Good selection of sweet and savory waffles. It was very good and the space is very cute!

Absolutely amazing! I got the Carne Asada and it was super flavorful. The waffle was super light and I would definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone!

The food was superb! I had the statler scramble and the queens bowl and they were both 10/10. I also loved the ambience of the place, k-pop music playing and a youthful vibe to place. The cashier and cooks were kind and my family and I had a good experience all around.

I wish the menu read that the "fried chicken" was a chicken tender. It was pretty good. The offered bottle drinks ($3) that were not cold and they did not have any ice. Like what? On a hot day? The drink was room temp at best and then no ice? Lost a whole entire star for that. Other than that, we had a great meal but not sure we'd return. The decor was nice and they had outdoor seating (good thing because it's small inside). The entire downtown area was full of places to eat--maybe they had cold drinks.

We got sweet and spicy chicken and waffles- they were very good. Loved the ambiance as well. Size of the restaurant is a little cramped when busy, but overall a great experience.

Great atmosphere and chicken was cooked perfectly! Only thing I'd change is adding wax paper or something as a barrier between the food and the aluminum tray (gives an odd metallic taste).

Delicious! If you are in the area, this is a must try. I had Addie's favorite I think it is called with strawberries and bananas and YUM YUM YUM. I wanted to go back the next day to get it again because it was so delicious. It is a smaller place and they don't take your order until you have a seat. You've never seen so many unique kinds of waffles in your life. Savory, sweet, or something in between - they have it!

Man, this place has a lot of potential and a great location to be awesome breakfast joint. The selection and creativity shown on the menu, immediately drew us in and raised our expectations. Unfortunately, the quality of some of the food items just didn't measure up (E.g. the fried chicken seemed to be from the freezer bag instead of a freshly made, hand breaded piece). Because of the limited size of the place, and the fact that you must order your food and return to the counter to pick it up, makes the dining area a bit hectic with people standing around, waiting for food and seats, standing by your table while you eat negatively impacts the enjoyment of your meal. The person taking the orders wasn't very friendly (seemed to be annoyed when receiving a special, but simple, request), and the cleaning person chastising patrons for not staying where they could hear their name called (folks had gone outside to wait because of the crowded situation inside) Didn't add to the experience. But, I realize that restaurant staff/people have bad days, as it can be hectic. I believe this restaurant is new, so we will definitely give them another chance a few months down the road and would recommend others give them a try as well.

We were delighted to find this charming little waffle shop in the lovely city of Staunton Va. My daughter who had been there before, said "I want you to try this neat little place". I was impressed by the emphasis on the environmentally friendly focus and the use of locally produced products. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. It is a small place but feels spacious clean and fresh with lots of hanging plants. We ordered today's special which was

The inside reminds me of a Chili's or Ruby Tuesday, but a bit darker. I think it's a nice atmosphere, appropriate for date night, a group, a family, etc. Our server (who has worked here for 3 years) was friendly and efficient. To start, we ordered a bowl of yesterday's soup special (She crab) and a small order of boiled shrimp. The soup was excellent, creamy, and with small pieces of crab throughout. The shrimp (six in the small order) were prepared well and came with a tangy cocktail sauce. The server brought over a loaf of their complimentary bread, which is actually three breads together in a single loaf. The bread was good (I preferred the dark loaf part) and came with a peach butter. We were told that the butters change periodically. The butter had pieces of peach in it (!) and we enjoyed the novelty. Our server mentioned that they also have a pistachio butter and maple butter. Yum. I ordered a salad with the balsamic vinaigrette dressing on the side. The salad itself was good - fresh, with crisp lettuce, tomato, cucumber, apple, almond pieces, etc. Then there was the dressing. Although I mixed the salad dressing in the cup before tasting it, when I did taste it, it was almost all oil with no discernible vinegar or other flavor. I kept stirring and tasting and nothing. So I abandoned the dressing. For entrees, my partner ordered the charbroiled salmon in herb butter with a side of broccoli. The salmon was prepared well and very tasty. I ordered the mahi-mahi, with the sun-dried tomato butter sauce on the side. The mahi-mahi was well prepared and tasty on its own. Honestly, I tasted the sun-dried tomato butter sauce and it was essentially whipped butter. I didn't think it added anything to the entree so I didn't use it. The potato came with butter and sour cream on the side. The potato was very good. Although we were full and not planning on dessert, the server came over with small cups of peppermint ice cream, calling it a "palate cleanser." It was very good and a nice touch. Other than the salad dressing and the sauce for the fish, it was an excellent meal in a nice atmosphere with good service. When we were leaving at around 7:00 pm, the line was out the door.

