I had been trimming my own hair because it was very inconvenient to make appointments but after about 3 visits, Nic has fixed all signs of my self-abuse and at least that part of my head is looking better than ever. He listens to his clients but he's also an artist who will make you look your best. I haven't always left with the exactly what I had in my mind's eye but I always get compliments on my haircut!

She handled my natural hair with care - blow dried and provided an amazing silk press and trimmed my ends! I also have to give a shout out to Brittany who kindly started me off with my scalp scrub, shampoo, conditioner and last but not least steam. I really felt like I was at a mini spa. I had an amazing experience at Mane Hair. The staff is extremely warm and friendly. It felt very down-to-earth, genuine and relaxed. I have been to other salons where the vibe is cold and uncomfortable. It was just $30 (this amount is not including tip) for a high quality hair cut. Excellent value! The stylist asked me about what I wanted and gave me exactly what I wanted. (Almost like she could read my mind) She was sure to ask about what length I wanted. She made an initial cut on a lock of hair just to make sure I was good with the length. I have never had so much thought and consideration provided for me when getting my hair done. The hair stylist was extremely empathetic. The staff is sure to hype you up with compliments. I felt amazing after leaving! It might seem cheesy to some but it really made me feel good. I'll definitely be a repeat customer! I overheard that the stylists at Mane Hair don't have to pay in order to work at the salon (which I guess is apparently a thing in the hair salon industry). Once braids were installed, she wanted more money than quoted. She stated the size and length were more expensive...but she was the braider and knew what I requested. How is that my fault and not her own? It was really neat so I met her half way on higher cost. I returned with my daughter at another time and asked for same medium knotless ready to pay more. Frances was not available so Aunt and sister-in-law braided our hair. My daughter had much larger braids than I expected while mines were smaller. We both paid $200 each since we provided our own hair. I returned due to not being happy with braids and was given a time to come. When I arrived, Frances had a customer and stated I would have to wait. I started taking braids that would be re-braided down. Frances completed customer's hair before starting on mines. I waited 4 hours; the same time it took to braid my entire hair. She quickly braided several braids larger in size leaving me with three different size braids in entirety. I won't be returning to say the least and the warning is Frances runs a sloppy business, double booking clients (some had to leave, no one there to braid after booking appt), and she's become like so many in our community money hungry and less interested in the product were paying for.
