I tell you I…read morejust had an experience that I needed a particular root stock on a plum tree I wanted to plant in the backyard. I had called the nursery that is located about seven minutes from my house. It's not Parkview. I asked them if they had the particular root stock and tree in stock. Their response basically was we have that variety of tree Santa Rosa plum but we don't know what route stocks we have. I said can you look and tell me. Their answer was no if you want to see you can come down and look. After hanging up the phone and disbelief, I called Parkview nursery on Chicago Avenue and again I got the outstanding service that I'm used to there. I told the gentleman who answered the phone what I was looking for he said let him check. He came back in about a minute and told me that they had that rootstock, but asked me why I wanted that particular type of rootstock. I explained to my situation and the type of soil and he recommended a better root stock that I was not familiar with. I had even gone on the Dave Wilson Nursery the supplier of fruit trees and it didn't catch my attention. He was absolutely right the root stock that he recommended was 100 times better and they also had that in stock. Needless to say, I got in my car drove the 35 minutes. It was greeted with outstanding customer service by every employee I ran into. If you are looking for a true outstanding nursery, this is the place to come. They have caring employees who really want your landscaping/gardening adventure to be successful.

Over the years I've picked up bushes, herbs, flowers bushes, and free trees. This year i liked the sapling for a Flowering Plum Tree (no fruit despite the name). I also like the convenient location, and that there's a large lot across the street with a vast selection over and above the main area. Prices are reasonable and the staff are helpful with selection and care tips, too. Additionally, they have all the tools and plant food you can possibly want.

Unfortunately, the experience at checkout completely changed my impression. The cashier was not friendly and seemed impatient, which made the process uncomfortable and disappointing. The nursery does offer fair pricing and a wide selection of plants, which I appreciated. However, customer service--especially at checkout--is just as important. Because of this experience, I will likely choose to shop somewhere else next time.

When we met Erica, She was very knowledgeable and very helpful in helping us choose the correct plants and trees for our yard. Our second appointment in the afternoon was at the nursery and we saw the actual plants that Erica suggested and we also saw 3-D renderings of our home with our new plants and trees. Thank you Erica! I received an Azalea that arrived severely stressed and completely dehydrated. I reached out to customer service "George" expecting a replacement plant or a refund, but his response was "Just water it." For the price paid, I expected a healthy plant, not a resuscitation project. Telling a customer to water a plant that arrived in this condition is a complete brush-off. Save your money and buy from a nursery that actually stands behind the quality of their plants. I won't be shopping here again.
