Well I'm going for my 4 yrs living in this apartments in this period of time we have had 4 different managers, the worst so far is the current one Flor , she brake their own rules and policies on her own convenience. I've been living here for a couple of months and so far I've loved it. My apartment was given to me pretty much brand new, appliances, counters, everything. It felt as if no one had lived here before. It has great amenities and lots of grass areas to walk around and walk your pet! Yes it is pet friendly which is awesome because is difficult to find pet friendly apartments at a reasonable price. The community is very well taken care of by the clean up crew and handy men. Flor and Ashley are the managers in charge of leasing and they are very helpful ladies. They answer any questions, they attend to your rental problems quickly, and they do small community events for neighbors to mingle. I highly recommend this community. First and foremost I gave villa granada a 2 star due to the new manager Ricardo. Up until he became manager about 2 to 3 months ago my residency for the past 5 years there was great. I did not renew my lease because of him. I am a great tenant never had any issues what so ever. Ricardo is by far the worst manager I have ever had to deal with. He always seemed bothered when I wanted to speak to him about any tenant issues I was having. He has absolutely no customer service skills what so ever! He is very demeaning and talks down to not just me but a few other residents I spoke to said the same thing. If you ask me this guy should be fired! Be aware and DO NOT RENT HERE! I'm not even sure how a guy like this gets hired!! read more

They squeeze you for money, moved it got charged double the deposit, my first day of moving in I had a nice welcome packed at my front door, dog poop. After a few days moved in I noticed the carpet seemed dirty, I owned my own cleaner so I decided to clean it and to my surprise I got buckets of dirty brown water. The stove and floor had a chip at move in already. I only lived there 1 year because I couldn't take the noise and feeling like a was incarcerated. At move out they charged me for everything they could. I went to complain at the front desk and the lady so condescending just told me to talk to her lawyers. Do not live here ever!!!!!!! read more

I stayed in these apartments about 2 and a half years ago. As far as the actual apartments go, I liked the atmosphere and the overall community. It was quiet, relaxing, and a good place to unwind. My issue came in the management. The management at the time was very friendly during the initial phase of us moving in but lacked communication. ( when I was discharged from the Navy, I was told that by bringing them a copy of my orders I would be "released" from my lease. But when i moved to back to Texas, I was still hit with a bill for $1850.00. It wasn't until recently I was made aware by an outside source that your orders act as a 30-day notice ) Another HUGE issue I had with these apartments was that I had a recently purchased motorcycle that I would park in front of my car in my carport. The office informed me that I couldn't do this ( even though both the bike and car fit in the carport without extending into the parking lot ). I was told that if I continued to do this, my car would be towed. So I bought an additional parking spot in the apartments to park my car and leave my motorcycle in the carport right outside of my apartment window. The second night of doing this, my motorcycle was stolen right from my carport! ( which was shocking because they had a security guard roaming around the parking lot all night, supposedly ). They also had cameras at the entrance/exit of the complex that, conveniently, went down for some strange reason that night. My bike was taken across the border to Mexico and never seen again. I like the complex, but I definitely feel like the management was into shady actions. read more

I resided here for approximately a year and I must say, my time here was delightful, starting with the initial encounter with one of the community managers, Denise. Denise was very insightful and knew the community like the back of her hand. I was new to the south bay and Denise's knowledge of the area was very helpful. She even recommended a place to get my favorite craft beers! She won me over. I had researched places for about 2 months and this was my 3rd stop for a tour. I was looking for a 2 BR, so i asked to see the floor plan and a tour of one of the units. I liked the fact that they actually have a demo unit set up and furnished. I was able to get a few ideas for my own place since i had to start with a clean slate for furniture (Denise also recommended a few places in the area that would offer delivery. WOW!). Walking in, I noticed how big the living rooms were, holy crap! Perfect for an 70-80" TV, heck, i even considered setting up a projector! I was also able to get an awesome living room set that I had my eye on, which, at first, i thought wouldn't fit in any unit i'd move into. The patio space is also huge, enough room for some patio furniture and some! I found the kitchen space to be bigger than the norm as well. Enough cabinets to stock up on lucky charms for a year! lol. The bedrooms were also bigger than 2 of the nearby apartments I had checked out. The unit i toured had very spacious bathroom as well, the master had it's own bathroom, and another one was located conveniently accessible in the center of the unit. The unit as whole was very spacious and had enough storage, closets, and shelving to stock up and have your own little costco! During my stay here, I had no chief complaints, my neighbors were great and we had clear communication with one another. The customer/tenant service was immaculate, and my work order requests were always fulfilled within a 24hr window, if not the same day when if it was early enough in the day. I only recall submitting 2, one for a screen replacement and another for a light bulb replacement for one of the bathrooms. In conclusion, I would definitely recommend this clean, well-maintained, friendly apartment community to any friends and family who are looking to reside in the south bay. HUGE units that, in my opinion, give you the most for your money. Definitely worth it. Ask for Denise, the south bay guru! read more