Grt them if you like ribs. My only regret and it was my own taste buds the bbq sauce needed some heat. My wife had chicken with artichoke hearts and sauce. She said it was tasty and the sauce sublime. Overall, a must dine at historic restaurant in Staunton.

We stopped in Thursday February 5, 2026. The cozy space, complete with a locally painted on the wall, gives it a warm, welcoming feel. In speaking with the matrade we learned the name of the restaurant comes from the Native American word that has become Shenandoah. After 20 years in business it's clear this place has deep local roots. The staff was friendly and attentive. Kyle, our waiter, did a great job and worked seamlessly with his teammates to make the experience memorable. We started with cocktails -- my wife had the Sage Advice and I had a classic Manhattan. Proper cocktails for sure! The crème brûléed cornbread and sweet potato bisque were standout starters. Probably could have stopped eating after those starters...For mains, my wife loved the pork loin and I enjoyed the pan-seared trout. We finished with the banana mousse, which was absolutely amazing! Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Highly recommend if you're passing through Staunton. definitely worth the stop.

The cocktail and mocktails were flavorful and well priced. Our waiter was great. Very knowledgeable about the menu, town and ingredients. We started with the Chicken Liver pate. This was well prepared, although I hate when a restaurant provides an odd number of toasts for two people. We asked for an extra piece and thought it was funny that they gave us exactly one. FYI- it comes with several accoutrements which were tasty, but the mustard was really the most satisfying. My wife had the brisket, which I would call a must have. Fantastic Asian spices, fried rice ball and Kimchi. Just an explosion of flavors. I was glad she shared. (This is uncommon) I had the pork chop and it was really pretty. Unfortunately, it lacked flavor and I had to carve off the fat which made up about 1/3rd of the chop. The bone was the other third...so it turned out to be a thick but modest cut. That said, it was on a lovely bed of mash and some of the best blue and white carrots I ever had. We finished with the carrot cake. (All of the desserts are made onsite.) which we learned was gluten free. Honestly if it was marked GF I wouldn't have ordered it. Anyway, when it arrived I thought we received the wrong thing. It looked like a decorative cliff bar. Once we took a bite we were blown away by the flavors and texture. It was delicious. Such a great experience. We were near the kitchen, so we got to see the head chef get orders out. There were some highs and lows, but the overall experience was really nice.

(There's also the beer garden outside in the back for seating, which looks like it would be nice and comfortable.) I got an everything bagel with hummus and tomato. My partner got everything bagel, scallion cream cheese, tomato ($0.85 for tomato) and lox ($6 for the lox). Although everything tasted good, we both noticed that the bagels were really, really dense, tough and chewy. Like uncomfortably tough and chewy. My partner left one half of their bagel uneaten and I didn't finish mine. It looked great and the hummus and cream cheese and other toppings were fine, but the bagel was really, really tough. I'd like to believe that it isn't because the bagels were stale, but the thought crossed my mind. The coffee I had (dark brew) was outstanding, served in a nice, large mug. Excellent! Service was efficient. I considered a four-star review because the coffee was outstanding, but the bagels were really disappointing. It's too bad. It looks like a cool place, but their main food item appears to be bagels. Maybe it was a one-off, but I spent over $26 for two bagels and one coffee, and I don't plan to come back to find out.
