I stumbled on this on my walk near the museum in North Miami. Just a small local place, the plain dining room enhanced by colorful posters and flags, presumably of Venezuela, and a cheery yellow neon sign informing me "All You Need Is Empanadas." Almost true. I needed a coffee too. The staff doesn't speak much English and I don't speak much Spanish but between our smart phones we figured it out. The menu is in both languages but the details are only in Spanish. I had an empanada and a café cubano. There were many flavors of empanada. Mine was chicken and cheese. It was deep-fried to order and it took a while for it to be brought. It came out piping hot and marked with a branding iron. "catira". Google Translate says "blond woman.". That can't be right? The dough was golden-brown and slightly sweet, the filling melty-cheesey, moderately seasoned, with plenty of shredded chicken. The medium-large piece was enough for the small lunch I wanted. It came with a small container of a spicy mayonnaise-based dipping sauce but could have used more. My only other complaint is it was pretty oily on the outside from the fryer but that perception subsided as it gradually cooled. The coffee (Cubano, negro, sin azûcar) was excellent as I've come to expect in cubanos around here. There were many lunch and breakfast items on the menu, including complete dinners. Venezuelan and American. And several intriguing sweets that were hard to resist but I had too. My cooler was full.

Very good! I got the Pollo Asado arepa and my husband got the tropical arepa. We also got an order of tequeños. The pollo asado was very good. I added avocado, and it was a great touch. It was very filling, flavorful, and well-seasoned. The tequeños came with a green garlic-cilantro sauce that was absolutely delicious.

North Miami, North Miami we have a good one! I've been here a couple of times, but it is time to let the people know. This bakery/cafe is truly legit and a MUST GO! If you're looking for some of the best empanadas you'll find...well this is the place. The Cantra- The shredded chicken and cheese was so, so good. The Pelua- was shredded beef and cheese OH MY! The chorizo empanada- two thumbs up But the Pabellon was the star of the show... with sweet plantains, shredded beef, cheese, etc., it was very, very, very amazing. The arepa wasn't my favorite maybe because of how great the empanadas are. I wish they made some type of spicy green sauce to dip the empanadas in. If they make that happen it'll take the empanadas to another level. Great spot, love that it's in North Miami. 9.7 empanadas out of 10!

An authentic, delicious and well priced Venezuelan option in North Miami. Outstanding service in the front and we even saw a cook named Jesus who greeted us and made us feel at home. They are FRESH. Be prepared to wait 10-20min but it is totally worth it. Well decorated and fun to come alone, with friends or smaller groups. Elisa and Madeline are some of the best and sweetest servers you'll ever meet.

Love this bakery! They're so fast with pick up orders. Prices are fair & the kids meal sanchipapas are perfect portion size. The cachapa tropical is huge & full of cheese, avocado & meat. They're open until 9 which makes them a perfect candidate for an easy dinner!

I came here because I had a beef empanada from before that it was delicious , so I stopped by and order another beef empanada fresh from the kitchen , it did not disappoint, the prices have increased just like any other restaurant, but worth the prices , nice very little place , about 7 small tables and one large corner booth, I recommend this place

The first thing that caught my attention was the beautiful outdoor setup. The lavender accents, the adorable decorative bicycle, and the refreshing mist made such a difference on a hot Miami summer day. It's the only restaurant on the block offering that kind of cooling system, and it's such a thoughtful touch. The outdoor seating is spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room for 2 groups of 4 without feeling crowded. As soon as I walked inside, I was greeted by a warm, cozy atmosphere. Everything was spotless the dining area, the simple yet elegant table settings, and the beautiful pastry display. You can tell they take pride in every detail!! What truly made the experience unforgettable was the customer service. The owner was there personally welcoming guests and made me feel right at home. Everyone had genuine smiles, and before I had even ordered, she generously offered me a complimentary cachapa. That level of hospitality is rare and speaks volumes about how much they care about their customers. The energy of this place is incredible warm, welcoming, and full of heart. It's the kind of restaurant that makes you want to come back, not just for the food but for the experience. I'm so happy I found this hidden gem, and I'll definitely be returning. Highly recommend!

I use to highly recommend the small Venezuelan hole in the wall with great pastry and savory options. However, the service is not worth it. For example today I came by myself walked inside to ask if I could sit at the empty tables outside. The server came a few minutes after with a menu, I tried to make it easy so I said "I am just having chicken tenders and a cup of water please". She said "great so you've been here before". After 10 minutes of sitting alone I walked inside and politely asked for a cup of water. She responded "it's free I'll bring it when I'm ready". So I went back outside sat by myself and a gentlemen sat him self and ordered an espresso. The server made his espresso brought it to him while I am still sitting on the hot side walk without a cup of water. She brought the cup of water while I was getting up to leave. At this point it had been 17 minutes. I told her I was leaving and she said I have to stay for the chicken tenders. I said I would have loved to but the lack of service and disrespect made me loose my appetite. She then went on to call me "Pathetic". I didn't respond I've been in the restaurant industry for 27 years have a quite successful restaurant here in Miami Beach. I don't know the servers name she never told me. But if anyone "owners or investors" want to look into the matter I highly recommend it. She had dark curly hair, was over wait and wearing glasses. Calling a guest"/paying customer "Pathetic" is unacceptable.