I've been here for 4 years..and this is the only my place that managers get things done really fast. For example my refrigerator gave up didn't work no more i called the office and had a new one in an hour. Wow! That was fast. I can't get mad at anyone shit happens in life. I'm just happy with how they do care and take care of the problems. I don't plan on leaving anytime soon. On top of how everything is so clean and quiet and chill. Really do love this place. My husband and I have been living here since 2015 and it's by far an amazing experience, we are currently on a waiting list for a 2 bedroom, we tour their 2 bedroom and were amazed on how spacious they are. We also love how close we are to everything we have so many shopping centers restaurants and easy access to the freeway. The only down fall is that they have a lot of rules but then again it's because of this rules that Villa Granada Apartments look amazing inside and out. read more

I've only been here 9 weeks sharing an apartment. So keep that in mind. Because of the Covid, I'm not on a lease (probably a good thing considering some of the comments so far). Problems, The water flow sucks and most times the hot water is only lukewarm. If you run an AC unit, the electrical will it seems have problems handling the load. I had mine plugged in indoors, but it kept blowing the room circuit. Luckily I could plug it in outside, but it does cause some flickering of the lights in parts of the apt. Still, the place stays reasonably cool most of the time. At least 2 of the drains have problems. Not sure why the leaseholder doesn't see about getting them fixed (I did try fixing one, but it's back to draining slow. In the bedrooms and closet, you need to supply your own light (and I believe the living room too). Parking can cost extra depending on the unit and number of cars. The laundry facility takes cards, but not all the machines accept coins (it seems). And I'm not currently aware of how to get a card (let alone reload them). The kitchen is small, depending on your needs. Nice things, The rooms are large with a good amount of closet space. It's too bad some shelving isn't provided on the sides, but there is one running across the top. If you like Walmart, there is one across the street basically and a Dollar General. And then a Costco a little further. As with most landlords nowadays I guess it would be a good idea to video the place before moving in totally. And list any immediate obvious problems. read more

The apartments here are large, but too pricey for what get. Older fixtures that are painted over. A refrigerator that is loud and the light on the inside doesn't work. The workers start working at 730 am, 6 days a week, so do not expect to sleep in. If you work nights or need to sleep past 730, you will not be able to here. Do not expect to get your deposit back. The increase the rent over 100.00 every year. If you don't have a lease, it's another 100.00 on top of that. They charge to replace the carpet and do not care if it was normal wear and tear. read more

This place is great, only if you are OK with noise 24/7!!! Managers are rude and don't give a rats ass about any of your concerns ! They hired a tub reglazing company that did the tub at 5 :30 or 6pm and left the horrible fumes to spread to upstairs units above without venting a tube with a fan out the bath window like they should. Informing the Manager of the situation, who was having some kind of meeting probably selling cosmetics or whatever to a group of women in the clubhouse room, she informed me that the office was closed and she could do nothing about it!! Visiting my daughter to help with the baby while her husband was at sea trials on a cargo vessel I told her that I temporarily am visiting for a week! She then said "you need to be a resident to make a complaint" She would not give me the name of the tub reglazing guy or the number of the owner! I am very upset with this property ! My mom and family have lived on the property for about 10-15 years, never late on rent and have been good tenants in good standing but yet when their lease was up for renewal, they got a notice to vacate for absolutely no reason at all! When my mom went to the office to discuss, she was told they didn't have to give her a reason! Then when she found another place to move to ( which is very stressful when you are being forced to move out by a certain day!) they would not let her leave early and made her pay until the very end of the month which resulted in her having to pay double rent, one for this rat hole and one for her new place. So disheartening that they would not work with her and at least allow her to move out before her notice to vacate expired especially given that she is a senior citizen, raising grandkids, always paid her rent on time and they would not take care of anything in her apartment when needed! They took out a tree in her patio because of the roots but did not want to level it, or pour concrete or put in grass. They just left it lumpy bumpy dirt! The fan in the bathroom has been broken forever and makes an extremely loud obnoxious noise and there is no window so there is no air circulation. They said it was an old fan so they could not get parts for it. You would think they would replace the unit with a new one, but no they did not! This is a dog friendly property but not a kid friendly property. They would rather put a fence in the grass for a dog park but won't allow the kids to play on the grass. You can't even walk on the grass! And if your child is just sitting on the steps, they consider it loitering! This is ridiculous! I am beyond angry and it is such a shame that this property does not take care of their long standing good residents! They are slumlords in my opinion! read more

