Server was a sweetheart, really relaxed and didn't seem stressed or overworked, she was able to talk and not sprint around the restaurant. Food was delicious, didn't LOVE the broccoli-avocado appetizer, it felt bland but it was still a nice refreshing starter. Ordered the truffle gnocchi, AMAZING! So cheesy but not overwhelming. My mom ordered the beet salad. Not usually a fan of beets but I really loved the sauce (balsamic) and it was actually very good. I ordered all 3 mocktails and didn't have a complaint about any. As someone who has spent my entire career in hospitality, I don't impress easily-but Oscar Wilde Bar exceeded every expectation. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the décor and ambiance. Every corner has been thoughtfully designed with incredible attention to detail, creating one of the most unique and immersive bar experiences I've ever had. The level of intention behind the design is truly second to none. The cocktails were outstanding-creative, beautifully balanced, and expertly crafted. Every drink felt purposeful and showcased real talent behind the bar. Despite the venue being absolutely packed, the service remained warm, personal, and genuinely attentive. Bartender Juan was exceptional, and manager Andrii led by example with true hospitality. I initially had a seat that wasn't ideal, and without me saying a single word, they noticed. As soon as a better seat became available, they proactively offered to move me. That simple gesture spoke volumes about their awareness and commitment to guest experience. It's easy to deliver great service when a room is half empty. It's much harder when every seat is full, and that's exactly when this team shined the brightest. What a gorgeous bar to celebrate the man, the myth, the legend. I had just reread The Picture of Dorian Gray with my book club so this was a fitting experience. The interior is beautiful, every corner is eye catching. They even have a screen that showcases his famous quotes. They have an extensive drink menu with themed cocktails. It was busy so things might get a bit delayed but the staff was nice. We ordered a bunch of cocktails. The Exile- This is a sweet and refreshing drink with raspberries, strawberries, vodka, and finished with greek mastiha mint. Secret Knock- This is a smoky drink with a bit of a bite. You get peach liqueur with cinnamon smoke, bitters, and yellowstone bourbon. Robbie's Reverie- This starts with violet gin, lemon, rhubarb, and tonic. Strong and citrusy. Oscar Wilde is a bit of a gimmick, I'd say, a hit among the themed-bars crowd and impressive to anyone not native to New York. I found the hodgepodge of old-timey decor to be a bit kitsch, but to each their own. I came with a group on a weeknight with no reservation. We were seated immediately on a high wood table. Although the bar wasn't busy (there were plenty of empty spaces, small groups scattered throughout the area), the service was quite slow. The server was inattentive and took a while to take our orders. We had to ask her for water three times, searching for her across the room in an attempt to catch her attention. She was a bit absent during the two-ish hours we were there. On the bright side, the drinks were fairly good. I ordered this strawberry vodka cocktail topped with whole mint. I'm wary of vodka for its harsh, unpleasant taste, but I found this drink to actually be very pleasant, tasing like a fruit smoothie you'd get from a local juicer. There was also a burgundy drink served on a wine glass that tasted like the holidays. I liked that one quite a bit. Overall, Oscar Wilde was an okay experience. Met up with some friends for drinks for St. Patrick's day. Very festive & happening bar/restaurant. My friend made a reservation, and we got there earlier, but was called to sit quickly. The menu is a sign on a QR code on the table. Happy hour is 2-6 and just made it with minutes to spare. We wanted to order a pitcher of sangria but waitress told us they don't do pitchers. We all go single glasses instead. Drinks came out fast. They aren't overly strong. It was also a good portion. We also ordered buffalo cauliflower bites and hummus and naan. I didnt even get a chance to take a picture. Everything came out nice and hot. Very tasty, don't sleep on the food! There was also dancing and music. Can get pretty loud but all in good fun. Stumbled in here almost by accident and my first piece of advice is do not enter if you're on gummies and it's Alice in Wonderland season as the decor will blow your mind as firmly as the graphics at a Dead show in the Sphere. At $60 per person, you get 3 tiers of mini tarts and macarons, scones, and tea sandwiches. Unfortunately it doesn't come with a pot of tea and you can purchase it separately. I thought the food was just okay and my favorite was the smoked salmon sandwich. The scones were quite small and it didn't really feel like a $60 platter. This place is more for its decorations than the food perhaps. I had their Wilde Rabbit drink which had elderflower, cucumber, yuzu and Prosecco. I thought this drink was delicious! The decorations