We stopped here for a mid-afternoon lunch on a road trip and were pleasantly surprised at the taste and quality of the cheeseburger and BLT lunch baskets. Happy Days Diner has an extensive menu serving any item all day long. Our server was attentive and friendly. The prices were reasonable, and the portions were perfect - plenty of food to fill us up, but not so much that there was waste. We'll be back to try other menu items. read more

Happy Days was the first place we ate after we moved to Paul's Valley OK. 1900 miles in three days, and a 26' truck to unload on day four. Happy Days was one of the few businesses open on Sunday. I had the chicken fried steak, with fried okra, and sweet tea. Perfect meat to mashed potato to gravy ratio. Got hooked on fried okra and sweet tea as well. Friendly non-judgmental staff. My son and I stopped by while traveling to grab breakfast. The decor was cute and what you would expect from a diner named Happy Days. I was very impressed when the waitress asked two you boys if they wanted their usual so things started out good. The waitress was attentive and our food was good. However, as I sat there in the booth I noticed the faint smell of mold and saw that the ceiling was sagging. When I went to the ladies room at the end of the meal the ceiling was covered in black mold. I now have to say that I'm worried about the employees exposed to this daily. This honestly needs to be addressed right away for the safety of staff and patrons alike. read more

I love this spot. I was on a road trip with my boyfriend and just happened to drive by and I'm so glad I did. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the nicest staff. The food came quick. My coffee was always topped off. And my burger was juicy and delicious. The decoration is a delightful 50's style diner and I am here for it. The food was respectable, typical for what you would get in a diner. The Belgian waffle was rather bland, tasted like what you would get on one of those hotel, breakfast bars, but everything else was good. The service was very good and Tara was excellent! The decor was fun, consistent with the 50s happy days diner theme. And the tables and floors were clean. The only reason for four stars instead of five was the stink coming out of the bathrooms right when you walk in the door. I saw that mentioned on other reviews and apparently they have not fixed the problem. read more

The food was good and the service was just OK. One of our two waitresses took our drink orders-two waters, Dr Pepper, sweet tea, and unsweet tea. She came back with the waters, the DP, and the sweet tea. Completely forgot the unsweet tea. That's fine, no biggie. We asked the second waitress if they serve breakfast all day and she said, "I think so." Maybe she's new, but that's a pretty important thing to know. Also, not a real big deal. Food came out. I had ordered a salad with thousand island dressing and got ranch instead. Again, not a big deal and easily remedied.When we were leaving, there was a lot of commotion happening at the register with the waitresses yelling at each other about being in the way. Then the kicker. A man who appeared to be the owner was our cashier. I pulled out my credit card to pay and he looked at my male companion and said, "whatever happened to the good old days when a man took a lady out and paid for HER lunch " I was quick to respond that I am the BOSS, and THAT's why I'm paying for the lunch. Stopped in for a quick breakfast on Labor Day 2021. Conveniently located less than .5 miles off the highway. Quiant decor, friendly and speedy service and the food was very good. This was another stop on our way back from Dallas. Cool little stop in Pauls Valley. The whole place was decorated as a 50's diner. They had a lot of cool art on the walls which included old stars you would expect and local cars we know from car shows. It is especially cool to talk to the owner and hear how everything came from patrons of the restaurant. The bacon burger was great! I wish I would have been hungrier as the pies looked incredible too!! We heard people raving about the cherry pie while we were there too. read more

It's a locals place that I am sure gets folks off the I35 highway. The service was good, the place was trying hard to have a 50's feel but the local young staff prevented that. Pretty disappointing. We came at 11:30am and we were seated right away. I ordered the shake, rattle and roll, which is a burrito with egg, sausage, and cheese and a side of the country potatoes. The potatoes were decent. The burrito was also decent. The one bad thing about the burrito was the dry and cracking flour tortilla. My boyfriend ordered off the choose 4 menu. He got eggs, hash browns, biscuit and gravy and pancakes. He said the biscuit was not flaky. He says more like a roll. He said the eggs seem like they were liquid, premixed kind. When I saw him cutting into the pancakes with his fork, I could tell they weren't good. Very hard and rubbery. He took one bite and was done. I took 2 bites just to see what he was dealing with and sure enough, they suck! will not be back. read more

My husband and I stopped the Happy Days Diner for a later lunch (around 1:15) and since we needed gas while going through on our RV trip we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. We shared a regular cheese burger plate (came with fries) and some coleslaw. I also had to leave with a chocolate malt! Everything tasted fresh and very tasty. Nothing was greasy in any way. Good thick fries. It was a nice quiet mom and pop stop along the way. The service was good and very friendly people. I asked he lady who seated us for a recommendation and she said she likes the cheese steak but as you can tell, we chose the burger just because a few of the other reviews said the burgers were very good. Again, not disappointed! Next time cheese steak, lol. If we come this way again on one of our RV trips, we know where to stop for a good meal. read more
