This place is getting 2 stars overall. They taste great. This truly has nothing to do with taste, but everything to do with accommodating people. My wife and I were there before they opened with only 5 people in front of us. They allowed those people in front us to order way more then they should have allowed. Also, this is my 2nd visit here. The first visit this same issue came up. I arrived a little bit after they had opened on my first visit and a lady tried ordering a lot and was told no, they couldn't do that. So here we are with my 2nd visit. We arrived before they opened, was 6th in line, and the people in front ordered a lot and they allowed it.. very inconsistent practice. The girl taken the order even mentioned to one of them about needing to accommodate the people behind her. Unfortunately, they still allowed that person to order more than they should have been allowed to order. By the time we got to order we weren't able to get what we were there for because they had no extra trays made. So there was a ton of people that had been waiting that weren't going to be able to get what they wanted either. There truly needs to be a limit on how many speciality rolls you can order. I'd say a 2 per person limit. That's fair. If you want more than that you need to order ahead. Otherwise, as quick as you've rised as quick you will fall. To me you should have a line for people who ordered ahead, and they come in and grab their order and go. Everyone else gets a number when they walk in and a limit on what they can get. Then, you'll know how many trays you should have ready. Plus they had a mess piling up on the counter from the people who had ordered before us waiting on more rolls to come out of the back. I'm shocked they weren't getting mixed up. Very unorganized. It does no good how famous you think you're getting if you can't accommodate your customers. Until something changes we won't be back. It's not worth showing up early and being one of the first ones and still not getting what you came there for. Are you saying you have to be the first person at the door? That's not a business that's more like a contest you have to pay for. read more

This was our first trip. We were excited to try it because of all the great reviews. We got there early and stood in line before they opened. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. Once the doors opened it took them forever to start serving. Just one person at the counter and lots of workers in the back. It took a good 15 minutes to get to the counter and we were only 8th in line. The shop was cool with all the stuff for sale. Lots of plants, and attire to purchase. The buns were a nice size and good selection. However, the buns were super doughy! Like eating uncooked Pillsbury crescent rolls covered in sweet icing. Big turn off for sure. We like our buns cooked done and crispy. Most likely will not go back. read more

Can't take a roadtrip and pass Bonobos. The building draws you in and inside you find gooey yummy cinnamon rolls. The staff is warm and inviting. They have a savory cinnamon roll if you prefer salty. The icing has cream cheese and is addictive, so glad I stopped in. read more

Great cinnamon bun, perfectly gooey in the center. A bit sweet for my liking but probably good for most people. Service is good, friendly recommendation. Ambience is a also really nice. Lovely decor and probably better if things for outdoor were not taken inside due to rain. Probably would have been neater. Absolutely delicious doesn't even begin to describe how good the delicious baked goods at Bonobo's are. I stopped in there on the way back home from a trip. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted by the sweetest, most delicious scent I've smelled in such a long time. and then, as I walked up in line to order, I was greeted with the biggest cinnamon rolls of various flavors I've ever seen. The staff behind the counter were so helpful, patient, and answered every question I had. I ended up buying three cinnamon rolls to take home and share with my partner. I can attest that four hours later they are just as amazing at home as they are in store. The southern hospitality and the sweetness of both the staff and the baked goods are unmatched at Bonobo's. 10 out of 10 recommend stopping here, and I might have to make a trip to Waynesboro just to have these again. be in the know, that once they sell out, they close, so get there early for the best selection and the freshest baked goods you'll ever taste. read more

My husband and I absolutely loved this place. We stayed at the Airbnb right beside of this bakery, so we visited this place twice in 2 days. The cinnamon rolls are to die for. We also got a loaf of jalepeño cheddar sourdough that went perfectly with chili. It is also very adorable inside. 10/10 read more

I'm so excited for Bonobos Bakery to be open and I visited on, Thursday, July 31st around 11:30. The man and woman working in there was very friendly and helpful - I apologize I didn't get both their names. But the gentlemen described each pastry/roll that they had and was very passionate about their service. You can absolutely tell that these are freshly made with heart. There is a beautiful indoor seating area with a hipster-chic vibe. They also offer beverages, hot and cold coffee, milk, and a few others. Bonobos also do has merch available for purchase and as well as bagged coffee. There is plenty of parking directly out front, for those who cannot walk far. They also offer a coffee mug membership that sounds pretty interesting. Waynesboro needed a bakery and I'm so glad it is Bonobos!! To the young man working, thank you for being so friendly and passionate - it's truly what makes Bonobos a special place - beside's the delicious goods and the vibrant beautiful storefront. read more

I have visited this new location twice now. The price is a little steep for a single cinnamon roll, but they are rather big. Service is fast and the location is neat. Sometimes there's a bit too much icing which makes it extra sweet, I just take it off. read more

I just stopped in on my way down the mountain from Shenandoah and Skyline. I had already eaten this morning but wanted to check it out. The sticky buns, cinnamon rolls, pizza rolls looked amazing and smelled great. The cookies were very large and looked great too. If I had not just bought a loaf of bread yesterday for BLTs, I would have bought one there. I did taste a sample of their bread and it was great. Nice folks working in there. Clean, new, local business. I wish they would do a killer biscuit with egg and sausage or bacon. read more

Dirty, dark and are you a bakery or a plant shop? Unkept plants everywhere, no where to sit since the plants cover all the tables and random things strewn everywhere including dirty rags. Food may be good, but don't want to even try. Walked in, saw everything so unkept, walked out. No thank you. read more

THIS Place is PHENOMENAL !!! I love the owners who just started this bakery. Everything they make is full of their expertise and love of baking! TRUST ME, their cinnamon buns, Apple crumble, pumpkin, Peach are beyond exceptional and phenomenal !! They have seasonal rolls... which is a great idea! I had surgery @ UVA, and I didn't know they were open. When my husband drove past their place of business I shouted out for him to turn around.!!! I NEED one of their rolls to heal.. for medicinal purposes don't you know.. I just HAD to have a roll!! OF course, I was being silly.. LOL The owners are pleasant, as are the workers. Be patient. They are new and testing the waters. Whatever you are looking for be it cookies, muffins and their fantastic cinnamon rolls... they are well worth it!! Oh their sourdough bread is good too!!!
