A lil bakery in Hallandale! Moises Bakery is a small spot where you can get some breakfast pastry bites and drinks in this area. We were on our way back from the beach heading down south and wanted a quick bite for the drive. After a quick search while on the road on Yelp, we found Moises Bakery! We saw photos of empanadas and were sold on visiting. When we arrived, it was pretty easy to find, with parking in the back. There was a small line but it moved fast. They didn't have the greatest selection but we got what we came for- empanadas. They had a couple of other sweet and savory options so we ended up getting another jamon pastry plus two empanadas, plus some freshly squeezed orange juice from their machine. Now, when I tell you these pastries are greasy... they soaked the bag through by the time we were done eating it on the ride. Although we were skeptical when we saw how much grease it was, they were oh so goooood. The empanadas had shredded beef in it and came with a green crema sauce that was so good. I will say that I wouldn't recommend eating too many of these because we immediately felt the effects of how much grease it was. We were tired and felt heavy but, overall, worth it for the flavor and taste. This might be a guilty pleasure treat every once in a blue moon. Overall, a great quick lil place to grab an empanada!

Authentic Venezuelan bakery with options for every taste. Whether you are looking for some sweet pastries, or savory baked/fried goods, you'll surely find something you like. Their tequeños and cachitos de jamon will not disappoint you! Be prepared for some lines to order as it is a popular spot, and the layout makes it a bit awkward to navigate and wait.

Came here to get some breakfast since it had somewhat good reviews and it was down the street from where I was staying. It's a small bakery and it wasn't packed on a Monday morning. I always like to try empanadas so I went with a shredded beef empanada and a chicken empanada as well as their croissant. The empanadas were a bit of a let down, especially for the price. It may be the area but $5 for an empanada seemed a bit high to me but to each their own. Both the meat and chicken empanada could have had more flavor, the crust was both crunch and doughy at the same time. I was hoping more from them. We LOVED their croissant though, it was crispy and flaky and buttery. We would definitely come back for their croissants. Very friendly and quick service. I would say this place is a hit or miss depending on what you order.

I came by with a co-worker to try this Venezuelan place out. From the street it looks much smaller than it really is. There is plenty of parking but you can tell it does get full in their prime rush hours. Two of our empanadas were made fresh so it did take slightly longer to prep than the other ones pre-prepped and well worth the wait. The shared restroom was clean. I'll return

This place is clearly popular with locals (which is always a good sign). This spot was recommended to us by our Venezuelan family members in the area. It was packed when we arrived and took a bit to get through the line. The space is small and tight to navigate. It was all worth it though. I've never had a Cachito de Jamón with SO MUCH ham inside of it. I was almost overwhelmed by the filling, but in the best way. Of course we had to try a tequeño which is a classic Venezuelan snack. The cheese was the perfect balance of salty and juicy.

Spot is fire ! ; came here for some breakfast and got more than I expected . Service spot on , food - on point , bakery selection - is wild . Some seating outdoors as well as indoors! . Had the pabellón empanadas , palitos de queso , arepas , and the criollo breakfast and again all on point . Also freshly squeezed orange juice which is a must . Will be coming back for sure

By 3pm many items were sold out. But they had more empanadas in the back!

I've been coming to Moises Hallandale since they opened. The food is always yummy whether you order savory or sweet. The Venezuelan empanadas are the best and the coffee is delicious. It's a quaint and small space with Indoor and outdoor seating. Sadly I had to take a star away because too often the staff does not ad guasacaca

I've been coming here for years! Everything is made fresh including the empanadas, desserts, coffee, and freshly squeezed orange juice. Whether you want to grab a quick pastelito or you are looking for an entree, the food here is always good. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and the employees are always friendly and bilingual. You can also purchase ingredients to made Spanish cuisine such as cachapas.

