The dough was raw in the biscuit. Was flavorless it was like eating a piece of paper. It took them 5 minutes to cook two pieces of bacon because they forgot to turn on the gas. The atmosphere was so thick you could cut it with a knife. The saving grace was the gravy.i say that there is no hope for this restaurant I am going to Mimi's from now on. read more

Boomerang has a fun retro vibe to it. Didn't seem particularly specific to any decade. I've never in my life seen staff clean so constantly and so thoroughly as they were here. So much so it was almost entertaining just to watch. I really think they cleaned the door entirely every time someone went in or out. Wiping down windows (on the outside too!), everything on the table, etc. I'm not sure if this is because of the pandemic, or if this is normal. By looking at the menu/ visiting the website, we found out that this is an Oklahoma chain. I thought that was really interesting, since I've never known a place to have so many locations ALL in just one state (rather than at least being slightly regional or of course a national chain). I got the club sandwich. I'm not a big sandwich person, but it seemed good at the time. I was surprised when it came out cut up in pieces, but apparently this is how club sandwiches are served? It definitely made it easier to eat, since it was stuffed with ingredients. Everything tasted fresh in the sandwich. The only thing I didn't like was that it was a "double decker" sandwich. Since I'm not a big bread or sandwich person to begin with, and also wasn't expecting it to come like that, I ended up actually deconstructing it a bit and taking out the two middle pieces of bread. We got the fried pickles to share as a side, and it's really hard to go wrong with fried pickles! I prefer them when they are the slices (rather than spears) which they were here, so I was extra happy. I just love that salty sour flavor. And they came out nice and hot! So yummy! read more

Visiting from California and we were craving some burgers and some of us wanted breakfast. They were busy but we were able to walk right in and sit down. I gave 4 stars because in our week stay in Paul's Valley we visited twice. Both times the girls who were working were rude, impatient and cut us off while ordering. Both times, we were never checked on after we received our food. For the food and the cooks Delicious. OMG, The double patty melt. I asked for Texas toast instead of wheat bread. So, so good. Diners special very tasty and cooked just perfect. Breakfast, so much food we couldn't eat it all. Also, they sell most burgers and sandwiches separate. read more

First time here. I was hungry after going to the Action Figure Museum next door, so I stopped in. It's right on the corner and there was more than enough parking on a Sunday afternoon. The people working there were very nice and took my order quickly. I got the burger basket with the bacon cheeseburger and tots. It was super tasty. Reading the other reviews, apparently, the chicken fried steak is a good way to go as well. I don't know when I'll be back in this part of Oklahoma, but I'll stop by again if I do. read more

They need to have more made from scratch kitchen and my sausage was burnt in the breakfast scramble and they do not make their own potatoes or home fries which I think is essential if you're going to have a restaurant. We took an impromptu mini road trip to Arbuckle Wilderness. It was fun and the kids had a blast. My husband wanted to go to a Toy Museum in Paul's Valley and this was right next door. This place is super cute! Very retro. The portions were huge. The food was delicious. We got two kids meals, chicken fried steak, and pancakes. The prices were very reasonable as well. One TV with sports on ( it was a Saturday) We came at an off peak meal time and we're greeted right as we walked in with a friendly, sit anywhere you like. Tables, bar counter or booths are available. My grilled chicken sandwich was good. All fried sides were ok, but the batter lacked seasonings. Pleasant. Good cooking. Nicely decorated. From the "have a seat anywhere you'd like" that rings out when you walk in the door, to the 1950's ambience, to the good food quality, Boom-A-Rang has it all. Reminds me a lot of a diner I used to visit with my granddad back in California. Maybe that's why the nostalgia is triggered when I walk in.
