Popular truck at Clover Market, November 2016
Jessica W.

YAS QUEEN! A crepe truck! YAS! Their crepes are the best! They serve them with a smile, with really friendly service. I always order a sweet AND a savory, because they are THAT GOOD! Anytime I see this food truck will be at an event, I make a bee line for it. The line is usually really long, with a longer wait line, because crepes are popular and take a lil time to make. But boy is it worth it! They are a winner! (Literally, they won an award for their crepes, see my pic.) Check them out, and bon apetite!

Bella! Nutella and strawberries!

So happy they came down to the Navy Yard! I ended up getting the Bella (Nutella with strawberries and sprinkled with powdered sugar) to satisfy my sweet tooth. It was delicious!!!! The menu is not that big but they are willing to accommodate your desires with what they have. Will definitely need to try their savory crepes next time. My co-worker got the Jacques (substituted ham for chicken, spinach, tomatoes, Monterey Jack cheese, & their homemade vinaigrette) and he said he liked it but it was not filling. So if you're hungry, get 2. It is a little pricier than my favorite crepe truck (I'll have to write one for my favorite) and not as filling either, but everything was fresh and flavorful.

Delicious crepes! And such a big selection of both sweet and savory! Will look for the truck again so I can try the rest of the menu.

Both hailing from Bogota, Colombia, the two partners own a number of restaurants both separately and together. With Tapas on Main, they brought authentic Spanish-inspired dishes to downtown Bethlehem. In February 2015, when the unit next door became available, the partners opened a French-style bistro dubbed Cachette Bistro + Creperie. With both eateries adjacent to each other, they can share the same kitchen and liquor license; it makes for easy management. Palomina serves as the executive chef for both establishments, while Luis Abundez serves as the chef de cuisine. My family and I visited Tapas on Main and Cachette Bistro + Creperie this past summer while we were visiting relatives in the area. We stopped by while exploring Main Street and it looked like a cool place to get brunch. Although we were all seated in Cachette's dining room, the staff said that we were allowed to order anything from either establishment's menu. For drinks, I ordered a "Limoncello Spritz" while my wife had a "French 75". For food, I had the "Smoked Salmon Benedict" (two poached eggs, smoked salmon, sautéed spinach, bacon crumbles and hollandaise over English muffins), my wife had the "Huevos Rancheros Crepe" (two fried eggs, chorizo, pico de Gallo, cilantro rice, black beans, jack cheese), and our sons shared the "French Toast" (fresh bananas & strawberries, maple syrup). We all really enjoyed our meal! Our extended family also enjoyed their dishes, which included the "Croque Madame" (gruyere, ham & egg sandwich, served w/ frisee & apple salad). Whether you fancy a culinary trip to Spain or France, you'll find plenty of delicious dishes at these two establishments!

What an excellent find on the lower east side…read more Mrs. E. is a sweet crepe aficionado. If it's not honey and butter she would've ordered the apple, caramel and walnut crepe. She reports an excellent experience! I tried the more savory Smoked Turkey with shrooms and Swiss Cheese. As big as they are, it was so good I was still thinking of getting seconds. They also have vegetarian, fruit and chocolate crepes. They are open until 2am. Not that we'd ever need it, it's nice to know. We stopped at a good time mid-morning, not too long a line and it moved pretty fast. The place is a bit small but there's seating outside. If there wasn't so much NYC to see, we would definitely be back. 10/24

Solid! We spent 3 weeks in Paris in the springtime and I fell even more in love with crêpes and…read moregalettes while there, so naturally I'm searching for good crêpes at home. Creperie on Ludlow St came up in my search and we happened to be down that way on Sunday. I'm also a huge ice cream and gelato fan, but husband is lactose intolerant so he prefers non-dairy. Last year we discovered the amazing vegan ice cream at Orchard Grocery, but I wanted the real thing this trip and he apparently hadn't wanted a frozen treat at all so wouldn't do Orchard Grocer for himself and a different place for me. Happy medium? Share a good crêpe! We found it at Crêperie. SO many choices, many similar to ones we loved in France. Extensive selection, but it didn't take long to decide on the apple-walnut-caramel crêpe to share, costing not much more than 2 ice creams. We watched the lone young man as he poured batter onto the round griddle to just the perfect thinness; as he expertly flipped it; as he loaded on plenty of apple compote, plenty of walnuts, and gently squeezed caramel sauce. Then he folded it into a neat rectangle, scooped it into an exactly the same size pan, flipped the whole thing over onto another griddle and left it to heat while he made a crêpe for the person behind us. At exactly the right moment (was he watching the clock? or maybe he's just THAT good!), he flipped it over, slid the crêpe onto a plate, artistically drizzled more caramel sauce on top and then gently shook some powdered sugar over it. Handed me 2 forks and knives and we sat on stools at the counter for our Sunday afternoon treat! Excellent! They have several savory crêpes (in Paris, those were usually buckwheat crêpes called galettes) and many sweet ones. Unfortunately it's more of a takeout place, with just the few stools at a counter inside, and a couple of small tables outside. I'm still looking for a genuine Parisian-style restaurant with a good selection of galettes and crêpes - but this was a great find and I definitely recommend it to you!