were cute but this place was jam packed like a can of sardines. This place gets a solid 3.5 and here's why: - a reservation is still needed - because I wanted to keep our stroller with us, we were sat in a corner that barely had decorations ... just a few gold strings of lights, a broken nutcracker next to our table - our waitress didn't offer us a high chair, but the busboy did halfway through our meal - the drinks were ok but the fries were hard and stale ... I don't know if there were fried earlier and then refried, only reason I ate the was because it was our New Year's Eve lunch The only thing I love about this place is the decor and we could take advantage of it when you walked out of the restaurant. Definitely not worth the hype and wouldn't come here again. Thank god the tip wasn't included although I always add the 20 percent. Wow! What an amazing place this is! When my daughter and I stopped in for drinks this past week, the restaurant was decorated for Halloween. When I say decorated, it's insane how crazy they made it! From the front door to the ceiling, it's amazing. Beyond Halloween though, the place has amazing decor. So much is imported from Europe and South America...including the stained glass from Milan. Check out their website for a list of it all. The bar that we sat at was beautiful. Our bartender was very friendly and they had a nice Happy Hour selection of drinks. Oscar Wilde is absolutely gorgeous decorated for Christmas, and the line outside reflects that. When we arrived in the evening, the weekend before Christmas, there was a line down the block and a bouncer at the door enforcing 1 in, 1 out. Once inside, there was absolutely NO space to stand or sit. Every chair and bar stool was taken, and we couldn't even find somewhere *near* the bar to stand. There was no way we could even order a drink. They should have let less people in. After 10-15 minutes of wandering around aimlessly, we were about to give up and leave, but saw a couple getting up and quickly took their now-vacant barstools. We shared a drink and sat taking in the decor. Every single inch of the walls and ceiling were decorated. It was festive and cozy but somehow not cramped or cluttered feeling. I cannot fathom how they pulled that off. The drink was fine, nothing special. Prices for drinks and food were sky high. If you're coming This place instantly pulls you into a different era -- like stepping into a Jane Austen story -- and right now the whole space is transformed for Christmas. Giant ornaments, holiday trees, snow globes, reindeer, Santa, polar bears... the decorations are incredible and make the whole place feel magical. For families: make a weekend reservation and request low seating. There are a lot of high tables, so that note really helps. Service is on the slower side, but the food surprised me in the best way. The Wagyu bacon burger was thick, juicy, and came with crispy fries. The sausage had a nice char, and my buttermilk chicken and waffle was juicy inside and delicious with syrup. I had a great time the other night and the holiday decor was out of control... in a good way! Barely one inch was left uncovered by all of the Christmas decorations. Even with a reservation we had to wait quite a while, but at least we could savor the festive environment. When we finally got seated we had a rude waitress, but then another one who was much nicer and on the ball took over. I ordered the gingerbread holiday drink but it didn't come with a gingerbread man cookie like it was supposed to, just a round one. Brought my mom to Oscar Wilde for her birthday the weekend after Halloween. I wanted to bring my mom here because after seeing the pictures and learning about this location, I thought my mom would enjoy the Victorian style decor and ambience. To my surprise, the Halloween decor was still up, and I was so excited because I had been wanting to go previously for Halloween weekend. The second you walk in, you are all by the amount of the core covering every single inch of the space. The walls, and the ceiling all were beautifully decorated, and the entire time I was dying and I was in awe. We arrived during happy hour and we're able to order some apps and cocktails off the happy hour menu. I ordered the writers quill as my drink which came in a cute tea cup, which essentially wasn't an espresso martini. To start we enjoyed the Wagyu sliders which were 10 out of 10 and an order of buffalo wings. For our entrées, my mom ordered the Bronzino, which was absolutely delicious! For dessert, the waitress let us know that there is complementary bread pudding that was served with vanilla ice cream, and in addition we ordered the tiramisu. Both were phenomenal! Our server was super friendly and quick, despite and absolutely full restaurant at the time. I was super entertained the entire time from all the Halloween decor all around me, and even finding the more antique style decor on the way to the restroom. It is an antique, eccentric Victorian style decor and I think it would be a cool contrast to see compared to the amazing and elaborate Halloween decor.