Toured a unit, and were informed that we were placed on a wait list to be called when availability for the particular unit we requested became available. We then stopped in four months later and asked how close were to the top of the list, they informed us that we were at the top of the list and we would be called very soon. It's been four more months, so I figured I'd stop in today, and see where we were. Bertha informed me that the wait list has changed, and we are no longer on the list. She said if we'd like to give them $100 shed gladly add our names. I told her how shady that was, and she told me to get lost!!! Don't waste your time touring this property!!! There are rules yet not enforced. Children are playing all over with bikes and noise and neighbors put their music loud no Consideration for others. There's no guest parking and people park on the red lanes and outside other people's garages and non parking areas and nothing is said or done about it what is security good for? Also they have no knowledge of parking laws and rules they have a no parking sign on a handicap parking space during certain hours just waiting for someone to slap them with a lawsuit or I will myself. Residents leave their dogs in the dog fenced area alone management does nothing. The office staff are unprofessional and dress and look disgusting plus are to lazy to walk around the grounds and go around in the golf cart. Instead of running the complex professionally and care for their tenants they will always have vacancies due to the poor management.Terrible place to live don't waste you time!!! The apartments are very big and rent is reasonable. I love the location of the apartments but there are way too many rules. My family and I used to live downstairs where we had a fenced backyard so you couldn't see in unless the garage door was open. We now live in an upstairs apartment where the balcony is the main focus of the front office. We get notices all the time talking about cluster (which we have none) and they have so many rules that come along with living on the balcony. These rules must be followed and if not could lead to the termination of your stay.To be honest this is the first apartment complex I have lived in to have this many rules. I just feel for the amount of rent paid I don't get to live comfortably in my home because we are constantly reminded of all the rules here at Villia Granada. I wouldn't recommend these apartments and would suggest other places give you more for you money, since you can' t put a price on living in peace. This place has the worst managers, they refuse to uphold the lease rules on noise. This is a major problem here as people turn the music up and the managers don't care to handle the situation. There has to be a noise policy that has to be enforced and constantly maintained. I have yet to see the managers do walk arounds to inspect and inquire what the problems are in the complex. Stay late and knock on people's doors and ask how they;re doing, do More as they do nothing at the moment. and You can't email them with anything at all, since they don't have an email address. Lets see.. we moved in Villa Granada over a year ago. I was very excited about the pictures I had seen on the internet! We were in a rush to move in so we had very little time in finding the perfect place considering my husband had to go overseas in the next week or so. We told them when we moved in that we were on a waiting list for Military Housing and that they could call us to move in with in 6-8 months.. We still signed the lease bc they assured us that when the time came to move all we would need to do is show my husbands orders.. NOT the case when the time came! They told me I could move if I wanted but I would have to pay 3,460$! Pah-lease.. & bc I didn't RE-Sign my lease they now make me pay 100 extra dollars for rent!! WTF? We already pay enough for a 2 bedrm! 1,550$ :( My vehicle was broken into the last day rent was due & I had no checks left but they still made me pay 1,600$ & had no sympathy that my purse & everything I carried with me was stolen :( Their security here is a crock. There is cock roaches everywhere out in the front of your door hallway -__- At night you open your door & they scatter. The girls at the front desk are rude & never helpful, very snobby! Oh & they have the pics set up real nice when you look at them online... you cant have your TV in front of your couch bc there aren't any plugins.. you will have to run a cord across the hall & I cannot do that bc I have 2 kids. There also isn't ceiling lights in any of the rooms besides the kitchen, and bathrooms!! I had to plug in a lamp & that still doesn't give off enough light. Plus, its not cool bc I have a little one that was crawling & now walking but still jacks with it so UGH! These apartments are horrible especially for families. No bbqs are allowed even though we have a huge patio that is fenced off. Kids can't ride bicycles,skateboards, or scooters. And the management are really unprofessional and lazy just like all the other reviews say. Especially the little dorky fat assistant with glasses and black hair. She definitely needs some customer service courses. And surprisingly the manager is the same way. I guess the property owner doesn't really care who manages their property, because the previous manager was the same way. They are more focused on the exterior of the apartments than the interior. When you need a repair they do the most ghetto repairs I have ever seen in my life. I am just waiting till December till my lease is up and then I am out of here.
