You can find everything in NYC, but it is rare to find a great restaurant with great food in a great location with great service. This place really had everything. We tried about a dozen tapas items on the menu since we were there with friends and family, and everyone wanted to share everything. We really enjoyed the food, a combination of cold plates and hot dishes, with particularly delicious patatas bravas. The ambience was romantic and warmly lit. Our waiter was funny, personable and regularly checked on us. Moreover, they let us stay late because they had to do a big cleanup anyway. We were able to get another cocktail in. Bonsaii is a Spanish restaurant with typical Spanish dishes & occasionally other dishes such as ceviche as well. The ceviche was great- the plantain chips was quite different from what I'm used to eating with ceviche but it was good as well. Another one of my favorite meal pal places, except this is located in a hotel with a beautiful outdoor decoration. The ceiling is covered so you are more than welcome to come anytime of the year. I highly recommend the burrata salad and the meatballs, plus that chocolate cake was so so good! Service was attentive without being annoying (it's a delicate balance, folks!). My recommendation is, if it's 15 degrees outside, choose to sit inside rather than the enclosed patio. This is a hidden gem that is located in the Concorde Hotel, where we have stayed for the past two visits to NYC. My wife and I really enjoyed our time at Bonsaii before a show at Radio City. The vibe was chill - beautiful mural and green walls for an outdoor feel with some low volume pop house music. The food was good to great - we had ceviche, a truffle flatbread, Asian Caesar salad, goat cheese bruschetta, and some cheesecake. The sangria was pretty solid also. They have a back area which seems like it's outside but it's air conditioned. The food and drinks were delicious. They don't serve hard liquor, but they do have cocktails with champagne, which or refreshing on the hot day that we went to visit. Additionally, my friend is vegan and we were able to get tapas to fit her dietary needs, which I'm always impressed when a place can accommodate a vegan. I also liked how there were teas to choose from that came in whole kettles. There's an indoor areas and a larger outdoor patio - the outdoor patio is decorated with flower and neon lights. For the food, some highlights: -ceviche: the colors of the fish and the overall presentation was beautiful, which paired well with the savory plantain chips! A great balance of soft yet crunchy textures!! -chicken skewers: these were some juicy chicken! They might have served booze at the hour we were there (and probably did given their name), but we didn't ask, and just had coffee and Naked juice as we had a full day. Wife had the burrata toast and loved it. I had the salmon truffle toast and liked it, but I forgot to order the addition of the egg. I probably would have LOVED it. Actually, I probably still was on the border of love without the egg. Still a 5. My bad, and you should try THAT. Great, central place before you hit some Midtown sites, and you have a great experience, but are in and out in about 30 minutes or so (unless you booze of course). As I was eating my dessert, I spotted a long hair strand. I removed it from the plate to be sure it wasn't my hair that fell in, even though my hair had been tied up the whole night. When I told the server he tried accusing me of putting hair in the food. He even brought me the check with the dessert still on it. I had to ask him again to please remove the dessert from my bill as I did not eat it once I saw the hair strand inside. He begrudglingly removed after insinuating he didn't believe me.
