I've taken my dog Marley to Boom Town before and had a decent experience, but this recent visit was incredibly disappointing. I originally had an appointment with Kami, which was canceled last minute. I was then booked with Martin at 10:30 AM on August 30th. I arrived on time and clearly described the haircut I wanted for my dog Marley: a teddy bear cut on his head and a 1 or 2 guard on his body. I was told the grooming process typically takes around 4 hours. However, I received a text at 3:24 PM--five hours after drop-off--indicating that Marley's grooming was just beginning. Despite multiple follow-ups, no one was able to clearly explain the delay or the timeline reflected in those texts, which left me to reasonably believe that Marley had been sitting in a cage for hours. This extended wait time was never communicated in advance, and I was not given the option to pick him up earlier. When I returned, it was clear the grooming had been rushed and did not reflect what I had requested. Had I known he'd be sitting in a cage that long, I would've picked him up. The haircut was rushed and poorly executed. His ears were still dirty, his sanitary area untouched, and his coat had long hairs all over. The cut on his face was not what I asked for and cannot be fixed until it grows out. When I raised these concerns, the initial response from the owner acknowledged the groom was not up to Boom Town's standards and offered to redo it. I declined, as I no longer felt comfortable returning after such a stressful experience for Marley. I requested a refund, which was denied. The tone of the conversation shifted dramatically after that, with the owner suddenly defending the groom and suggesting Marley was difficult--despite him having had many successful grooming appointments elsewhere without issue. I asked for a reasonable resolution, not an immediate response, and still received no explanation for why Marley's sanitary area wasn't trimmed, why his ears were filthy, why his breath wasn't refreshed, or why his face was cut so drastically different from the teddy bear style I requested. Marley is groomed every six weeks and previous groomers have confirmed he's never been difficult. It's clear that Martin was unable to communicate effectively and that the service fell short of Boom Town's own standards. Here's what I paid for but did not receive: * No sanitary trim * No breath refresh * No ear cleaning * Incorrect head and face cut I even offered to pay for the body cut, but requested a partial refund for the services that were either skipped or poorly done. I gave Boom Town every opportunity to make this right before resorting to a review or chargeback. Unfortunately, they chose not to take responsibility. I'm sharing this to help other pet owners make informed decisions. decided to finally post this review because this situation still deeply upsets me. The owner did absolutely nothing to help resolve the issue. I took my dog here for grooming, and my son picked him up. As they were leaving, we noticed something was wrong with his eye. We immediately took him to the vet, who told us he had a clean slice in his eyeball. Unfortunately, his eye had to be removed. When we tried to notify the owner, Cherie Perkins, our calls were blatantly ignored and eventually blocked. The only time we were able to get in touch with her was after my husband went to Boomtown in person with our vet bill only to be told the owner was out of town. What makes this situation even worse is that she refused to take responsibility. Instead of covering the vet bill as a business owner should, she made her employee pay for it out of pocket. We weren't even asking for a refund for the grooming services just compensation for our vet expenses. If you love your dog, do not take your fur baby here. This place is unprofessional and unsafe. read more

I have had mixed results and getting my dog groomed in and around college station, so when I came across as highly rated groomer, we had to take her there. after some bad experiences with close, shaving and cuts, I was pretty terrified to take my dog somewhere that I wasn't recommended by a friend. we got her scheduled for a Saturday, which was pretty miraculous. I drop off at 10 and a pick up around 2 pm, my terrier mix came back a happy pup! read more

My Pup came back super clean and wonderful! He got a deshedding treatment and bath, ears, nails etc. And everything went well! I have an 88 pound well behaved German Shepherd who enjoyed his bath time! Everyone was so nice and friendly! Will definitely go back!! AND it doesn't break the bank either!!! read more

Please avoid Boom Town Groomer, they "misunderstood" and shaved my dog. The groomer then tried to blame us. They screened all of our calls when we wanted to speak to the manager/owner. They only answer when we call from different number and we never get a call back from the manager/owner. Found out on Facebook it's a common problem for them to have "misunderstandings". I have 5 dogs that I have taken to get groomed since they were puppies and I have never had a groomer misunderstand enough to shave my dog. I just moved to College Station and I'll be making the trip Houston for my dog grooming needs. They are still ignoring our calls. read more

We were looking for a cat groomer to trim our Persian mix's fur and we just so happened to find Boom Town Groomer. They did an AMAZING job with our cat and were incredibly receptive to how much of a trim I wanted. Now if your cat is highly matted, I believe they will make sure they trim the cat's fur so they do not have the mats and are healthy. My cat didn't have any mats so there was leeway in the amount I wanted trimmed. I would highly recommend this groomer! read more

Did a great job cutting my cats fur. He smelled amazing and didn't have any nicks or cuts. They even gave him a bandana. However, she neglected to cut his under paw fur. For $50 it was a good job, I just wish she took the time to cut his paw fur for that price. read more
