This might be my first time dissatisfied with late night food. In addition, there's a club next to the dining area with the loudest, most ghetto music that gave me one hell of a headache. After a long flight and checking into our hotel, Hot Dog Maracay was one of the few walkable food places still open. Getting there from the Miami River Inn was a small trek, but we eventually made it. It is essentially a food truck parked next to a day-time custom autoshop. Lit up by a few strings of LEDs and music blasting out the truck, we knew this was a go-to-after-the-club-drunk spot. There are tables with a plethora of sauces to squeeze onto your food. Try them all - but my personal favorites were the maiz, sexy mami, garlic, and spicy sauces. As a non-Spanish speaker, service was a kind of a miss. Our cashier had to pull a patron from their seat to help translate. The game of telephone was crazy but we ended up ordering: 3x combos - one combo consisted of 2 dogs + 1 drink of choice Overall a super messy hot dog. The hot dog itself didn't taste grilled or cooked and definitely felt it was 'raw-dogged' lmao. But the addition of chopped raw onions, crispy potato sticks, corn, and a mountain of cheese really made this a unique meal. The Peach Nestea was super sweet and delicious.
