This is a favorite for date night, but also our kiddos favorite restaurant. The service is always top notch and attentive. Reservations are not required but I would recommend as it is a smaller dining space; there is also limited outdoor seating along the front balcony. The restaurant is a beautiful space, a large bar area, and overlooking the Mississippi River. My favorite is the Filet, it is always perfectly cooked, my husband loves the Ribeye. The Tomato and Basil Crusted Chicken Breast is also delicious. Clientele is mixed, you will find suits / dresses but also jeans and polos.

My fiancé and I had a wonderful dinner at Boodalu steakhouse the other night. The restaurant itself is so close to the waterfront and you have a beautiful view of the river looking through the windows from most of the tables. The restaurant itself is charming and inviting, with carpeted floors and comfortable office-like rolling chair seats. We went in around 5:30 and there were not many people there, but sure enough within 20 minutes of people were trickling in. By the time we finish dinner and left around 6:30 or 7, the place was almost full. The food was all so delicious... from the crabcakes, Caesar salad, to the sauce on the pecan crusted salmon - I wish I could take that home with me!! We will be back next time we are in town!!

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience here the other night. He has been here numerous times living close by. So he was very excited to take me here for a lovely dinner. We had called to make a reservation, they weren't all that busy (guessing because of COVID and it was a little early). There is street parking. It is located on a side block by the Mississippi River. We sat down and the hostess was very polite and our waitress Shawn was so nice. She was on top of everything. I ordered the Prosecco which was only $7.50. Not terrible. I ordered the ahi tuna with the soup of the day which was crab and mushroom. Let me tell you, the soup was so amazing! I could have had that again. The tuna was really refreshing as well. I had changed my side for the asparagus. They were kind of dry and don't feel as if paying $3.00 more for it was worth it. My boyfriend ordered the filet of beef, like he usually does. And he always enjoys it with garlic potatoes. I tried both of his and loved it. The steak was so moist and delicious. 10/10.

    14oz ribeye with peas

Typical salad but the ribeye tonight was very good. Not covered in seasoning do the true steak flavor comes through. Easy chewing as well as good flavor The peas had a very good sauce with them that basically took over the flavor but not that it was a bad thing. A little spicy so not what I expected for seasonings with peas

Best steak place in the Quincy area. Bluebell is my go to! wish the menu changed more than it does, it seems pretty static over the years.

We explained to our server Sally they my wife is Gluten free and she was super helpful. They offer a nice menu with a wide variety of food options. We started with their drink specials..a frozen vodka drink and a Redemption bourbon double. Prices were super cheap in our opinion. My wife had the baby back ribs with mixed vegetables and they fell off the bone. Sauce was amazing. I had their Surf and Turf special . Steak was cooked just right and the shrimp stuffed with crab meat were very good. Portions were huge and unfortunately we could not take anything home since we were staying at a hotel. And let me tell you--Cassie behind the bar is the main character. Not "good service"... I'm talking elite, dialed-in, mind-reading, glass-never-empty type of service. The kind that makes you reconsider your life choices and tip heavier than you planned. The beers? Cold enough to make a penguin flinch. The rolls? I don't know what they're putting in those things, but I'd commit minor crimes for another basket. The steak...I'd give it 9 stars. The dessert? Absolutely disrespectful. I saw online that this place had a pretty good salad bar, so after watching the sunset by the river, we came over specifically to try it. Service The staff were incredibly nice. Since we were foreigners, it took us a little while to order because we had to use Google Translate. Our server was very patient--she brought us our drinks first and gave us plenty of time to figure things out. She even told us a little joke to make us feel less awkward, although unfortunately I didn't quite catch it. Anyway, once we finally ordered, she told us we could go help ourselves at the salad bar. I asked, "Is it just one trip?" and she said, "Don't worry, I'm not going to count." That was great. Food The salad bar was honestly fantastic. It had one of my favorite things: broccoli, paired with a fairly light ranch dressing. I went through two full plates of it that evening. I honestly felt like I was the only person in the whole restaurant going crazy over the broccoli, because when I first started taking some, that tray looked almost completely untouched. There were plenty of other options too: two kinds of creamy soup, four or five types of bread, all kinds of leafy greens, macaroni, mushrooms, and more. Honestly, as a Chinese guy, I could have eaten very happily--and very well--on the salad bar alone. I ordered the Baked Salmon. Well... it was basically a piece of chilled salmon that had been baked, but the real star was the sweet-and-savory sauce. I couldn't quite figure out what was in it, but overall it was very good. The salmon was cooked just right: the sauce and the surface of the fish had developed a slightly crisp, caramelized crust, without the salmon becoming overcooked. When I make salmon myself, I like to roast it with lots of cherry tomatoes and lemon to cut through the fishiness. Their approach worked well too--the sauce and the browning helped balance out quite a bit of the fishy flavor. My companion ordered a steak and gave me a small piece. It was medium well, and pretty good too. Atmosphere The atmosphere was nice. There were regular dining tables as well as a large U-shaped bar, very much the kind of classic American restaurant I had imagined. There was also a fairly large waiting area just inside the entrance, which made it obvious that this place probably gets very busy during peak hours.