Delicious Pastries and Cozy Ambiance--Moises Bakery in Fashion Row Review: With several years of food blogging under my belt, I am forever on the lookout for the most overlooked hidden gems. Very inconspicuously located on a corner in Fashion Row, Moises Bakery is really something special--a place any pastry and ambiance lover should pay a visit to. From the very second that you step through the door, you are hit with the aroma of fresh-baked goods. The display cases hold an assortment of pastries, cakes, and breads. These are so deliciously appealing, they're almost too beautiful to eat. There's a wide range of options to satisfy both traditional and more adventurous tastes. I started with their signature empanadas, and they simply are to die for. The pastry is perfectly flaky, and the flavors of the filling just burst in your mouth. My favorite would have to be the beef empanada, although both chicken and cheese are real close in contention. Another standouts are the pastelitos. The one with guava and cheese had the perfect balance between sweet and savory; the ham and cheese was rich and full of flavor. No visit to Moises Bakery is complete without dessert. Their tres leches cake was outstanding: moist and decadent but not too sweet. I also highly recommend the alfajores--they were melt-in-your-mouth good. Besides the great food, the people in Moises Bakery are very warm and friendly. They will go out of their way to make recommendations and see to it that you have a good time. The tiny, interior space with its decor adds to the overall pleasant experience. Not only for the sake of such great pastries but also for real hospitality, Moises Bakery stands out amidst all hustle and bustle that is Fashion Row. Whether you're in a rush to grab something on your way to work or if you want to sit down and enjoy your treats with a nice cup of coffee, this bakery is definitely going to make the top of your list. Rating: Thank you, Moises Bakery, for bringing taste from pastry heaven to Fashion Row. I cannot wait to go back! Pros: 1. Gourmet Pastries: From tasty to well-made pastries and delicious desserts, this is a great variety mix. 2. Nice People: Warm, welcoming, helpful employees 3. Cozy interior: Charming decor, comfortable seating 4. Specialties: Must-try treats include the tres leches cake and alfajores 5. Traditional taste: Traditional flavors done with flair and a modern twist Cons: 1. Small Capacity: It can be pretty hard to find a spot during busy hours. 2. Crowded: Can get pretty crowded, which may mean longer wait times. 3. Parking: Fashion Row can sometimes be a pain to get parking in. 4. Price Point:Very fairly priced--maybe a little higher than other bakeries, but the quality makes up for that.

The baked treats are all dairy free, egg free and vegan. We purchased the banana mini cake which was moist and delish. The big deal is every Tuesday with $2.00 mini cakes. We came on a very busy time since there were over twenty customers on a food walk tour trying to get their baked treats at once and it seemed the person behind the counter was overwhelmed, and I was too. The shop had really nostalgic items from the 70s and 80s scattered around the room including old albums and toys with a nice giant blue velvetish shoe seat. The parking was easy on the street for $1.50 an hour so not bad at all. They do offer a big parking garage too.

It was pretty sad when we received something that was horribly sticky, and I don't know how she didn't realize it when she handed it to me because it wasn't a surface on this that wasn't sticky. I personally had to proceed to clean it myself. I can typically look past that because unfortunately, it is quite common that a lot of restaurants don't clean high chairs and booster seats these days, which is kind of gross and definitely an oversight. But when the food came and we went to use the maple syrup that felt like it was doused in maple syrup. Again, you couldn't touch anywhere on the bottle without having it all over your hands. The bottle surprised me because it seems like it was just refilled, so I'm guessing the person dripped all over the bottle and just decided not to clean it before leaving it out for service. In the end, the meals were basic nothing spectacular. I asked for medium well poached eggs with my corned beef and I got extra runny. My husband said his French toast was fine and my son said the waffle was too sweet so he could only eat one (which is quite shocking for a six-year-old). I had set my expectations too high for the bougatsa, which I've been craving since my last trip to Greece. I was sad that this one was cold and drenched in honey, so it was also so soggy. I'm hoping this was an off-visit since it has been around for such a long time, and as you can see by the photos, everything is so picture perfect. It also does seem to get decent reviews. But on this trip, we will not be back.
