartment is nice. If you lee it clean constantly there's no issues honestly. When you need a maintenance problem almost all the time they get back to you but you will also experience being put to voicemail and late replies. They get to you eventually. Overall, I'm living good here in bonita cedars, it's very quiet as well living in building D. SIDE-NOTE, there are some of us (ME) who don't have their garage because it was burned down, and they have not begun any construction since I've been here and when it was burned down. Paying for the garage when I don't even have a garage is kinda messed up but whatever. (Apt.92 btw if you guys wanna ever give me an update on the garage). read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! This place is absolutely horrible! Management is great at telling you why they CANT help you. Our car got broken into 1 month into living here, the crime in this complex/area is extremely high. We got up multiple days to the sound of gunshots, and let's not forget about the fact that a teen got shot and killed in this complex. The cleanliness in these apartments is horrendous, the a/c filter looked like it had not been replaced in 5 years! There is no up-keeping of any trees or leaves within the complex, all walkways are FULL of leaves and dust that accumulates there. There were instances where trees had fallen branches and they would leave it there until a resident would move it out of the way. Maintenance within the apartments was little to none!! Whenever you would go into the complex laundry room there was trash everywhere, the machines smelled like mold and it would NEVER be swept or machines cleaned! The residents here were disgusting and would never clean up after themselves and would leave piles of detergent on the floor for others to step on. The last week of living here the water turned YELLOW! Management had no explanation for this and instead told me to just avoid it. HOW DO I AVOID USING WATER WHEN I HAVE TO WASH MY HANDS AFTER USING THE BATHROOM AND TAKE A SHOWER. The week I moved out and tried turning in keys THERE WAS NO ONE in the leasing office. They claimed their management had gone to a different location, meaning no one was on property to take care of resident's concerns. read more

I never really write reviews, but I guess that's because I'm not easily impressed. I have to say that based on where I come from, this place is GREAT! The property itself is very pleasant. The amenities are everything I'm looking for and the actual move in cost is a great deal! (I'm from San Francisco where a 600sq foot studio goes for 2000 + 1200 if you want a parking spot.) What really put the cherry on the cake was the management staff. Alex was charming, funny, courteous and friendly. That's hard to find these days. My 5 star rating is for the manager/office staff and maintenance crew. I lived at Bonita Cedars for almost 2 years and am very sad to have had to leave. Over the past year, my mother became very ill and I left work to care for her. She then passed away this past July. I am self-employed so my finances took a major hit. That said, I began to fall behind on my rent each month until, ultimately, I had to back out of my lease. Miguel, the Manager and his Assistant, Tasha, were more than understanding. While I didn't tell them about my personal issues, they never judged me or made me feel inadequate in any way. They were nothing but friendly, professional, patient and accommodating. The maintenance staff are also friendly and attentive. Any maintenance issue I ever had (which was rare), was taken care of within a day. Initially, parking was an issue for guests as there were no assigned parking spaces. However, after spaces were made available for residents to rent for a reasonable fee, parking was never a problem. Sometimes the children are noisy, or music is played too loudly, or cars are too loud, or car alarms go off. But that can be said for every apartment complex, anywhere. It just goes along with apartment living or living in such close proximity to other people. Overall, my experience at Bonita Cedars was very positive. I was happy living there and am very sad to leave. read more

Because the office is rarely open during their open hours. Bouncing off the above comment, I have no earthly idea why you would want to talk to the apartment manager to begin with. I debate about whether I'd rather deal with Merabell or get hit by a car. It usually boils down to how fast the car is traveling... She works very hard... at not coming into the office. Thank God for the other woman who works in the office with her (She's been a life-saver on more than one occasion.). Otherwise, no one would be there to help when something goes wrong, not that I would want to deal with Merabell even if she was there... The maintenance staff does a great job, when they get a request, which isn't as often as it should be, since the requests go through the office... Speaking of the maintenance staff, you'll get to know them well, because things break here, a lot. The neighbors? As long as your neighbor isn't the woman from apartment 11, you'll be fine. She's more trouble than Yelp will let me type about. But, everyone else is pleasant. With all said and done, these apartments aren't worth the money. And, the residents should be paid for the problems they face. Good luck, applicants!!! read more

She was extremely knowledgeable of all aspects of her job, and went above and beyond in helping us find out if the apartment we were looking at was "the" place for us. She even went as far as to check other listings within her company to see where she could find the best fit. She has an amazing, outgoing personality and completely put me at ease. My one star is for the apartment itself not being so bad. The bedroom is huge (I rented the one bedroom). The fireplace is cute. The kitchen needs major updating, the cabinets look like they've had water damage. The property manager team is unresponsive and a little rude. I had an issue with them not crediting me a day (because my apartment wasn't ready the day I was to move in) and also another issue with my water bill not being applied correctly and it literally took 2 months to get it taken care of and many phone calls to do it. When I would go into the office to ask about it, I couldn't even get the manager to look up at me while I talked to her. I called the corporate office and didn't hear back for about a month. Instead of crediting my rent she stated she was going to apply it to my water bill which was probably from the previous renters bill anyways. I ended up having to move an hour away and had to pay the $2500 to get out early but it was worth it because that place is a mess. A week into living there our air conditioning unit stopped working (dead of summer). The place was over 100 degrees inside so the manager let us stay in an empty apartment. So we literally had to bring pillows and a blanket and slept on the floor. Mind you I was pregnant at the time. I don't know much about what was right, but now thinking about it shouldn't they have paid for a hotel or something with a bed??? The garage I was given was filthy inside with leaves and trash. I was only there for about 6 months and I left the place immaculate, still took my whole deposit minus around $20 which I never got a check for. I received a letter about my "refund" but I didnt get the money. It was not worth my time to go back and forth for months for $20. I think the manager that was there before got "promoted" to another location (poor residence) but I cannot imagine the place has gotten any better. read more

Horrible complex , my car and my husbands car got broken into numerous times , our rims got stolen worth 600 dollars my daughters stroller was then and my worsens to my lights were cut , they went to my garage and stole 650-700 dollars worth of my husbands tools , tools are very expensive , management don't give a shit about anything , there was no further action taken after the stolen goods , they did put a camera but it's motion sensors only , meaning it only records when someone walks by , management will not help your for anything , a lot of people are moving due to this issue . Good size kitchen , the master bedroom is a great size with a monster walk in closet . The 2 other rooms are fair in size . The management is helpful and kind . Had a wonderful, painless move in recently with the assistance of Francisco, Ramon, Carla. I needed a place very quickly due to a last minute job opportunity in the area and they made it happen. The apartment is newly renovated, very spacious, and conveniently located near a large park, groceries, and restaurants. The pool area is very nice and the landscaping is very well kept.
