Bonsai Tea with raspberry popping boba.
    Markus D.

In this small unassuming spot you'll find some of the best boba you'll ever have. My girlfriend and I were thirsty and decided to get some boba while we cooled off. I got the Bonsai Tea, and it was some of the most flavorful boba I have ever had. I loved the inclusion of fresh fruit, and the raspberry boba was a unique addition that you don't see offered very often. The servers are also really nice and helpful, and they offer you a small sample before giving you your boba to make sure the sweetness level is to your liking. I thought that was a really cool idea.

Stopped in quick for a refreshing beverage and opted for the lychee delight as it is sweet but not overpowering. There is no added sugar and the jasmine green tea which is bitter paired great with the natural sweetness of lychee. Service is very quick and there is indoor and outdoor seating here.

The Cacao Milk tea is absolutely delectable with lactose free whole milk and earl grey tea. The owner greeted us with a smile and lovely demeanor. The restaurant is impeccably clean and well laid out. Such an adorable shop! I highly recommend this beautiful shop.

Service was great and I believe the owner helped us out! She was very friendly and kind and knowledgeable of her menu. The tea was AMAZING and fresh! The shop was clean and adorable and had plenty of seating options. Will be back next time I am in winter park!

Pink Matcha with brown sugar boba
    Madison L.

Bonsai is truly one of my favorite boba shops. I came with some co-workers and we had a decent experience. We got the pink matcha with brown sugar boba. The drink was gorgeous and the boba was perfectly cooked. The store was as cute as ever. I do have some constructive criticism for the service however. The store was in a rush and they only had one person working. Eventually, a second person appeared, but it was slow going. I appreciate that these detailed drinks take time to make, but the speed was a bit causal and they really should have had more people working the bar mid day. I acknowledge that maybe it was uncharacteristically busy. They forgot one of our drinks that we paid for and that increased our wait. We were happy with the boba and I do love this place, but perhaps there are some staffing kinks to be worked out. I'm excited for my next visit and hope they can smooth out the flow a bit.

Love their floral and fruit teas, natural and not too sweet! Wonderful service by the owner

Situated on park Ave this place has one of the best boba and tea drinks in town. Street parking, excellent service, and cute ambiance. They let you taste test

I love this shop! I'm not big on fruit tea but they have great variety with fun flavors here. What I'm most excited about this shop is that they sell my favorite Copenhagen sparkling tea by the bottle! All 3 flavors: jasmine tea, sencha, silver needles. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The space is nice and cozy, a bit small so don't plan to hang out here for long, since I think it's meant to be more of a grab and go kind of tea place. Needless to say I'll be back for more fruit tea and more sparkling tea!

I'm new to this part of town and was happy to see a bubble tea spot! I stopped in and grabbed a milk tea with boba pearls. The guy was super nice and we chatted for a bit. He let me sample my tea to make sure it was sweet enough. It's a cute little spot. The desserts looked pretty ok I. The case. Next time I stop in I'll be sure to try them!

I was surprised to bump into a Boba place after lunch with a friend nearby. There is a variety of Boba, and the staff are very friendly. They recommended my drink (I forgot which fruit tea it was, I believe it was the Bonsai tea). It was quite delicious and different from what I ordered. Compared to other places Bonsai tea has unique options, but it is not as customizable as other places.

My only little "ehhh" was the texture of the glaçage drip. Personally, it wasn't my favorite mouthfeel--but listen, that did NOT stop my fork from continuing its ministry. Lots of real candles, burlesque pictures, and flowers made the mood cozy and sexy. The staff were wonderful. For my dessert, I ordered the fever, which consisted of a chocolate molten cake, two scoops of vanilla ice cream, and a chocolate decoration. It was so delicious and decadent. My girlfriends loved the carrot cake and the fourgasm (4 dessert sampler). Everything was a bit expensive, but you're paying for the expensive. My one minor complaint was that we had not been there an excessive amount of time, but as we were checking out, we were informed we needed to leave because they needed our table in 5 minutes. I did not care for that. Overall, this was a really fun experience and I'm sad we had to say goodbye.

The service throughout the meal was great. The food, however, was underwhelming. The bread was cold and dry. The bread was served with olive oil and it lacked flavor. We asked for balsamic and salt to add flavor to the oil and bread. For an appetizer, we ordered the classic bruschetta. It was very fresh but it needed salt. For my entree, I ordered the pesto pasta. While the pasta was freshly made, it was overcooked and mushy. The sauce was decent, but there was way too much salt. The pasta was also cold by the time it arrived at our table. The chef did send out complementary cheese with balsamic, which was appreciated. Overall, the food was overrated and it was expensive. I've spoken to friends that have also dined here and they agree. We were scheduled for a 5p Magical Dining experience that was for the outdoor patio and although we asked for indoor we were kindly told no despite the potential for rain in the forecast. They would talk to us if the rain became a problem they said. That was fine and understandable. What was ultimately troubling was the warning that did not come with sitting on the patio. There is clearly a bee problem here as multiple tables had multiple bees flying around them. As someone, as well as someone else in our party, are deathly allergic to bees and it made it very uncomfortable to enjoy our meal. Ultimately we asked for our food to go which the wait staff said they would look into. The wait staff attempted to keep it light hearted with jokes however we were very uncomfortable and could not enjoy anything especially with bees landing on our food and beverages. After a few minutes and some painstakingly moments with bees landing on us, the manager asked if we would like to move inside. We said sure but this should have been offered from the get go as they could clearly tell how uncomfortable we were. We moved inside and frankly we could not truly enjoy our meal after this experience. And to top it off, nothing on the meal was comped (including a soda that had to be replaced not once, not twice, but three times due to bees getting stuck in the soda bottle!). So if you have allergies to bees, BEE prepared and bring an EpiPen and don't expect much from the restaurant to be able to accommodate all of those outside. This was definitely a Nightmare Dining experience and was far from magical.
