As my wife and I were planning our wedding it was a blessing to not have to worry about planning the boring logistics of our honeymoon. I really don't remember how I stumbled on Wendy Cook, but I am very happy I did. We went to Miami for 2 nights, Fort Lauderdale for 1 night, and on Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas for 7 nights. This was first experience with a travel agent. I couldn't believe the pricing and attention I received. Both my wife and I are young professionals and fully capable of researching good hotels and inexpensive flights ourselves. Wendy was extremely patient, attentive, and was able to reduce our cost significantly. This was my first time booking shore excursions separately from the cruise line. Wendy was very informative and made us feel comfortable. I plan on working with Wendy in the future for both simple and complex trips and would completely recommend her to my friends and family. I'm all about the convenience of travel websites but Wendy also was totally supportive. So I went to Google and found this car service. I saw a flat rate of $110 and it said town car up to three people, mini-van for 4 or more (check out my screen shot). It seemed like a pretty good rate, so I contacted Jeremy through the website. Despite being a Saturday, he called me back pretty quickly. He told me he would be the one picking me up, I gave him all my info (airline, time in, etc etc) and it was all set. The morning of my flight I received a call from my new driver. Jeremy was unable to be the one to pick me up. No big deal. I thanked him for letting me know before I boarded. Sometime during my flight Jeremy called and left a message telling me as well. All in all, pretty good communication. So imagine my surprise when I'm waiting to be picked up and a reallllllly old, beat up white minivan pulls over for me. Where was the town car? Talk about a bait and switch. I was really annoyed at the false advertising on the site. My drive was very nice, but kept looking at his cell ALL the time checking traffic, texts, etc. I eventually had to tell him to please stop, the heavy Christmas traffic, stop and go, etc, it wasn't safe and I felt nervous. He told me he "does it all the time, no worry". Not cool. He eventually stopped after I asked him a second time. I arrived in one piece and made good time. But I don't appreciate booking a service and not receiving what it advertised. I wish I had taken an Uber and paid the ungodly price it would have been.

Nice clean rest stop on I-68 with a nice view…read more There's only a couple of rest-stops on the highway west between Baltimore and the West Virginia border. Sideling Hill rest stop, about 7 miles west of Hancock, provides clean facilities, nice views, and a welcome center. We always drop a few quarters into the tourist-binoculars just to see as far as we can :-) There's a few picnic tables and benches. You can stretch your legs on a variety of walkways, including a stairway partway up the mountain and a pedestrian bridge across the highway. We just walked around near the The Visitor's Center, and bought from the snack and soda machines inside.

It's nice to have a place just to stop and rest in the middle of this route. You can just step out…read moreof the car and look at the view. They have bathrooms here which are medium sized. They also have a vending machine area and picnic tables and a walkway if you need to just walk around. All nice amenities just to walk around. The bathrooms are a bit old, but cleaner than you would think. It is mainly one way so its only for going West. If you need to go back Eastward, then you need to drive another 2.8 miles to the exit to go back. Nice to have, but could be better.
